Chapter 1186: Chapter 320 Fawkes Mulan Commander

The Mulan commander quickly let all the Beamons witness his prowess once again.

For three whole days, the ants surrounded the ruins of the ancient city. Many of the smaller ants couldn’t withstand the heavy, cold fog of the desert night and were frozen to death. After all, they were merely single-celled organisms, these ants had loyalty but no wisdom, and they certainly didn’t have double-layered ceramic jars with lime to keep warm.

During those three days and nights, Liu Zhenhan experienced both sorrow and joy.

The sorrow was: being ravaged by blood-sucking bats, a total of one hundred seventy-nine warriors died, including one hundred seventeen Piegel warriors and sixty-two Buer Warriors. This added insult to injury for the already disheveled Turun Alliance. Now, their situation was even worse, with General Reyes only having one hundred fifty warty pig warriors left, not even enough for a respectable guard; and after three days, the Forbidden Magic Domain of Magnetic City still existed, not wavering for a moment.

The joy was: Helen took out the footage of Mourinho chanting the "Great Wind Song" during the sacrificial ceremony, shattering the vase, and everyone had the opportunity to study it together.

The syllables of this self-created war song were composed of Ancient Elvish and Beamon ancient language. There were no other complex language systems. With Liu Zhenhan, a foreign elf, and the guidance of the live video footage, the priests learned much faster than the traditional way.

Besides Liu Zhenhan, no other priest could fully master this magic war song as of now; however, as long as there was enough research time and teaching resources, it was only a matter of time before the song would spread among the high priests!

Luckily, Helen remembered this important matter, as Liu Zhenhan had completely forgotten about it.

Another piece of good news was that besides Nedved, who knew the Horse Appraisal Technique, among the three hundred remaining Centaur archers, there were two who were experts. Over the past three days, Nedved nearly wore out his lips and finally managed to tame over a thousand giant ants. Strangely, once these giant ants were subdued by the "Taming Secret Language," just like the Three-legged Golden Toad, they would only eat the feed made of beans and malt wine. Moreover, their temperaments became extremely gentle, which thoroughly infuriated Liu Zhenhan. It seemed these darn ants really considered themselves Thousand-Mile Horses, consuming such high-grade feed.

Inside the ruins of the ancient city, due to Magnetic Mountain and the Forbidden Magic Domain, they couldn’t use the Vajra Magic Teleportation Array, and they naturally didn’t have such fine warhorse feed to provide to the giant ants. Worried that these hard-caught giant ants would die from freezing and starvation, on the third night, Liu Zhenhan had Nedved mount the Three-legged Golden Toad. Relying on the toad’s "metal repellent skin," and under the protection of two hundred jade green air soldiers and the elf prince and magic teacher Tang Ning, they took advantage of the dense nighttime fog to lead these horse-like flying ants out of the ant swarm’s vicinity. They reached an ant-free area about seventy to eighty miles away before they dared to bring out the magic teleportation array. Like thieves, they sent these giant ants back to their jade green homeland.

On the fourth day, the Forbidden Magic Domain still existed.

Since fulfilling their mission to lure the enemy, the Mulan Vulture Air Force had ceased even the basic tasks of reconnaissance and harassment over the past few days, completely ignoring the existence of the Beamons. By noon, another splendid and orderly large army emerged from the direction of the Mulanese camp, with at least twenty units of troops and large quantities of logs, which were piled up like mountains!

By now, the total Mulanese military strength had reached sixty thousand!

As evening approached, the Mulanese began to make their move.

Although many ants had died from the frost and cold fog, the remaining number was still staggering. But the Mulanese had their own brilliant strategies.

As if in the blink of an eye, countless giant anteaters burst into the vast rock desert, "slish-sloshing" with long tongues, overwhelming the air above the ants before dissipating into nothingness.

Such numbers of natural predators had the ants, simple single-celled organisms, explode in panic. They could no longer focus on saving their queen; in a great hurry, two flying ants mated in the air, and as a newly birthed queen dropped her wings and barely touched the ground, she was surrounded and carried back into the sand burrows by a multitude of ants. The ants, which once occupied the whole rock desert, now vanished as cleanly as a receding tide, leaving no bones or remains behind as shifting sands covered the traces of their previous existence.

Liu Zhenhan knew that this just-passed army of anteaters over the desert was nothing but an illusion created with Light Illusion Magic by the Mulan Imams, the same sort of magic as Ning Yu’s Mirage City illusions.

The Mulan "Zeppelin Flyers" also started to mobilize, pouring vast amounts of yellow, murky wastewater over the sandy land, spreading a strong fetid odor all over the rock desert.

The Beamon warriors watched the Mulanese quietly, puzzled by their intentions.

From the vantage point of the bronze observation machine, Liu Zhenhan could see large teams of Mulan engineers beginning to construct suspension bridges over the cracks in the ground. There were more than a dozen narrow segments along the sprawling chasm that were now covered by these broad suspension bridges made of incredibly stout wood.

"Obischillaci!" Liu Zhenhan smacked his lips.

"Your Highness, what should we do?" Prince Kahn was a little anxious. "Judging by that magic they just used, to sustain such a vast number of illusions, they must have a significant number of Imam mages. According to the intelligence from prisoners, only those above the Monastic Imam level can unravel the secrets of the flame, and by Union Level, that is on par with a Magic Teacher!"
