Chapter 1567: Chapter 478: Learning Magic, No One Can Resist {7}
"I stayed behind because I want to become an official! Even if it means commanding a rookie army, when the war starts, I’ll lead my team, raise the banner, and act as Taige leather, sweeping away one of the Sea Clan’s vanguard forces. Then, out of pride, the Sea Clan and Demon Clan will have to engage! By taking advantage of Feilengcui’s double oil melon strategy, I can easily win over a proud ally and keep the entire Bimon Kingdom intact amidst the chaos! Later, when their battle reaches its climax, that’ll be the perfect moment for me to strike from the sidelines. I believe the humans won’t stand idly by—after all, this is also the Aegean Continent’s anti-invasion war!" Richard slammed his fist against the table next to him, smashing it into bits!
"Such grand ambition." Aegean Flower was genuinely startled by the idea—this plan was quite audacious.
"Stay here? For a whole six months?" Avril was clearly a little unwilling.
"Wishful thinking!" Richard smiled mysteriously. "Stay here for six months? Impossible. Since I have this plan, of course I have an excuse to slip away!"
"Not an easy task! Right now, you’re trying to rescue this fool..." Elise pointed at the Druid tied up like a zongzi next to them. "...For him, you’ve already killed three Dreadlords. Even if the Witch King Paul Newman uses extraction spells to recreate a new Dreadlord later, you’ve created enough hatred as it is! And you’ve said a lot of deeply disrespectful things about Jia Bao. If I were the queen, I wouldn’t spare you either! I’m really worried you’ll be assigned terrifying tasks next—like eliminating Prehistoric Demon Beasts or wiping out three million mechanical abominations! Your powerful equipment is nearly depleted, and the cooldown time for your Mana Memory Pearl is so long... How will you manage?"
"The singing Elf, who are you calling a fool?" The Druid Prince, who had remained silent until then, suddenly shouted angrily. His tone had a soft sweetness characteristic of southern dialect, and he spoke perfectly fluent Aegean Common Language.
This Druid had a delicate, fair face, sparkling and smooth—making people want to pinch it just at first sight. Such a babyface stood out as quite unconventional among the Druids, known across the continent for their rugged and robust appearances.
If it weren’t for his hair and beard hanging down in tendrils like vines and tree roots, his emerald robes woven from tree leaves, and the faint natural aura emanating from him, Richard might have suspected this was an undercover agent sent by the Demon Clan’s Witch King Paul Newman.
"Why is everyone staring at me?" The Druid Prince curiously responded to the odd glances he was receiving.
"Druid kid, your name is Kaka, right?" Richard extinguished his cigarette and circled around the Druid a few times, clicking his tongue as he examined him.
This child of the forest, though not as devastatingly handsome as Gomes, had a babyface that still stood out quite nicely. If auctioned off in the desert, he’d definitely fetch a good price.
He was bound by thin black threads made from an unknown material, clearly strong and durable. His palms near the tiger’s mouth and the back of his neck were pierced by several crystal pins, which seemed to resemble the human invention called the Magic Absorbing Needle, constantly emitting magic power—magical restraints undoubtedly made by the Demon Clan specifically for imprisoning mages.
"Yes, I’m Kaka. Who are you, big brother?" The child of the forest wasn’t slow-witted and greeted Richard with a cheeky grin.
"You’re a few hundred years older than me, how can you call me big brother?" Richard burst into laughter. "Kaka, why did you decide to engage with us? When I first got you out of the Witch King’s grasp, I seem to recall the way you looked at me wasn’t particularly friendly!"
"Even an idiot would recognize a hometown accent and the Sif Elves, wouldn’t they?" This cheeky punk smirked and pointed repeatedly at Elise. "Hey! Singing Elf beauty! You’re so gorgeous! Though we Druids split from the Elves long ago, when it comes to the Demon World, we’re still family."
"You little fool! I’ll let you mention the Druid-Elf split once, but if you dare bring it up a second time, I’ll beat you so hard your mother won’t recognize you!" Elise waved her delicate fist menacingly at Kaka, her pretty face full of threat.
A thousand years ago, Druids and Elves had been one and the same, inseparable; a thousand years later, Druids no longer had any contact with Elves, even changing their worship from the Moon Goddess Eruni to the Forest Goddess Melike—a fact that deeply pained and frustrated the Aegean Flower.
"Ha! That’s hilarious. Our Druid separation from the Elves, are you this worked up about it? Who do you think you are?" Naturally, a Flower Elf’s threat wouldn’t scare a Druid, and Kaka the Prince snorted dismissively, just about to deliver a grandiose line to bolster his image—only to be punched hard in the face. His teeth ached, tears and blood flowing out simultaneously.
"That’s one violent Sif Elf." Richard could only look mournfully at the Druid Prince, helping him cut through the black threads binding his body.
"This is... this is the silk of the Underlord!" Kaka muttered, clutching his nose while struggling to pull out the crystal pins embedded in his tiger’s mouth and neck, tossing them aside. He picked up a snapped thread fragment, gaping at Richard with eyes filled with admiration—his gaze as fervent as the flooded waters of the Sanggan River. "This silk is tougher than steel, and yet you..."
"Just hold onto your nose." Avril, feeling a bit sorry for the baby-faced Druid whose nose was still bleeding, pulled out a fragrant, snow-white handkerchief and handed it to him.
"Thank you." Kaka took the handkerchief and glanced shyly at Elise.
A Sif Elf, known for their beauty but never directly participating in combat, casually delivered one punch that left the tough-skinned Druid like this—if word got out, even the Earth Dragon would laugh its fangs off.
"Greetings, dear countrymen. I am Ricardo Izeson Santos Light Kaka, a Prince from the Druid tribe of the Sunset Swamp’s Aisimilan Clan!" The baby-faced Druid flicked his hair, held the handkerchief to his nose, and murmured, "I’ve been listening to your conversation for a while now, although I only grasped bits and pieces. Nonetheless, allow me to first express my gratitude! A life-saving act, I will never forget!"
"Such a long name! You must come from a very ancient Druid bloodline!" Aegean Flower whistled and chuckled. "I’m Flower Queen Elise! Little fool, I could easily ensure you ’never forget’!"
"Your lover is quite fierce." Kaka, floored by awe, glanced at Elise and murmured discreetly to Richard.
"I’m the Feilengcui Lord of the Bimon Kingdom, Flower King Richard." Richard pulled a box of special Snow Mountain Red Flower anti-bleeding powder, made by mountain Giants, from his pocket and smiled at the baby-faced Druid. "Give me your hand."
"Oh! You... You’re actually Beamon?" Druid Kaka was stunned, nearly dropping his jaw in disbelief.
"Indeed, Richard is of the Piegel race in Beamon!" Little Ai nodded politely to the young Druid. "I am his wife, Avril."
"Piegel?" Kaka slapped his forehead, took a sharp breath inward, then let out a playful hiss. Smiling cheekily, he said to Avril, "Beautiful lady, you must be a Mermaid, right? I can sense Water Elements from you. The handsome Piegel Lord Richard and you truly are a perfect match!"
"You’re too kind, I’m merely a Mermaid of the sea—a natural resonance with Water Elements is all." Avril modestly covered her small mouth as she chuckled lightly. Times had changed; the once youthful and cocky Little Ai was now a mere intermediate Water Mage, evident as her mediocre power of Water Elements was easily discerned by others.
"The Sunset Swamp also has Swamp Mermaids, but they’re not even a fraction as beautiful as you!" The cheeky punk flattered her enthusiastically.
"Those are Mermaids, similar to Kou Tao Merfolk! Not ’beautiful’ Mermaids!" Richard leaned in toward the Druid with a grin, pinning him by the neck and sprinkling the medicine on his wounds.
"Richard, big bro, have you disguised yourself? Why do you look so much like a Silver Eye?"
"No, I just have a peculiar appearance."
"So, you’re a unique Silver Eye rebel? Like a good guy helping mechanical abominations—a traitor?"
"Nonsense! I’m Piegel race Beamon." Richard blinked before laughing. "Damn! Does the Demon World have intelligent mechanical abominations that have defected, helped by the Demon Clan?"
"Of course. They’re life-loving Demons, understood simply as heartwarming fools with too much free time."
"Kaka, while on the Aegean Continent, did you ever visit the Bimon Kingdom or the Aegean Human territories?" Richard tore off a sleeve to bandage the young Druid’s neck wound.
"Too far, never been! I usually just played in the Hundred Thousand Mountains. But I’ve heard about it—at the end of the Sunset Swamp is where your Beamon territory begins."
"That’s the border."
"Ha, yes, the border."
"Kaka, tell me about yourself. I’m all ears—how did you end up in the Demon World? What made you come here? And how did you manage to provoke the Witch King so much he captured you?" Richard pulled up a chair and sat down, beckoning over the peacock beauty. The trembling peacock girl nervously approached, arms wrapped around herself, unable to even lift her eyes.
"Massage my legs." Richard plopped his legs up onto another chair with a clatter, using his fingers to lift the delicate chin of the misty-eyed peacock beauty. Under his commanding gaze, she quickly morphed into the perfectly obedient servant girl, her tiny fists pounding rhythmically.
