Chapter 1191: Chapter 321 Pipa Archer_3
The city wall was now manned by only a team of sentinels and a group of Beamon nobility, who had rushed out of a sea of ants in a rather disheveled state. The Beamon soldiers now all appeared rather unkempt, whereas Liu Shock naturally couldn’t let the nobles also look so shabby. Therefore, there was a clear distinction between the nobility and the soldiers on the city wall.
Commander Mulan had seen with her own eyes these Beamons enter the ancient city without any supplies or provisions. To say so was completely presumptive and made complete sense—of course, Liu Shock wasn’t foolish enough to explain this to the Mulan commander.
"Alright, Rommel, you don’t need to speak so loudly. Disturbing our morale is useless against us!" Liu Shock said with a smile. "I want to ask you again, can I understand it this way, that apart from abandoning our pride and dignity to surrender to you, and suffering the indignity you impose on us, this remnant Bimon Army only has the path of complete annihilation left?"
"Tomorrow, Hu Ye Ancient City will be back to normal! You don’t have a chance! Today, twenty thousand of Mulan’s Sudan’s Imperial Guard have also come to reinforce me! The Imperial Guard officers are very eager to fight with you, to personally defeat the strongest army of the Aegean Continent, is the greatest pride of the proud Mulan Mojie!" Commander Rommel pursed his lips and slightly shook his head. "Divine spokesperson, you are very brave. We Mulan have only two Pterosaur Knights, and I hadn’t expected the invincible Madawiki Knight to die at your hand, but it seems your magical pet has also been swallowed by the ant sea, hehe... No matter how valiant one is personally, they’re still of little use faced with an army numbering in tens of thousands. I’m asking you for the very last time now, will you surrender or not?"
"I personally am willing to surrender, because I am the Shaman of Divine Songs, and the spokesperson of the war god cannot die! But it’s just me alone! Not a single Beamon soldier inside the ancient city will surrender! If you really want to prove the bravery of Mulan’s warriors, then come and try!" Liu Shock laughed heartily, "Without witnessing your strength, I absolutely won’t surrender!"
"Your Highness... You..." Prince Kahn looked horrified, as such words from the Shaman of Divine Songs before the battle would severely damage the soldiers’ morale.
Liu Shock waved his hand to stop Prince Lionheart from saying more.
"I wonder what expression would cross the faces of common Beamons if I marched into the Bimon Kingdom with the spokesperson of the Bimon divine right? Despair? Or complete hopelessness? When my poor mother went through hard times, why didn’t I see your war god come to rescue her? Ah! What a great idea!" Mulan’s commander looked up in thought, then gave Liu Shock a very cruel smile. "Messenger of Beamon’s divine right! I accept your surrender! You can start praying now... once my Mulan Mojies break into the ancient city, you won’t even have time to send the souls of these Beamons on their way! I will have every Beamon woman here taste what my mother endured! You are fortunate to witness all of it! Try your hardest to stop me! I hope you can hold back! I want you, the messenger of the war god, to watch helplessly as this tragedy unfolds before you! I will make your ethereal deities become utterly worthless!"
"We’ll see if you have the ability! Enjoying the desperate looks of enemies is something I also quite like to do!" Liu Shock folded his arms and laughed haughtily, "Come on! The unbeatable beauty who dominates the desert! Come forth! Let the bones of Mulan’s warriors fill the front of the ancient city ruins! I’ve also been waiting for this moment for a long time! Don’t give me the chance to surrender to you voluntarily!"
"What a rampant beast!" Without waiting for the commander to speak, one of the Desert Elves stood up and cursed indignantly.
This Desert Elf seemed about thirty years old, handsome and mature, draped in a scarlet banner, cradling a musical instrument-shaped case.
This Desert Elf flipped his hand, and the case floated far from his embrace, revealing a strikingly metallic instrument, with a curved neck, four sides and twelve frets—an unmistakable pipa. The Desert Elf’s posing was also half-concealed, as cool as the head of a mammoth giant.
Liu Shock rolled his eyes, thinking this elf, after all a man, was prancing around with a pipa—did he see himself as the Heavenly King who holds the nation or as Wang Zhaojun?
"I’ve heard that the Divine Archers of Beamon are unmatched under the heavens, is there any Divine Archer among the Beamons interested in a contest with me? I am a Desert Elf, and the Pipa Shooting Technique is our traditional secret skill. In Taklamago, we Desert Elves have never met our match! I see you also have a few with bows, do you have the courage?" The Desert Elf surveyed several archers on the city wall, his scarlet banner fluttering in the wind, revealing a row of pouches on either side of the banner’s lining, filled with nine-inch short arrows of alternating yellow and black colors—no wonder he had no quiver.
"I’ll do it!" One of the Divine Archers from the "Wind of Beiga" squad stepped forward indignantly, furiously waving his copper and red sandalwood longbow, and roaring at the Desert Elf below: "You don’t have to provoke us intentionally, trying to crush our morale! Beamon’s Hous Divine Archers are not afraid of any challenge! You’re asking for death!"
"Are you ready to die then?" The Desert Elf chuckled, lightly stroking the five vertical strings on his pipa, producing a chilling, warlike sound. Instantly, five alternating black and yellow arrows attached to the strings flew miraculously from the banner, streaking toward Divine Archer Zheqin on the city wall, followed only after by a series of sonorous plucking sounds.
Mulan’s commander chuckled and waved his hand, and an Arsenic Giant swung his thick arm, hurling a torch towards the ancient city ruins. The flickering firelight, like a meteor, trailed a fiery streak across the sky, spinning a dazzling pattern.
Almost simultaneously with the Arsenic Giant throwing the torch, five black and yellow shadows flew out like lightning from the Desert Elf’s pipa strings, heading straight for the Hous Divine Archer Zheqin on the city wall. The sound of the forceful plucking followed shortly after.
