Chapter 1419: Chapter 407: Lose at Sunrise, Gain at Sunset
Dragon Clan script or not, Old Liu could no longer care less.
In the cold pond, with a "splash," water splashed everywhere, and a huge serpentine water monster suddenly emerged in the center of the turquoise water.
This monster’s body was pale green and white, its skin slick without a single scale. At first glance, it looked like a giant python; upon closer inspection, it somewhat resembled a giant eel. It had a large triangular head the size of a fighting ring, equipped with two long fleshy whiskers and a pair of narrow giant eyes. Its oak wine barrel-like body twisted through the cold water, casting a thick black shadow, and was extremely ugly and terrifying.
The air fell silent for about half a second before Nini’s scream sounded. The water monster, as if provoked, shot out two screen-like gill whiskers. Its bulky body split the water waves and ferociously lunged toward the shore with an overwhelming momentum.
Stunned, Liu reflexively pulled out the invaluable Chevrolet double-edged battle axe, raised his arm and hurled it at the water monster, followed by a wave of his left hand. He plucked a white snowy fluff flower blooming on the frozen ground and flicked it in mid-air. Spinning like a needle through linen, the snowy fluff flower pierced one of the water monster’s giant eyes with unstoppable force.
Dragon Knight Lampard, true to his reputation as a loyal, brave, and powerful figure of the holy temple, had already drawn his famed blade "Star Sea Cleanser". He stepped forward, using his robust body to shield the old boss and the Mage behind him, widely spreading himself as a human shield.
Since he had been continuously using Dou Qi to fend off the severe cold, upon seeing the water monster recklessly pounce forward, Lampard swung his Star Sea Cleanser longsword above his head, gathering a tangible sphere of Dou Qi. With a flick of the sword tip, he struck out a star-bright azure sword glow; his golden cape fluttering. Aligned with Lampard’s sword direction, the monster’s fighting-ring sized head first was hit by a flying blossom, then got split by the rolling azure sword glow, its dark purple blood bursting forth like a fan.
Beckham, as the captain of the chilly green Mage team, was also quick to react. Like an expert Flying Dagger thrower, he quickly flicked two dazzlingly red Magic Wands from his sleeves, holding them crossed in an X and scattering a fiery red arc of elemental light. With a twist of his waist and a side kick, he launched two spinning indigo "Blades of Flames."
Like flying giant shears, the two "Blades of Flames" carved two bizarre and distant arcs in mid-air, crossing behind the monster’s neck and then quietly diving into the icy cold pond, soundlessly.
Accompanying the Blades of Flames were a sharp Blood Arrow and the "Nai’aozu Heart Piercer". Both the arrow and piercer, with a screeching wind, grazed over the surface of the cold pond. The intense air pressure forcibly split two furrows in the water, while the steaming cold mist quickly froze the liquid Blood Arrow into a crimson Ice Crystal arrow.
With a "thud," the frosty Blood Arrow penetrated deeply into the body of the submerged monster, instantly dispersing a large cloud of ink-like dark purple in the clear icy water.
The "Nai’aozu Heart Piercer" was the only failure; the water monster had not activated its Magic Shield, and the piercing attack passed straight through its body, causing a large mushroom-shaped splash on the water’s surface but achieving no effect, frustrating Guoguo immensely.
Just as a host of summoned Ring Spirits fiercely emerged from the dark space, there was no longer any use for them; the python-like monster, crushed by several heavy attacks, did not utter a sound before collapsing with a "bang" onto the water surface, its fighting-ring sized head and barrel-thick body quietly breaking into two halves, creating a tall wave-like a human wall, surging ferociously towards the shore.
Fortunately, Gerein and Xu Dela’s statures were massive enough, like two flying fortresses, firmly covering the sky ahead, preventing the chilling wave from giving everyone a cold shower.
Stunned, Liu scratched his head and exchanged eye rolls with Lampard and Xiao Bei, surprised at how easily the monster was defeated, seemingly unworthy of its robust build.
In just this brief moment, the two summoned Ring Spirits, drenched by the pond water, emitted cracking noises. Pale blue Ice Crystals, like upstream swimming fish, rapidly spread over Gerein and Xu Dela’s bodies, refracting a colorful, cold beauty when hit by sunlight.
A group of Flower Elves, still not having recovered, stared dumbfounded at the three-member frigid green diplomatic team, their gazes filled with shock.
Liu was somewhat immersed in that gaze, feeling that it must have been the immense strength he displayed instantaneously that had shocked these foolishly arrogant Upper Elves, making them admire him.
Maybe from now on they would stop following Mourinho and instead follow him. Liu felt quite pleased with himself.
"Damn Barbarians! Do you know how many years we Flower Elves have been cultivating that Ice Eel?" Elder Flower Elf Cech, furious, threw away his Carved Steel Shovel and flew to Liu’s side, angrily rebuking him: "Is your brain stuck in a tree branch? Other than fighting and killing, do you know anything else?"
"Eel Loach?" Liu stuck out his tongue; he hadn’t expected that the monster was actually a giant eel, which Liu was very familiar with.
How could eels live in such cold pond water? And why would the Flower Elves cultivate such fierce, foolish creatures? Liu was somewhat perplexed.
