Chapter 393: Chapter 86 Fairy Dragon_1

As expected, Count Totti did not go back on his word, or perhaps, he dared not.

At noon the next day, he indeed arrived at Fei Lengcui once again with his uncle, Marquis Capello.

When the two bat-people descended from the sky, folding their dark wings, the newly formed Fei Lengcui Air Force was in the midst of enthusiastic training.

The wounds on the wings of the Newton Giant Birds, torn open by Liu Zhenhan, were beyond even the healing abilities of Elder Andulan. The flesh on the wings lacked muscle so once torn, it could not heal.

The lord had originally planned to use Fei Wenli’s Python Bile to treat the giant birds, but was sternly stopped by Elder Andulan. The powerful toxin was a double-edged sword and if applied to these acid-spewing magical beasts to heal their wounds, it could pose great danger to their own side as well.

Elder Andulan’s words made sense, but the lord could absolutely not accept the fact that the giant birds he had captured could no longer fly.

In the end, it was Fei Lengcui’s number one boss lady, Ning Yu, who found a compromise. Using her adept sewing skills, she sewed the wounds together with ivory needles and cowhide thread.

The poor boss lady had her work cut out for her. Whether it was a cross wound or a V-shaped wound, she sewed them seamlessly. This left the young beauties around her drooling in envy at her brilliant sewing skills.

The combination of the Newton giant birds with clawed wings, long steel-beak, swathed in fur and windproof glasses worn by the Musketeer cavalry was truly majestic. However, seeing the giant birds spread their wings sent shivers down their spines. These clawed wings looked like the worn-out garments of an ancient beggar, full of centipede-like suture marks.

Both bat-people spotted numerous centaurs from afar standing atop the Red Earth Highland. Among them, one figure stood out, rugged and conspicuous, clearly Piegel. Count Totti, not wanting to meet this angel of death, wished to bypass him and land down the slope. However, Marquis Capello insisted on seeing this demon-like Beamon his nephew often mentioned.

After a brief discussion, two bat-people delicately circled in the air and gracefully landed on top of the slope carried by a gust of wind.

The top of the slope had been glazed to perfection due to the magical flame it’d endured. The slope extended for two hundred blades in length and over a hundred blades wide. Liu Zhenhan stood bare-chested displaying his robust muscles, wearing gold-wire sunglasses, and holding a large cigar in his mouth. Standing on this oversized, natural training ground he lectured the Newton airborne cavalry on the air combat tactics he had developed himself.

The forty Newton giant birds certainly attracted a fair amount of curiosity from the two bat-people. However, their interest waned at the sight of the densely stitched wings. They could hardly suppress a smirk, thinking of it as an army of beggar flying birds scrabbled together.

As there were plenty of Newton giant birds captured, ten of them soared in the sky serving as targets. The large pot tied to their tail confirmed it. The Bologna Red Cranes circled in the sky as enforcements, intimidating this group of Newton birds - although it was entirely unnecessary. Since the fledglings were placed in a large cave on the fourth level, these Newton giant birds had grown accustomed to this reality.

A large crowd had gathered atop the Red Earth Highland at this time, eager to see what surprises the lord might present.

The arrival of the two bat-people did not draw away the attention of the audience.

Among all the audience, the Fairy Dragon was the most curious one. Daisy was very interested in any military innovation. She might have thought the lord was an idiot before, but she couldn’t dare think that way now.

Right now, Liu Zhenhan felt quite troubled in his heart. Training air cavalry was supposed to be a covert task, but how did he end up with so many eyes staring at him? This stage absolutely couldn’t collapse!

Liu Guanren’s background was that of a scout. Never been in airborne troop or had experience as a pilot, he had never even touched an aircraft. What air combat skills could he possibly provide?

Luckily for him, Liu was something of a survivalist. His mind flashed back to a scene of a main character being killed in a movie he had seen and how the formation of the aircraft had been arranged.

Therefore, he kept drilling into the Newton airborne cavalry the limited points of view he could come up with.

Twin Bird Formation - providing cover for each other’s aircraft; Clustered Sideways Roll - aerial evasion; Hovering – a number he made up to fill the gap; Formation Firing - an old trick used in desperation.

Then there was the bombing routine of dive-bombing followed by a vertical climb. Liu broke out in a cold sweat as he rattled off these ideas.

Riding on his noticeably plump Vajra Parrot, wearing a bear skin hat and sunglasses, Guoguo followed Liu Zhenhan’s instructions, kept demonstrating the maneuvers for all the airborne cavalry.

Although he was not a member of the air force, Liu Zhenhan did have basic combat knowledge and skills. Slowly, he found his rhythm. The points he made were incisive and insightful. For a professional soldier like him, no matter how the battle changes, the final goal ultimately remained the same.

The Fairy Dragon, being the most extensively knowledgeable and attentive listener in military matters, tried her best to remember every detail. She recalled anything related to aerial troops from her memory, but could only find the Great War of Gods and Devils a ten thousand years ago when the Demon Clan’s Obsidian Destroyers and Gargoyle had fought a battle against the Aegean’s air force and the Aerial Battle of Tennessee a thousand years earlier when the Beamon bird people had clashed with the human aerial cavalry.
