Boiling Beast Bloodline
Chapter 278 - 53 - Well-trained Robber_3

Chapter 278: Chapter 53 - Well-trained Robber_3

These motley robbers were armed with all sorts of strange weapons, rusty long knives, bows and arrows, stone hammers, and a potluck of others.

A group of gnome knights on both flanks of the robbers’ line griping their bronze halberds guarded their ranks while their short-legged horses snuffed in the dry and cold air, occasionally lowering their heads for a mouthful of wild grass.

The orderliness of the robbers prompted whispers from behind Richard.

To Richard’s surprise, he spotted figures of the Beamon among the robbers, genuine Beamons! There were Wolfs and Piegel.

about to pick up the dragon crystal and use the "Ronan’s Aria"— - “Song of Unidentified Creature Identification" stored inside for testing, he was stopped by the sweet voice of a beautiful snake teacher.

"Don’t be surprised, Richard," Cui Beixi’s voice calmly echoed, "among the Beamon, there are also great robbers and villains."

"What should we do?" Helen clenched Richard’s hand, her palms moist.

Helen was facing this kind of scene for the first time, and it was not just her. Most of the Beamon here had never experienced this kind of scenario. As Richard scanned the crowd, he saw many pale faces, a nervous atmosphere quietly spreading.

The Musketeers of the Kunk tribe and the hedgehog men of the Sea Ditch Rainbow tribe were the most nervous. Richard even saw their hands gripping their weapons trembling.

The faces of more than two hundred bear goblins and ogre slaves weren’t much better. The heavy formation of the bandit coalition forces was, at a glance, at least five thousand strong. The slaves had only experienced battles of few hundred people. Faced with such a formidable array, their faces clearly expressed, "We can’t win!". If it weren’t for the regular militia of the emerald behind them, they would probably run away on the spot.

What surprised Richard was those Musketeers, who hadn’t obeyed his orders to rest, were all lined up behind the vassal tribes. Behind their tall and thin figures, there were some white-robed figures sneaking around, disappearing as soon as they appeared.

One didn’t need to guess to know that those thirteen or fourteen-year-old boys hadn’t followed his instructions and also sneaked to the battlefield.

"Our formation is even worse than that of the robbers," sighed Avril. Being born into an emperor’s family, she knew the importance of formation in a battle. As soon as these words were out, even Gortani, who had always been at odds with her, nodded her head in agreement.

"I didn’t expect the robbers to also form a formation. Although it’s still a bit amateurish, at least it’s already in the embryonic form of an army," Gortani took off her Misha-badge.

The line of emerald warriors had nothing to do with battle formation, there were those who peered out buried in the bamboo forest, and those who were huddled together. The slaves were armed with weapons seized last time, wearing chain mail still imprinted with the hoof prints. A large number of slaves were grouped on the left side of Richard, behind them stood a row of emerald militiamen with cold and condensed eyes.

It was these militiamen who gave a sense of security. Faced with the robbers’ coalition forces, which were several times their own, they were the only ones who could maintain a rock-like expression. The hippopotamus poets even had the leisure to draw swords from their arms, take out pen and paper from their bosom, and scribble on it.

A deep and robust horn sounded from the robber coalition. Amid the loud shoutings, ten bulky grey earth badgers moved from the back to the front. These earth badgers were about five blades long, with body sizes comparable to land dragons, resembling moving meat mountains. These upright-walking giant beasts, equipped with sharp foreclaws and bright fangs, looked just like super giant rats.

On the saddle of each earth badger sat a gnome in copper armor, holding a double spear, and incessantly shouting orders.

These terrifying giant beasts completely crushed the spirit of the Emerald slave warriors and vassal clan warriors. Several of them turned around and ran immediately.

A swift flash of a knife, the heads of two bear goblin slaves who had just run two steps flew into the sky. Their bodies toppled and flew out, and their heads were spinning on the ground.

In front of the two corpses was a bloody ivory chopping knife. Korina’s eyes were colder than ice and harder than iron. His back was still stuck with four ivory hacking knives, each with a thin rope tied around the handle. All the ivory of the mammoths had been marshalled to cope with this battle.

"Who dares to retreat?" Korina roared, "This will be the end!"

The slaves and the vassal clan warriors, under this thunderous roar, shrank their necks and again turned their eyes to the robber coalition.

The clear battle song sounded. The experienced Scepter Shaman, the beautiful snake teacher, used the "Prayer of Light" from the Spirit Communion Song to quietly soothe the trembling vassal clans.

The Elder of Andulan, along with the monks, used the "Prayer of Light" to sooth these cowardly warriors and slaves. The monks’ "Prayer of Light" was more effective than war songs, particularly in calming the heart and mind.

Although the war songs and prayers didn’t eliminate the fears within the vassal clans, at least after listening to the war songs and prayers, their teeth stopped chattering, and their limbs stopped trembling like they had the ague.

Helen paused for a moment, then quickly grasped the situation. Following the instructor’s steps, she cast the "Light of Soothing" on the vassal clan warriors around her.

The overlord seemed to have completely forgotten his priestly duties and continued carving the wooden shaft in his hand like a craftsman. He began pursuing art, endeavoring to craft an image of two dragons playing with a pearl on the wooden shaft. All he needed to do now was to carve out the dragon’s eyes.

His calmness was the backbone of Faelor. Cui Beixi finally admitted this in her heart.

The bandit alliance noticed the execution of deserters on this side. The robbers laughed recklessly, with the sound of weapons hitting shields echoing in waves.

The mammoth powerhouses whistled, and twelve mammoths, wearing palanquins and rattan armor, trampled a large patch of bamboo, revealing their mountain-strong bodies to the bandits.

"F**k your wooden elephant board! Korina, why did your mammoth tread through a whole bamboo grove?" Gude obliquely looked at the Knight Korina.

The bandit’s laughter disappeared in an instant.

Amid the crackling sound of treading on bamboo, even the Earth Badger goblin knights were reining in the giant beasts under them, and all of their high shields were instantly raised.

Two dazzling and sacred lights flashed, a giant tree marmot clad in copper chain armor, and a ten cross beast clad in silver armor, came into the robbers’ view.

The tree marmot, with its glossy black fur, snorted disdainfully at its relative, the earth badger. The ten cross beast, it’s body as if poured out of black iron, resembled a large deer yet had cloven hooves like a bull, and its head was adorned with a pair of sharp cross horns.

Two guardian knights jumped up, raising their kite shields. Gortani held a four-blade long silver cross lance, while Vieri held a wheel axe. The two knights kissed their Misha badges, solemnly pinning them on their helmets and lowering their visors.

Holy Temple Knights! Bronze Knights and Silver Knights!

These two names were certainly not unfamiliar to the robbers who knew the Beamon legend well.

The bandit’s battle array began to show signs of disturbance. The noisy sound wave rang, like a market opening, dissipating the slightly rigid atmosphere of the battlefield.

"No matter how well they form the battle array, bandits will always be bandits. They can’t compare to the humans who invented the battle array." Vieri’s voice was piercingly loud, even through his helmet.

"All I know is that they’re late." Gude said.

"They survived an hour longer." Bellamy said.

"Being late is the right of the weak." O’Neal said.

"I don’t know if I’ll be able to see tomorrow’s sun." Karu said.

"Idiot." The militia said in unison.
