Chapter 370: Chapter 80 - Frustrations Everywhere_3
But what they had never dreamt of was that both of these charmingly beautiful women from Bimon were Sub-dragon level priests!
It’s not the priests that are so scary, but the pets they command.
The two masters were utterly confused. Weren’t there supposed to be only two priests with Sub-dragon pets in the whole Main Temple of the Northeast Province of the Bimon Kingdom? So, how come they had encountered two, just within this desolate and dilapidated territory of Felcast? What’s more disturbing was that one of the pets seemed to be the renowned Komodo War Behemoth, judging by the electric sparks on its "T" shaped single horn... it must indeed be an attribute of dual-system magic of the Komodo War Behemoth.
To challenge a Sub-dragon level priest, at least the title of Magic Teacher is required within the Mage Guild. It seemed that neither of the masters held the title.
However, the five bottles of "Blood Marrow" they had were a good reassurance. They gave a reason for the two masters to feel confident — after all, even if they couldn’t win, they could still escape. However, they were definitely incapable of assisting their allies in battle.
Through the millennial haze of Heigar, the priests and mages, two ancient rivals, came face to face again.
Facing the rocks thrown by the hedgehogs and skunks like raindrops, the two masters frowned. Even without any followers guarding them, the mages were not weak fish to be slaughtered. Did they really think that those tiny rocks would be able to kill a mage? A red arc of light flashed by, Master Otigha summoned a "Flame Shield" for himself, while Master Fran summoned a "Wormhole Barrier" for protection.
Having being masters with vast experience, they understood the strategy of striking first. They quickly summoned the practical and simplest "Magic Fireball", aiming at the frail bodies of the two beautiful priests, planning firstly to test the caliber of the Priests’ magic pets.
What dismayed them was that although they had locked the attack targets on the priests, the retaliation from the two beautiful priests seemed to be directed towards their own mercenaries.
Under the command of the Fairy Dragon Daisy, Helen and the Beautiful Snake Teacher gave clear attack orders to their magic pets. The Komodo War Behemoth’s "Net Lightning" and the raptor’s "Chain Lightning" were immediately launched towards the densely lined formation of the slow-moving Heavy Scythe-wielders.
The sopping wet armor was highly conductive, these robust Heavy Scythe-wielders, having persevered through countless hardships and overcame adversity, finally met their demise at this moment.
After the fleeting electric light unleashed its mesmerizing radiance, more than half of the Heavy Scythe-wielders convulsed and fell to the ground. The Holy Temple Knights who had been maintaining their spear and axe stance all this while, eventually missed their action.
For the "Magic Fireballs" launched by two of the mages, the two beautiful priests did not take it lightly as well. While commanding their magic pets to clear out the Heavy Scythe-wielders, they summoned a long stored "Lightning Shield" from their amplifying musical instruments.
Both of the beautiful priests had eight face floating Lightning Shields spinning in the air like a carousel. Just these eight Lightning Shields could withstand the torment of about forty Magic Fireballs. These two small fireballs then dissipated in embarrassment.
"Are they shamans like Wei An?" Fran’s face contorted sourly.
Swearing at this damned Octagonal Shield, the two masters quickly changed their strategy, using two mid-level scrolls to summon two slightly stronger spells — "Lava Magma" and "Dimensional Slash" — aiming at the two beautiful priests. The three Magic Apprentices did not stand idle. Although their skills were not that good, they managed to launch three "Fireballs".
To tell the truth, both masters had already planned to escape deep down in their hearts.
"No one interferes! This is my battle!" cried Avril, who had been preparing her speech for a long time. Her "Water Blade Storm" shattered the two masters’ "Dimensional Slash" and "Lava Magma" into fragments, and the remaining water blades continued to wildly smash the two masters’ magic shields.
The fireballs, hesitatingly launched by the three magic apprentices, were extinguished by the three water arrows that she pointed out, reducing them to candles swarming with sparks, like a few beautiful fireworks that burst out into the dark night.
Upon hearing these words, the Fairy Dragon Daisy just pursed her lips.
She knew what Avril was aiming at her.
"Don’t need my help? I want to see what you’re really capable of," thought the Fairy Dragon Daisy to herself.
From the corner of her eye, Daisy noticed a small detail. She saw Avril leisurely fetch an old bamboo root water bottle, carved with dragons and phoenixes, from her bosom after casting the "Water Blade Storm", delicately taking a sip. After quenching her thirst, Avril eagerly launched a series of magic water arrows at the several human mages.
Daisy noticed that Avril did not even summon a "Wave Shield" before starting to battle with the mages, she scoffed and helplessly shook her head.
Looking at Mermaid Princess, the Fairy Dragon muttered, "truly brainless."
After saying this, Daisy quickly spit out a few curses.
Two human mages were utterly vexed, not having had the chance to contest with the Beamon priests when a fellow practitioner made the first move.
One against five? Both masters sneered in their hearts. It was their first time ever to see such an arrogant fellow practitioner.
However, what vexed them even more was that after bombarding each other with spells for a while, this mermaid who was technically one against five, managed to put up a good fight. Since it was a close-range combat, both parties could not summon large scale attack spells from their scrolls. Thus, they simply chose the most practical and readily available magic and continued their duel. Whoever had the faster speed would have the upper hand.
