Chapter 1149: Chapter 307: Demonic Arrow Reinforcements_4

"Your Highness Richard, you must not underestimate me!" The young Elven prince indignantly said, "I am a High Elf with the blood of both the Diamond family and the Elven royal family! Bow and arrow are practically parts of my body! Archery runs naturally in my blood! A Divine Archer of the Moon Blade level cannot be considered a Blade Shooter without the Magic Hornbow, but now that I have this ’Kiss of Eruni’, of course I am a Blade Shooter!"

"Indeed, heroes emerge from the youth!" Liu was struck with a sense of the vividness of youth passing by; he scrutinized a moon blade that was as smooth and bright as a mirror, unable to stop marveling. The blade’s edge was delicately carved with vine patterns, with the circular center engraved with the emblems of Xiang Pa, a crown, and a bow and arrow. Even the raised hubs bore triple spiral wave patterns. The sheer number of processes this single moon blade must have gone through in its crafting caused the old rascal to click his tongue in wonder.

Liu was puzzled about how the blade was launched. After some miming, he finally understood—the central circle had raised hubs, which were clearly the parts to hook the string to; no wonder there was a vertical slot hollowed on the limb, it was there to shoot the moon blades.

Hearing Richard speak so senilely about how heroes are young, Helen, Moer, and the two young swans all laughed together. Prince Mari was already twenty years old; there was no ’young hero’ to speak of.

"Excellent! I’ve long heard of the unmatched Variable Line Refraction of Elven archers; this time, I’m looking forward to you showing us a thing or two!" Liu inserted the moon blade back into his black turtle-hide belt and smiled at Golinny, "Lily, aren’t you going to tell Master Qi Dan immediately? Tell him you’re moving over here to my place."

"I don’t need to report to him! He’s just a Vassal Clan of our Smey!" Golinny huffed dismissively, "Do I need to inform him wherever I decide to go?"

"He is, after all, a Gold Robe High Priest, you should give some respect," Liu cajoled and hustled the young beauty and her brothers out the door, "Go on now! Just say I said so!"

After sending them off and returning to his tent, Liu was greeted by Helen and Moer, who looked at him with smirks that were not entirely friendly.

"What’s up?" Liu began to feign ignorance.

"Since when did you get cozy with this girl? It seems too fast, isn’t it?" Moer sat down huffily and gave Guoguo’s little behind a hard pinch, causing the toddler’s eyes to roll back as she promptly fainted.

"What are you saying?" Liu struck a pose of utmost coolness before quickly putting on an ingratiating smile, "Can you speak a bit more clearly?"

"Just now, Prince Kahn mentioned that you got married at Yale Oasis? Could it be with this young lady?" Helen spoke with heartache, "Richard, aren’t you being a bit reckless? How long have you known this girl? It might be one thing with Gortani, but with her..."

"Look at the little minx; her eyes are pasted to you like glue, she’s nearly stuck to your side! Don’t think I can’t see it! Anyone with eyes can tell!" Moer said more and more angrily, giving Guoguo another fierce pinch on her behind, prompting the child to snap open her eyes, wiggle free from Moer’s embrace, and hop into Liu’s arms, rubbing her little bottom and making faces at Moer.

Liu could see there was no escaping, so he grimly recounted what had happened.

Hearing that Richard had been shot in the groin by an Undead Mage’s bolt while trying to capture him to learn about soul transfer knowledge related to Avril, and got himself wounded instead, Helen and Moer almost swooned.

In the end, the old rogue solemnly thumped his chest to attest to his innocence, saying if they doubted him, they could have a look at the "Vermilion Blood" on Golinny’s arm while bathing in the evening.

"We believe you," Helen and Moer said tearfully, "Show us your wound quickly, by the War God above, could that bolt have been cursed by the Goddess Banshbara herself?"

"Maybe Moer shouldn’t look..." Liu said, a tad embarrassed.

"Don’t forget it’s daytime!" Moer snorted disdainfully. "Avril is standing in front of you, while that young girl Moer is asleep!"

"Isn’t that inappropriate? Moer is, after all, my apprentice..." Liu acted bashfully like a sweet, innocent young man.

"Have you forgotten who you are? The direct line successor of the priesthood..." Helen said, sultrily running a hand over Liu’s face.

After hearing that, Liu was utterly speechless.

Sorry for being 16 minutes late... hehe...

The four new options at the top of the review section are actually for laughs; as if I could really take care of old Mu too, that would be too exaggerated...

However, some brothers should not always suggest that I write about Liu becoming independent or something. Independence is a matter of context. If the people are in dire straits, it’s a different story, but right now, what would independence signify? After all, Liu has a military background, doesn’t he maintain even a bit of consciousness of defending national sovereignty? So, don’t get your hopes up...
