Chapter 92: The Real Fight Begins!
’Oh, come on! The leader’s still sitting in the car? What kind of coward just waits while his men get slaughtered?’
A soft laugh echoed in his mind before Zoe’s voice followed, ’Focus, sir. They’re making their move now.’
Instantly, Noah tensed—his senses flaring.
He reconnected with his surroundings.
Every time the wind blows or the leaves rustle, or even when the pressure changes, he’s instantly on high alert.
And this time, he knew the real fight was just beginning.
Noah lowered his head, peering beneath the car. He spotted someone strolling toward the left side. The figure was still a few meters away from his vehicle.
He waited. As his awareness tensed, he began to feel something was off.
’Only one person? Where’s the other?’ he wondered, unease creeping into his thoughts.
Before he could process the answer to his growing anxiety, a faint voice echoed through his mind.
’You’re a dead motherfucker for killing my team!’
The voice was seething with fury.
Noah’s eyes widened in shock—it was a girl’s voice. And it wasn’t Zoe’s.
’Why can I hear someone else?’ Panic sparked in his chest as he reached out mentally. ’Zoe, did you change your voice? Why the hell are you cursing me?’
’Sir,’ Zoe replied calmly, ’did you forget? You’ve unlocked the ability to read minds—only when your target is within two meters.’
The realization hit him hard.
’Then why didn’t I hear anything earlier?’ He recalled killing the others in total silence.
’Maybe,’ Zoe answered, ’because you weren’t this tense before...’
Goosebumps raced up Noah’s arms. His instincts screamed—she was close.
Very close.
But he still didn’t see her feet anywhere near the car.
’Oh, shit—’
He looked up.
And there she was.
A short, red-haired woman stood on top of his car, her gun aimed straight at his temple. Her eyes burned with revenge, and the murderous intent radiating from her was overwhelming.
"I got you, motherfucker—" she snarled.
The gun went off.
But Noah wasn’t an ordinary human.
The moment her finger twitched, he saw the bullet. Slow. Predictable. To him, it moved like it was swimming through syrup.
He tilted his head effortlessly and fired back.
His shot didn’t kill.
It hit her hand, blasting the gun from her grip. She screamed, pain erupting from her mouth and shattering the fragile silence that had returned to the forest.
Her petite frame slipped.
Another shot—this time to her knee—sent her crashing to the ground with a hard thud.
She wouldn’t be moving again anytime soon.
Noah didn’t check on her yet. He knew the fight wasn’t over. His focus snapped to the final target.
The last man appeared, emerging from Noah’s left.
Without hesitation, Noah raised his gun and pulled the trigger.
The bullet struck the man square in the temple.
His powerful body collapsed to the ground a few meters away, lifeless. Still.
And just like that, another notification popped up in his line of sight as the Ultimate Revenge update appeared.

Noah didn’t waste time checking his system.
Instead, he rose swiftly to his feet and made his way to the red-haired woman, the gangster leader.
To his surprise, she was crawling toward her gun.
If he had checked on her a few seconds later, she might have gotten her hands on it.
He was genuinely astonished by her resilience. Despite the blood gushing from both her hand and leg, she crawled silently, dragging herself forward with sheer grit, without uttering a single sound of pain.
"You can forget whatever you’re thinking," Noah said calmly as he walked over to her gun. He kicked it away with a light motion, earning a sharp, furious glare from her.
A low growl escaped the woman’s lips, but Noah only smirked in response, meeting her bloodshot eyes with a calm gaze.
"Who sent you to kill me?" he asked, unbothered by her fury.
Rather than answering, the woman spat a mouthful of blood toward his feet.
It was clear—she had no intention of cooperating.
"Looks like you’ve chosen to follow the same path as your other teammates," he said coldly, a razor-edged smile forming on his lips as he focused in, attempting to read her mind.
At this point, it didn’t matter whether she answered him or not—he had already gained the ability to extract the truth without her consent.
"Fine then," he continued, his voice darkening. "If you won’t tell me who paid you, I’ll end your pain..."
As he raised his gun and aimed it at her temple, a chilling grin spread across his face.
In that exact moment, he heard it; The name. Buried deep in her thoughts. The name of the one who had hired her was his own uncle, Jared Morgan.
"You just lost my forgiveness," Noah whispered.
The woman, now seated, glared up at him, her hatred burning despite the blood loss.
But when she heard the click of the gun locking in place, the rage in her eyes faltered, replaced by something else.
Fear.
Her lips parted slightly. "I’ll tell—"
Her voice cut off.
Her body froze, then slumped forward.
Dead. Lifeless.
...
Noah stood still for a moment, eyes steady on the corpse.
’Congratulations, sir, you’ve taken care of everyone,’ Zoe’s voice echoed softly in his mind.
A wave of relief enveloped him. He opened his system to confirm what he already knew—the woman was dead.
’Thanks, Zoe. Oh, right... can you call Seven and his team to clean up this mess?’
