During its return, the guard’s mouth re-closed, relying on the dense rows of fangs within to latch into pre-drilled slots located at the base of the blade. This ensured the sword’s stability during typical combat scenarios.

The Fear Knight, now missing one horn, clutched his head in surprise. He and the other three guards fixed hostile, fiery gazes on Liu Shock.

"My apologies! My apologies!" Liu Shock quickly called out. He genuinely hadn’t meant to do it.

"Majesty, the Fiat Longsword is permanently enchanted with the ’Swallow Return Technique.’ During duels, life and death are dictated by fate, but recklessly harming a Knight without valid cause—no matter who—is a grave offense! I hope you will take more care in the future!" The leading Demon Clan guard’s tone was sharp, though tempered. After all, this bumbling Heavenly King had acted accidentally.
