Chapter 1568: Chapter 479: A Little Weasel
"Whoa! Using ’Charming Spell’ to pick up girls." The Druid Prince Kaka gazed enviously at the stunning peacock beauty who was currently massaging Liu Shock’s legs and whistled cheekily.
"Richard, I think you’re starting to get boring." Elise sneered coldly beside him.
"Richard isn’t doing it on purpose." Avril sighed, stepped behind Old Liu, and began kneading his shoulders.
Liu Shock was speechless. He had completely forgotten his own Flower King ability, "Flowers Begin to Blind the Eye!"
To put it bluntly, his eyes were "natural charming eyes."
With his current mental power, if he gazed at any ordinary girl with those charming eyes for even a short period, it was inevitable that the girl would fall hopelessly in love with him.
But he really didn’t mean to!
"No way! No wonder Marlena and Susuming were looking at me so strangely back then!" Liu Shock thought silently to himself, feeling just a bit embarrassed.
"Kaka, why don’t you tell us your story?" Avril smiled at the Druid Prince, opting for this tactic to ease the awkwardness.
Kaka wiped a trace of blood from his nose, cleared his throat, and began recounting his origins.
The tribe of this Druid Prince was one of the large Druid settlements that had moved to the Sunset Swamps long ago after the great schism between Elves and Druids.
Back then, the Druid tribe was vast, but over time, it splintered; it’s a common trait among Elves, whose pursuit of freedom and independence runs deep in their very blood.
Over thousands of years, Kaka’s ancestors gradually migrated southward, eventually settling near the Hundred Thousand Mountains.
This remote area has been the most secluded corner of the Aegean Continent since ancient times. The Druids longing for solitude branching off there created roots and settled down.
As the oldest Druid lineage, Kaka had displayed extraordinary talent in transformation magic from a young age. An accidental experiment allowed him to breach the "Space-Time Rift" and slip into the Demon World.
The schism between Elves and Druids occurred roughly over seven thousand years ago, while the Divine-Demon War took place ten thousand years ago. Regarding the demon invaders who once brought carnage to the Aegean Continent, Kaka inherited not only knowledge from his elders but also an indelible, deep-seated hatred.
From then on, Kaka began using his abilities to explore the Demon Continent frequently, for about fifty years now, until he finally provoked the Witch King enough to dispatch troops to capture him alive.
"So tell me, what exactly have you been doing in the Demon World over these fifty years? Murder and arson? Or robbery?" Liu Shock couldn’t help but ask, slightly worried—worried that Kaka’s tales might not match the reality of his deeds in the Demon World.
Morality and conscience form an unbreachable threshold in everyone’s heart. Although Liu Shock himself had once recklessly snatched women off the streets in the Demon World, it didn’t mean he would condone the actions of the Druid he’d rescued if they involved murder, arson, robbery, or unspeakable crimes—whether the victims were from the Demon Clan or the Aegean Race, it was equally unacceptable to him.
That was an entirely different matter from the killing in wartime.
Though Druids are renowned on the Aegean Continent for treasuring life, Liu Shock believed that in this world, no one is truly immutable, especially when faced with the lure of corruption.
"Human nature sure is complex," Elise chuckled lightly and then chimed in melodiously.
"No way I’d stoop to such deeds! I’m a rogue who robs the rich to help the poor! I only target merchant caravans traveling through the wilderness. Plus, I have a rule: I never rob caravans with women and children!" Kaka stuck out his tongue: "Hehehe, but then again, it’s not like I could rob the big cities of the Demon World, even if I wanted to!"
"Don’t downplay it. The Witch King of the Demon Clan dispatched such a massive army to surround and hunt you down; had you not been relentless and fierce, how could you have wiped out their main forces, leaving only one Six-winged Heavenly King and three Dreadlords alive to return?" Liu Shock shook his head: "You little rascal, don’t try to fool me! Eliminating ten Bone Dragons, Liches, and thousands of demon experts is no feat for an ordinary person!"
"Maybe his tribe came to his aid. Druids—especially those from long-bloodline families like his—are always powerful fighters!" Elise expressed her doubt about the rascal’s capabilities.
"There’s no way I relied on others!" Kaka’s face flushed with frustration at being belittled by a beauty, a humiliation no man could endure. "My family had long since relocated to the Dubin Kingdom in the Hundred Thousand Mountains! Those demons tracked me down at our old altar! If they’d come to the Dubin Kingdom to find me, they’d never have made it back alive!"
"Dubin people? Rainbow Magic?" Liu Shock chuckled bitterly to himself—the idea that supposed migrations were just ways of seeking dependence wasn’t lost on him. Nowadays, everyone worth their salt had gone to serve powerful entities.
"The Dubin people do indeed use Rainbow Magic! It’s quite formidable!" Kaka emphatically nodded: "They’re true masters of Magic Gun Chanting!"
"What’s this now?" Liu Shock spat out some saliva, picked a stray hair strand from his tongue, and curiously stared at the young prince: "Magic Gun Chanting? I’m a Sword Chant practitioner—is it anything alike?"
The liquor cabinet against the far wall was forcibly moved, hoisted about three feet off the ground, under the influence of Liu Shock’s Blood Element Control.
"Not exactly," Kaka laughed and shook his head: "Dubin people use metal handles infused with Rainbow Magic, consolidating into long rainbow spears that can be thrown or wielded. They even rely on pole strikes to bounce back magic attacks! Skilled Dubin warriors use spear techniques to fend off attacks from high-level Magical Beasts!"
Liu Shock, Avril, and Elise gawked at each other blankly.
"Doesn’t this sound similar to Iverson’s Flame Sword?" Little Ai asked Liu Shock.
"Rainbows are an optical phenomenon, so Rainbow Magic should also belong to the light magic category! Since Holy Light Magic can reflect magic, it stands to reason Rainbow Magic could also do so; elemental rules are interconnected." The Aegean Flower, ever the insightful Magic Conductor, quickly pieced together the logic: "The Dubin people’s spells remind me of the Blood Elves’ Breaker unit! Rainbow Gun Chanting likely falls under the same category as a Breaker’s abilities!"
"I’ve encountered Moore Breaker warriors before but never fought them." Liu Shock’s interest was piqued: "Hey, Lady Boss, spill the beans—what special abilities do Moore’s Breaker warriors have? Your era was earlier; you might know some insider info about Moore."
"Breaker warriors excel not only in flying blades and close combat but also in two unique skills: ’Magic Absorption,’ which is somewhat akin to a Dreadlord’s ’Arcane Absorption Spell’ but far less exaggerated and can be self-terminated; and ’Banishment,’ which renders the target completely gaseous for a time, making them unable to attack or be attacked! These are Breaker warriors’ signature moves for countering mage units!" Elise proudly smiled: "But when it comes to mages’ nemeses, no one matches us Sif Elves! Demon Clan’s Obsidian Destroyers could be considered close, but their spell-thieving technique still isn’t comparable to the elegance of our Magic Conductors!"
"That said, the Dubin people ought to belong in the Breaker category since they rebound magic—leveraging its force against itself! Combined with spear techniques and throwing expertise, no wonder the Demon Clan doesn’t dare provoke them!" Avril sighed in admiration: "The Aegean’s strength is truly unparalleled; it’s a pity we rarely have opportunities to unite—otherwise, how could the Demon Clan or the Sea Clan dare set their sights on Aegean?"
"The Hundred Thousand Mountains’ territory is vast; it’s tough for the Dubin people to come out unless..." Liu Shock smiled discreetly, having already thought about the batch of crystals he had recently purchased.
"The Dubin people actually have another name—you might be familiar with it—their oldest moniker is Jungle Voodoo Giants!" Kaka grinned slyly.
"Darn it!" Liu Shock suddenly realized: "So the Dubin people are just Green Demons! More evolved, smarter, and culturally advanced Green Demons!"
"Exactly." Kaka puckered his lips and raised his eyebrows: "But they’re not entirely the same; Voodoo Giants and Jungle Green Demons are similar yet distinct—same ancestry, different tribes! Even my ancestors didn’t think highly of such neighbors at first; it took thousands of years before they adapted and changed their perception, because these Dubin people proved to be incredibly smart."
"I respect every race with exceptional intelligence." Liu Shock laughed robustly: "Kaka, when we return to Aegean, let’s visit your city and open a shop to share the flower of friendship with these giants!"
"You got it! I’ve got some clout in the Dubin Kingdom!" Kaka extended his right hand, spread his fingers wide, and playfully wiggled them while raising his brows in delight.
