Chapter 1229: Chapter 335: The Mud-footed Giant of Gebul

"If I don’t do this, I’m afraid my heart can’t take it and might just burst with happiness--------The Andulan elders only know five kinds of prayers, which are to stop bleeding, regenerate flesh, purify blood, calm the mind, and perform last rites. I can’t believe the Difeng Giant would say there are a total of ten kinds of prayers!"

"My goodness!" exclaimed Liu, shocked.

Guoguo and the little parrot squeezed out of the iron bars and joined Liu in his frenzy. As they fluttered around, Guoguo’s giggles and the parrot’s chatter filled the gloomy prison with noise.

The giants in the entire cell watched the Beamon Shaman who seemed to have gone mad, along with his pets, blinking and looking at each other in bewilderment.

"Why have you been caught and brought here by Rommel, Difeng Giants?" Liu reined in his laughter, pacing back and forth along the wide corridor with his hands behind his back. He didn’t believe a smart man like Rommel would do something irrelevant; since he had imprisoned the Difeng Giants, there must be a reason.

The Difeng Giants trapped in the cages sighed and shook their heads with a rueful smile.

"What’s the matter?" Liu asked curiously. "Since we’re all in the same boat, there’s no harm in sharing our experiences, right?"

"Respected Beamon Shaman, I am Kien, the chieftain of the Difeng Giants." A particularly honest and sturdy Difeng Giant smiled and introduced himself. "Our story is a bit awkward to start because we’ve really run into a streak of bad luck."

"Don’t rush, take your time," Liu said, swaying over to the chieftain Kien’s cage with a friendly smile.

"First, take a look at this." Chieftain Kien weakly lifted his huge foot, placing it on the iron bars as thick as a child’s arm, obstructing the light so that Liu had difficulty seeing clearly. Liu turned and grabbed the steam oil lamp hanging from the cage, shining it onto the pair of giant feet.

Wow, those are some huge feet! They were at least three times the size of Liu’s own feet. If you were to buy shoes at a supply and marketing cooperative back in the day, with a size over 120, you’d be destined to be a Barefoot Immortal for life.

Liu studied the huge feet with the steam oil lamp from the left, right, above, and below, only to grow more incredulous. The huge foot was riddled with cracks, looking like parched land with lines of fissures, and the skin was the color of earthy gray. Between the toes, clusters of green sprouts were growing. At first glance, they looked less like flesh and more like clay!

"My goodness!" Liu’s scalp tingled. These feet were just too unusual—they could even grow grass. If they were watered with a couple of ladles of manure, they might just turn into the Donau Wasteland.

"You see, our feet look as though they are made of clay," said the Difeng Giant chieftain Kien, putting his foot back down and shrugging helplessly.

"I already heard a little about you from Rommel. It’s said that your feet can’t touch water," Liu nodded. "Is it true they will dissolve upon contact?"

"It’s not that serious. But it is very painful; so much that we’d roll around on the ground in agony. Our feet would only dissolve after being soaked in water for a long time," Chieftain Kien answered earnestly.

"In my territory, there is a group of your kin, the Flame Giants. They also suffer intense pain when water touches their skin, just like you, except for one little giant named Napoleon who isn’t afraid. Speaking of which," Liu sighed, "the Difeng Giants are actually better off, with only their feet being vulnerable to water. The Flame Giants can’t have water touch any part of them, and even swim in rivers of molten lava."

"How do they live, then? What if it rains?" Chieftain Kien and several other Difeng Giants asked curiously.

"They live in the Underground World, where it doesn’t rain," replied Liu. Then he asked, "What about you? The Difeng Giants live on the surface. What do you do when it rains?"

"We live in mountain caves," Chieftain Kien sighed. "Actually... actually, we Difeng Giants quite like water and are not that bothered by rainy weather."

"Oh? Is that so?" Liu was surprised. Considering their mud-like legs, they aren’t bothered by rain?

"You must be wondering why we have a third eye, right? I noticed you’ve been looking at it," Chieftain Kien smiled. "The Creator is fair. As you said, the Flame Giants fear water, so they live underground where there is no rain. We Difeng Giants can’t let our feet touch water, so we have a third eye that helps us to alter misfortune."

"Your third eye... could it possibly be... for avoiding water?" Liu’s jaw nearly dropped, incredulous. No way! Even the Dragon Ball under Dragon Lord’s control only had such a function! That’s too unfair! The Beamon House could also have a third eye, but they don’t possess such extraordinary abilities!

"Avoid water? That ability would be too exaggerated! Our third eye is not that powerful!" Chieftain Kien laughed apologetically. "Our Difeng Giant’s third eye can emit ’Doppler Rays’, which can transform different Elemental Powers into ’Liuli Gold’, a form of Metal Magic."

"No way! Liuli Gold?" Liu was stunned, his mind plunged into chaos. He never expected—absolutely never expected—that the Difeng Giant’s ’Doppler Rays’ could have such an unusual effect!

Liuli Gold belonged to a very special category of Metal Magic on the Aegean Continent and only one Magical Beast possessed that ability—the pinnacle of Metal Magic with unparalleled physical combat power, the Seven-Colored Dragon!
