Chapter 552: Chapter 116 Saintess _1

On the street, the crowd of wealthy Beamon humans spotted a little nun hobbling over to the roadside.

The muscular gentlemen of the Emerald group who were passing by also stopped in their tracks, all looking fixedly at this young nun.

Liu Zhenhan had forgotten how strong he was now. Even without using his dragon strength, his original physique was already that of a muscle-bound brute.

For some unknown reason, everybody’s eyes were glued to him, as if they could see right through him.

"Richard! Can you not do that next time? I never said anything when we were still under the leadership of Lord Rosenborg, but why have you returned to your old habits?" Ning Yu looked calmly at Liu Zhenhan, her eyes revealing a hint of annoyance.

"Ning Yu, what’s the big deal?" Moer naturally came to Liu Zhenhan’s defense, even sneering dismissively.

Avril’s attitude led to an outbreak of cold sweat among the surrounding Beamon men.

"What could we do? I’ll just compensate her with some money," Helen said cheerfully.

Liu Zhenhan was suffering from extreme embarrassment at the moment. The two Scepter Shamans were standing next to him, their heads upturned, their eyes full of disbelief and admiration. It was clear that they wished they could do the same thing, but they lacked the nerve.

At such a moment, Liu Zhenhan would not show any cowardice. Although he felt extremely shameful inside, his face betrayed no emotion. He was instead wondering how Ning Yu and the others knew straightaway that he was responsible for the debacle, considering how many people there were.

The human on-lookers were also whispering about the spectacle, making a three-layered circumference around them, which choked both ends of the street. Many among the crowd were burly fellows, carrying weapons and wearing leather armour.

Amidst the clamour of the surging crowd, traces of restlessness were leaking out, attracting the gaze of the soldiers.

Liu Zhenhan glanced back to see why everyone was blaming him. It was no wonder he was their prime suspect. The little nun, who was glaring at him unblinkingly, was not deterred even when several elders tried to pull her away. She kept her eyes on Liu Zhenhan.

Liu Zhenhan shuddered, her gaze was too clear, like a serene and transparent pond with a mirror surface. Even though he was already feeling guilty, meeting her gaze intensified his guilt like never before. He quickly averted his eyes.

Although he felt guilty, he cared about his dignity as well. This was indicative of Liu’s flawed character.

"Any of you have a problem? Believe it or not, I can clear this street!" Liu Zhenhan swished his hair stylishly and pointed his finger at the bustling crowd.

Many people were displeased with his action. However, seeing the opposing team made up of such towering and muscular men, they swallowed their pride.

Liu Zhenhan took the lead and walked towards the crowd without flinching. The crowd obligingly parted to make way for the Beamon men to pass through, and they continued watching them even when they had moved quite far away.

While walking, Ning Yu took out her handkerchief and wiped the sweat off Liu Zhenhan’s forehead. His guilt had caused him to break out in cold sweat. The entire incident was extremely embarrassing, especially for a shaman striving to maintain a gentlemanly demeanor.

Guoguo, who was riding a parrot, flew over to give Liu a thumbs-up.

"Obischillaci!" Liu smiled smugly.

His smile, however, did not last long. For some reason, he felt as if someone was still watching him. Turning his head, he saw the little nun following him not far behind. She was holding her bible, staring at him without any hatred, only a sense of clarity that made his heart ache. That gaze reminded Liu Zhenhan of his wrongdoing.

As they turned two streets, buying a bunch of miscellaneous stuff, the little nun somehow ended up standing by Liu Zhenhan’s side. The soldiers wore a wry smile, while the shopkeepers were embraced with helplessness.

Liu Zhenhan’s face was twisted with discomfort.

In the beginning, he could still put on a forced smile, but after several glances back, he was not able to smile anymore.

Even after they had walked for two blocks, the young nun would not leave him alone. She followed him wherever he went, like a shadow.

Ridden with guilt, Liu Zhenhan was too embarrassed to say anything to the nun. He was even more afraid of looking into her clear gaze.

Ning Yu started a conversation with the little nun. The latter always responded with a sweet smile, and a nod. She did not say much, however, she continued staring at Liu Zhenhan.

After some time, Liu Zhenhan lost his temper.

"I need to go to the washroom, don’t follow me!" He said to the little nun before striding off to a large tree. He didn’t believe she still had the audacity to follow him there.

The little nun, although blushing slightly, still continued to follow. Liu Zhenhan’s movements froze midway...

Both Fat Luo and the centaurs were laughing their heads off. Mr. Invincible, upon setting foot on human territory, was defeated even before a human warrior could lift a finger. He was at a complete loss.

The soldiers were delighted to see their leader’s embarrassment. They got to see this hardly ever.

Liu Zhenhan was speechless. Resignedly, he made adjustments to his robe and led his troops into a bar. He wanted to see how much longer the little nun could persist.

This bar was bustling with all sorts of human mercenaries drinking and partying. As soon as the Beamon men entered, the place quieted down. The barman stared blank-eyed at them, not knowing what to do. The Bard’s song abruptly stopped, and the dancers got up hastily and stared at these Beamon giants.
