Chapter 1014: Chapter 254: The Metamorphosis of the Coral Beauty_3
"No problem! I’ll give it to Joan of Arc! I’ll put it in her room to adjust the air temperature," Liu Zhenhan laughed with a smirk, pulling a Tai Chi move.
"The Bamboo Giant Centipede is known for its flashy nature. Its magic isn’t very sharp, but its Plant System Magic includes a lot of feints. At first glance, the barrage of leaves, flowers, vines, and such are overwhelming in numbers, but in reality, only half of them are truly lethal. I can feel the grade of the Origin power without having to inspect closely—there’s no doubt this is a magic-amplifying pearl. However, it only serves as a ’Deception.’ Against a real expert, it probably won’t be much use," Master Puskas chuckled, holding the centipede pearl and glanced at Overlord Piegel.
"I didn’t pay attention to that. When I slaughtered that centipede, it was up close, and Gerein was a sneak attack; took it down in no time," Liu Zhenhan counted on his fingers, "If Moer used ’Water Arrow Barrage,’ and the centipede pearl can multiply the Plant Deception, that’s seventy-two water arrows, doesn’t that mean suddenly there’s a flurry of leaves for cover?"
"That’s correct. But as I mentioned, it’s not very useful against experts, as no Mage would engage you in close combat. Once there’s distance, this kind of Deception isn’t worth much," Master Puskas grinned broadly, nodding continuously, "I’ll name this Bamboo Giant Centipede pearl ’Deception Pearl’ for you temporarily. Don’t take this the wrong way, but when I think about it, it might be quite suitable for a Saint Chiao with subpar magic abilities like yourself. Imagine, this pearl could help you create a bunch of leaves and flowers to cover your magic attacks. It might not do much damage, but sure is irritating."
"Fuck!" Liu Zhenhan snatched the centipede pearl and swung his massive fist at Puskas, "Stop your nonsense! How could I, a mighty Saint Chiao, rely on this thing in battle? Humph! These pearls are all for Qian Qian. That girl has a Pearl Seven-String Zither, able to play ’Tears Ding Dong Chords.’ Damn! That’s a Bay Crocodile warrior’s special power, Crocodile Tears Pattern Arrow! With this pearl to confuse the enemy, a bunch of water arrows shooting out from behind a pile of leaves could take out any obstacle!"
"Not bad at all! Truly impressive! Once the war with the Demon Clan starts, I won’t forget to send a share of the Shepherd-tree People’s ’Spring of Elements’ to Qian Qian and Moer, as long as they can be part of the direct attack, whether they’re Mages or Priests, they’ll get their share!" Saint Chiao reassured with a burst of satisfaction.
"Mourinho also created his own attack-type war songs; don’t forget about him," Liu Zhenhan chuckled coldly.
"Stop bickering with him! It’s pointless," Master Puskas said upon hearing Richard mention Mourinho, feeling as if his head had split into two.
"What’s considered interesting? And what’s pointless? I haven’t got the legendary Li Pearl that can ward off all poisons. What about the ’Bloody Mary’ on Yitiao’s body? We still have to find those Medusa Witch Doctors with poison-eating Gu," Liu Zhenhan snorted, "I’ll have to fight Mourinho regardless. Looks like it’s inevitable."
"Whatever suits you both!" Saint Chiao darkened his face, "I’ve lost interest in meddling with your mess! The two of you fight then! You are both heroes! Both of you are heroes! Obischillaci!"
The old Saint Chiao’s stubborn temper flared up, and without even a goodbye, he swung his sleeves and walked off, ignoring Liu Zhenhan’s shouted apologies.
"Damn it!" Liu Zhenhan was infuriated.
The atmosphere suddenly became oppressively tense, with every Beamon staring at each other, afraid of upsetting their fuming Overlord.
"O’Neal! Within one day tomorrow, bring me another Medusa Witch Doctor!" Liu Zhenhan gritted his teeth and ordered the hippopotamus poet.
"No problem!" O’Neal nodded like a pecking chicken but then frowned, "But what if we don’t catch one with poison-eating Gu? Caiyu City has sent a lot of Priests this time, each with at least two Witch Doctors, some with three. We’ve already made a move once, and they’re on alert. If we catch the wrong one again, we’ll be out of chances!"
"Troublesome..." Liu Zhenhan clenched his teeth, also feeling a headache, "Let’s hold off for now, we’ll talk about it later."
At that moment, Ning Yu quietly tugged at Liu Zhenhan’s sleeve. He turned around, blinking his eyes, "Yu, do you have any good ideas?"
"Something big has happened," Helen said, struggling to swallow a gulp of water.
"Big? What big thing?" Liu Zhenhan scanned around to see all the women staring at him with odd expressions. Joan of Arc and Qian Qian’s flushed faces, and Elder Andulan’s eyebrows were so twisted they looked like fields trampled by a mad bull.
"We’ve seen a ghost," Liu Zhenhan was truly baffled; he scrutinized himself from head to toe.
"Keep this order safe, the racks keep hitting, business as usual!" Liu Zhenhan lost interest in figuring out why everyone was staring and, immune to people’s habit of making a big fuss at him, he picked up the introduction letter written by the Swan High Priest from the table and stuffed it into Elder Andulan’s hands with a hearty laugh.
"Laugh my ass off!" Elder Andulan snapped.
"What’s the matter?" Liu Zhenhan felt wronged. Why was he getting cursed at all day?
Guoguo was hopping around on the ground, buttocks in the air, not sure when a pirate-style red bandana had been tied around her little head, her large ears sticking out, pointing and shouting at something.
What Guoguo was pointing at was indeed a beauty!
With just one glance, Liu Zhenhan tumbled to the ground.
