Chapter 396: Chapter 86 Fairy Dragon_4
Hearing this, Gortani and Helen furrowed their brows as they pondered deeply. They understood what Richard was implying in his words.
"Indeed it does." Fairy Dragon Daisy replied with a bitter smile.
"My Faelen has the lance and olive branch of the Panta warriors." Liu Zhenhan blinked, watching Newton’s cavalry soaring in the sky, "No one shall let the olive branch slip from my hand."
"What are our chances of winning?" Ning Yu suddenly asked.
"This time our strategy is set early. It’s purely a defensive war with no need for elaborate tactics, the odds are greatly in our favor." As the topic of the war situation arose, an aura of the master strategist emerged on Fairy Dragon Daisy’s face: "A castle like Faelen has no precedent, it’s so sturdy and so detrimental. So long as we hold on for two weeks, no matter how the plans fluctuate, the Beamon Army will arrive. Our chances of winning are high!"
"Even if it’s a battle on the open field," Liu Zhenhan stated grandly, "A fire crane and a Komodo War Behemoth are enough to resist an army of thousands!"
"In battle against humans, underestimating them could lead to immediate defeat." Fairy Dragon Daisy threw some cold water on his enthusiasm, "One can never underestimate humans, especially humans entangled with the Holy Vatican."
"You’re right." Liu Zhenhan paused, his face grew solemn as he nodded in agreement.
"It’s only a battle against mercenaries of a third-rate petty kingdom, perhaps I overthink this." Daisy revealed a smile.
"Always thinking of outsmarting others, but never thought I would also be outsmarted one day?" Liu Zhenhan looked up at the flock of misshapen flying Newton birds in the sky. His face suddenly hardened as a stream of expletives roared from his mouth.
"Formations! F**k! This kind of formation is totally unacceptable!" Liu Zhenhan barked into his cupped hands like a loudspeaker.
An individual expressing his strategic intentions so blatantly was indeed rare.
"My....." Daisy mumbled, upon hearing the master mention the Seven-Colored Dragon. Daisy lowered her head, nervously fiddling with her cloak and stammered out a response.
"What’s so strange about that?" Liu Zhenhan rolled his eyes.
Fairy Dragon Daisy’s expression initially registered puzzlement, then her cheeks flushed with the hue of an evening glow.
"Er...are you implying...?" Liu Zhenhan finally realized what Daisy was hinting at. He pointed towards Fairy Dragon’s jade ring on her hand.
All eyes landed on the Fairy Dragon. Helen and Avril wore expressions suggestive of eager gossipmongers.
Daisy cast her gaze downward, nodding her head in affirmation.
"You finally notified him?" Liu Zhenhan tossed his cigar onto the ground, his face growing stern.
"’He’ was furious upon hearing the news and initially wanted to challenge you to a duel. I assigned ’him’ to Razor Mountain since I wanted to discuss this matter with you. I believe the misunderstandings between us have passed." Daisy bit her lip.
"What does he intend to do?" Liu Zhenhan crossed his arms, his gaze intensifying.
"’He’ cannot possibly defeat you." Daisy looked up at Overlord Piegel, her expression pitiful.
"Since when did you become so modest?" Liu Zhenhan scrutinized her, almost as if he did not recognize Daisy.
"I am speaking the truth." Daisy articulated awkwardly, "This matter cannot be kept a secret for much longer anyway. While the Fairy Dragon can achieve elemental immunity, it cannot possibly defeat a monster with astounding divine power, like you."
"You’re flattering me; you really are!" Liu Zhenhan turned red from the praise.
"Don’t worry. You’re Guoguo’s magic pet, Richard wouldn’t treat you unfairly." Avril covered her mouth, giggling secretly.
Liu Zhenhan’s smile froze suddenly.
"Fairy Dragon?" Liu Zhenhan carefully mulled over Daisy’s words, his brows furrowed deep in thought.
"Yes." Daisy bit her bright red lips till they bled. Her voice was so soft it seemed like a mosquito humming.
At this point, everyone gawked in surprise.
"So you’re saying..." Liu Zhenhan struggled to choose his words, mulling over it for a long while without reaching any conclusion, eventually resorting to a vague question, "Daisy, could you please clarify what you said?"
"Her name is Ruona." Daisy’s shoulders began to tremble violently.
"As long as there’s true love, it doesn’t matter what one does." Liu Zhenhan, his body covered in goosebumps, bravely put his arm around Daisy’s shoulders reassuringly.
Originally, it was just a simple gesture to relieve the awkwardness; however, it caused Daisy to bury herself in Liu Zhenhan’s arms and burst into tears.
Liu Zhenhan’s eyes started darting around naughtily again.
Helen turned around to look for a broom.
Because the floor was all covered in sweat.
