Chapter 1117: Chapter 295: No Meeting Without Some Common Ground

The battle tactics of the Antelope Warriors were incredibly straightforward. Facing the Desert Dwarfs who tumbled toward them, they dropped their metal totem poles in front of their feet. Just as the dwarfs got close enough to swing their war hammers, the warriors would swiftly lift their poles, making an unavoidable clash with a thunderous sound and sparks flying everywhere------------this maneuver required years of training and extraordinary courage. A moment’s delay, and it would be their leg bones, not the totem poles, meeting the dwarfs’ hammers.

This risky-looking move was quite ordinary for the Antelope Warriors, for each of them, like the strongest warriors of the East, the Pantas, belonged to the most flawless type of soldier.

Although the dwarfs’ strength was formidable, they were considerably unmatched compared to the Golden Ring Warriors. The moment the metal totem pole struck and flipped them backward, the Antelope Warriors’ killer move followed----------they twisted their waists and performed a nimble somersault. As their massive bodies hung upside down in the air, the sharp spiraling horns on their heads plunged precisely into the faces of the Dwarf Soldiers. When they landed, the hooked tips of their horns had already gashed open the faces of the dwarfs following the hooks’ curve.

This was the Antelope Warriors’ signature technique---------"Horn Combat"! Such a level of "Horn Combat" was incomparable to the ordinary Tauren of the Buer Tribe who relied on their horns for crude charges.

The Desert Dwarfs faced far more than these formidable nemeses. If the lethal steel blades of the Antelope Warriors pierced their chests, then the twenty Two-Headed Chimaera aerial cavalry gliding from the sky showered their wounds with acidic liquid, adding literal insult to injury at the battlefront.

A few clever Antelope aerial warriors managed to execute the "Aegean Drop," not with the lion paws of the Two-Headed Chimera but with its lion and goat mouths. Snatching up a Desert Dwarf, the Chimera circled over the oasis lake and with a splash, the dwarf was swallowed by the waves--------Dwarfs being a race that traditionally feared water, especially when clad in full armor, such fearless dwarfs were doubtlessly rare worldwide.

The elite royal guards of Nedved didn’t entangle themselves further with these Desert Dwarfs. They cut a bloody path at breakneck speed and charged directly towards the Lord’s position.

Nedved and Xiao Cui, one riding a Three-legged Golden Toad and the other on a black panther named Guan Haifa, found themselves surprisingly at the front of the group. Thanks to the "Metal Repulsion Dermal Armor" of the Golden Toad, the Desert Dwarfs could not inflict any harm on the two archers who watched helplessly as the enhanced Serpent Flame Arrow and Ice-Fire Magic Arrow took their toll, repeatedly targeting their leader Imam, whilst also occasionally getting hit by the Three-legged Golden Toad’s magic golden bullets.

Fat Luo’s twin blades were like the wings of a hawk, the horns of a poison dragon, slashing a path through the densely packed dwarfs with a technique called "Blade Tornado." His partners---------the two hill kings, Bartel and Buckley, authentic dwarfs to the core, exhibited the dwarf mastery "Low Strike" far superior to these Desert Dwarfs. Rolling skillfully on the ground, their gigantic ax-like blades swept through, half of the blocking dwarfs were crushed, the rest were easily chopped down------------regardless of race, the butcher’s blade is always most bloodthirsty and lethal when turned against one’s own.

The leader of the Desert Dwarfs, Kati Bi, died at the hands of the giant Iverson. Enhanced by the Flame Ring and the elemental power of the Wiliow-Iron weapons, this master, who resembled a dwarf from Nedved’s royal guards, fired silvery serene flame-edged sword bullets from his twin sword guns. The first bullet severed Kati Bi’s war hammer, and the second sliced through the Desert Dwarf leader’s neck. His stout armor was as feeble as a piece of butter cake under the chilling blade of his sword, which also summoned five miniature sword spiders, toying with and mutilating the corpse for amusement.

Liu Zhenhan disposed of a dozen Desert Dwarfs in the blink of an eye while the Nedved warriors had already successfully overwhelmed their opponents. The Desert Dwarfs, who had never seen such a potent and restraining combat style, were thrown into disarray without a leader to command them. They helplessly succumbed to being divided, surrounded, and mobbed.

The remaining fifty or so Desert Dwarfs were slowly cornered by a few royal guards, gathering around a Mage clutching a Bone Magic Wand, their eyes filled with despair.

The defeat was not only swift but also brutally harsh; initially, they had been the victors.

Xiao Cui’s Serpent Flame Arrow had already targeted the Mage with the Bone Magic Wand, but Nedved immediately stopped him.

"He is an Undead Mage, and the boss lady, Avril, needs this Mage!" Nedved said.

Liu Zhenhan released ax chests from his Space Ring, and Willow-Iron throwing axes, adorned with brilliant flames, chopped down the Desert Dwarfs one by one. Most accepted their deaths with a perplexed surrender, while a few desperate souls made frenzied counterattacks, only to be promptly felled by sharp magic arrows.

Gazing at the scattered corpses and tainted blood, the Undead Mage that had joined the Desert Dwarfs in the ambush was thoroughly petrified----------without a doubt, having cast two Undead Magic spells, this Mage clutching a Bone Magic Wand was indeed a notorious Undead Mage in the Aegean Continent.
