Chapter 1540: Chapter 462: The True Form of the Sea Demon_2

"Let me show you something!" Liu Zhenhan said to Elise, "Don’t blink!"

The Aegean Flower was nearly scared to death by Old Liu suddenly sprouting eight arms. She instinctively prepared to scream, but Old Liu pulled her into his embrace, using four or five hands to tightly cover her little mouth.

"Are you trying to get us killed? Do you realize we’re in the Demon Clan’s palace?" Liu Zhenhan scolded in a low voice.

"By the Moon Goddess, what kind of monster are you?" A shiver ran down Elise’s icy, snow-white skin as her gaze filled with terror.

"Will you still dare to mess with me from now on?" Old Liu asked smugly.

Elise shook her head vigorously.

"So, if I say something, are you still going to contradict me?"

Elise shook her head even harder.

"You’ve held her long enough, don’t you think?" Avril huffed from the bed.

With those words, the barely clad Old Liu and Elise finally noticed they were tightly embracing each other.

It wasn’t intentional.

Really, it wasn’t intentional.

Purely a matter of habit.

The impulsive Aegean Flower, who usually resorted to fists rather than words, struggled to hold back her urge to hit Feilengcui’s Overlord.

She could barely handle his two hands before, let alone a full eight—he looked like a giant crab now!

"This is the third-level domain barrier ’Squid Form’!" Liu Zhenhan laughed awkwardly to cover his embarrassment, proudly showing off his six blood-red arms like a treasure. "Divine Princess, take a look. These arms of mine are all shaped by Blood Magic Power. Apart from not being the real deal, they’re practically indistinguishable from the originals."

"In close combat, this would be super useful!" Elise’s eyes sparkled, as a seasoned fighting enthusiast, fully aware of the advantages those extra arms provided.

"Naturally." Avril smiled brilliantly and poked out four slender water-blue hands from the covers, playfully waving them at Elise.

"This is ridiculous! Mermaids aren’t melee fighters; they’re innate water mages. Does this dual cultivation barrier even serve a purpose? You can’t cast three spells at the same time!" Aegean Flower was perplexed.

"Shows how little you know." Old Liu pouted. "Those magical arms aren’t just for fighting—they can serve as shields in critical moments! These arms are formed purely from Magic Power and are fully materialized!"

"Elise, look! There’s more!" A sharp, water-blue crystalline prawn horn suddenly jutted out from Avril’s forehead.

"Pfft..." The Aegean Flower covered her mouth, laughing uncontrollably as she crouched to the floor. A beautiful woman suddenly sporting a horn like a unicorn was undeniably absurd.

"And there’s this." Old Liu pushed off the ground and suddenly soared into the air, leaping seven to eight meters high, almost touching the roof of the guest villa.

"Haha, so this barrier grants mermaids exceptional jumping power, combining agility with magic!" Elise finally understood. It turned out this pair of lovebirds had just begun to showcase its primary capabilities.

"This is ’Prawn Leap.’ Naturally, ’Squid Form’ includes this ability as well. The Prawnians are renowned for their eight arms, double legs, and incredible jumping skills." Avril nodded. "Among Sea Clan species adept at jumping, Prawnians might not be the best, but they’re far from the worst!"

"This reminds me of Legolas. His triple jump in mid-air was truly impressive!" Aegean Flower suddenly felt curious. "Avril, you mentioned Prawnians aren’t the best jumpers among the Sea Clan, so which species excels at it? Can anyone match Golden Elves?"

"Triple jumps in mid-air? No Sea Clan can do that." Avril shook her head.

"But if you’re asking who jumps the highest, I know a Sea Clan species that out-jumps Golden Elves!" Old Liu smiled.

"Who?"

"Banilou Warriors! Reverse-tide whale warriors can typically leap twenty meters high. The former general of Seia Empire’s Imperial Guard, Figo, could jump thirty meters! That means he could leap from Red Earth Square straight to the third-level cave!" Liu Zhenhan explained.

"Impossible!" Elise gasped incredulously. "How could someone as giant as Figo possibly jump so high?"

"He rarely showcases this talent simply because he doesn’t need to. In his presence, nearly all warriors are shorter and weaker than him." Old Liu shrugged. "Banilou Warriors leap out of the water for fun. On land, why would they jump so high? Climbing trees? What tree could bear their weight? He’s hardly light-footed like the Golden Elves, and with a ton of muscle, he’s a massive hulking giant!"

"Which is why elves are the most perfect race of all." Elise drifted into self-admiration again.

"Shhh!" Liu Zhenhan raised an eyebrow, holding up a finger to hush Avril, who was poised to refute her.

"Don’t make any noise. Someone’s coming over—nothing much, just some guards." Liu Zhenhan gestured toward the curtains and waved to Avril to hide under the covers.

"Shall we go into the ring?" Elise whispered.

"No need. They’re probably delivering equipment." Liu Zhenhan replied.

Sure enough, five Demon Clan guards—a team including two Fear Knights, two Silver-Eyed Winged Knights, and one Obsidian Destroyer—arrived at the guest villa to deliver equipment for the Left Bank Heavenly King. All were towering and intimidating figures, except for the thin and frail Obsidian Destroyer whose elemental fluctuations were the strongest.

"What kind of stuff even is this?" Liu Zhenhan stood on the terrace steps, flipping through the items in his hand while asking the guards.

The Witch King Jia Bao had sent over Left Bank Heavenly King equipment, including a pair of metallic gauntlets similar to those used by barbarian warriors, a longsword, and a dozen cylindrical crystal vials.

The twelve crystal vials, at first glance, resembled royal jelly containers. Inside the translucent bottles was a viscous, red-black liquid. The gauntlets were crafted from Obsidian Gold, a rare material exclusive to the Demon World, with fine weaving patterns showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. The battle sword was entirely transparent, illuminated with an icy clarity, designed in an antiquated style. Its crystal scabbard was adorned with the branch-and-vine motif of Pandora Rose encircling a cross-feather badge—an unusual design deviating from the Demon Clan’s tradition, which typically featured diamond-shaped feather badges for Winged Magic Knights.

"Respected Heavenly King Karu, these are the Left Bank Gauntlets. When worn, they function as ordinary gloves, but during battle, they can transform into full body armor! And this battle sword was painstakingly crafted by the best artisans from our coastal clans—this is the Left Bank Heavenly King’s exclusive weapon, ’Fiat Longsword’!" The Obsidian Destroyer guard explained reverently.

"Fiat Longsword?" Liu Zhenhan smacked his lips and placed his hand on the sword hilt, slowly drawing out the crystal-clear, glass-like blade. A piercing, icy gleam sparkled sharply.

"Your Grace, how does it feel?" the lead Obsidian Destroyer asked with a broad smile.

Liu Zhenhan flicked his wrist and spun the blade expertly, producing a dazzling flower of light. He methodically aimed and inspected the balance from hilt to tip.

The craftsmanship was undoubtedly top-tier!
