Chapter 182: Chapter 2: Red and Black_1
The civilization of the Aegean Continent was developed based on the shoulders of the Goblins. --- Annotation on the title page of the "Ceremonial Code".

The bear goblins began to dig a hole.
A big hole.
The heated scene reminded Liu Zhenhan of the year they dug a reservoir. A team labored hard for two winters and springs, only to end up with a sieve-like pond that couldn’t hold water.
The bear goblins toiled diligently, mainly because the sinister glances of the overseers on the side forced them to speed up their work pace.
Several steps away from them, a barren tree swayed, with the former leader of the bear goblins hanging from it.
The bear goblin leader was the only goblin who attempted resistance after Liu Zhenhan announced the surrender deadline. The leader had a responsibility, especially the robbers who had been dominating the Donau Wasteland, their courage was far beyond that of the puppet bandit goblins along the border.
This bear goblin brigand was the bravest in the goblin tribe. The bronze ax in his hand was proof of his power. Goblins’ smelting technique was even inferior to that of Beamon. Ordinary bear goblins used nail-headed bats made from the branches of "Iron-Skin Cactus" that had grown in the Donau Wasteland for decades. These cactus branches were strong, and the spikes on them were not easy to break. Only the strongest goblin warriors were allowed to use the bronze weapons unearthed during the time of the Great War between gods and demons.
The bear goblin bandit leader naturally did not want himself and his underlings to surrender so easily, especially after gaining the upper hand and almost reaping the rewards, they ended up being surrounded by a large army.
He desperately shouted words full of agitation and incitement, trying to inject a touch of resistance into the disheartened minions.
However, all the courage of the bear goblins had been completely wiped out in front of the swirling magic water arrows and the powerful elephant warriors. Goblins were cruel and lecherous, but their innate cowardice has always been flowing through their dirty blood vessels. Once their cruelty meets an even more brutal head-on blow, their bravery will melt away like snow under the sun.
Liu Zhenhan carrying a piglet, strolled up the S-shaped paths of the Red Earth Highland. Wherever he went, the bear goblins huddled together immediately dropped their nail-headed bats. Amid the whip and coaxing of the leader, they opened up a straight avenue. The minute snout of the piglet pointed unintentionally in a direction, it would trigger a hysterical scream, disturbances, and large-scale tumbling.
The bear goblin leader, who was spitting out his words, suddenly found that the minions around him had all retreated. He turned his head quickly and was startled to see that Piegel with half long half short weird hairstyle was smiling at him.
"I didn’t expect you to talk so much, keep going." Liu Zhenhan looked at the goblin leader with a smile, he spoke in a very fluent goblin language, mixed with a bit of Northeastern Wasteland accent.
Contrary to common prejudice, Liu Zhenhan, through "Enlightenment of Wisdom", clearly knew some facts that ordinary Beamon and humans did not understand - Goblins were not just robbers, thieves, and villains as every Beamon imagined. The Goblins had an astonishing splendor in the records of the last page of the "Ceremonial Code" given to Liu Zhenhan by Cui Beixi.
Ten thousand years ago, goblins were the smartest race in the world. They were the first wisdom race to have cuneiform writing, the darlings of the Creator God. Goblin traders, with their tamed giant beasts, once spread the shadow of "Goblin’s Shops" all over the remote areas of the Aegean Continent. The saying "Where there’s a road, there’s a Goblin’s Shop" was absolutely not fabricated.
These traveling goblin traders also scattered the seeds of enlightenment of wisdom into the chaotic minds of other wisdom races.
Before the Great War between gods and demons, there emerged countless wise figures among the goblins. A famous goblin hero, "Goblin", could use strange black powder to blast the mountains in search of superior ores a long ten thousand years ago. He could also use ores and steam to make mechanical puppets, an art far above the current human mages and their magical puppets. These heroes who could have cast a brilliant history of goblin civilization were unfortunately all destroyed in the cruel battle with the Demon Clan during the Great War between gods and demons, thus the golden opportunity for the entire goblin clan to leap to success was wilted even before it had blossomed.
Ruthless time caused the remaining goblin clan to lose their own text, and also the way to inherit civilization, after fading. Now, besides filth and brutality, the only thing left to prove their identity is their verbose goblin language. As for the intelligence left by their ancestors, it was "properly" applied to robbery and looting.
Time seemed to play a huge joke, turning the once glorious goblins, after losing their civilization, into the most despicable synonym in the entire Aegean Continent.
These glorious histories, buried by the thick dust of the years after being concealed in the bottom of memory, showed that even the most brilliant civilization history can also be squandered.
Liu Zhenhan looked at this goblin leader with a sigh.
"Who are you...what...what do you want to do?" The bear goblin leader’s answer was a bit confusing due to the intrinsic mental shadow. He was taller than Liu Zhenhan by more than a head, but for some reason, he felt as if he was looking up at Tamerlarya in front of this Piegel.
