Chapter 94: Chapter 71: Welcome to the World of Mist! - Part 3

His vision blurred, his old eyes dim, the clear azure in his pupils had long turned muddy.

He could almost smell the decay of this body.

It was then he realized...

It seemed...

He was about to die.

The once abundant life now seemed like a fragile candle in the wind, flickering and trembling, ready to extinguish at any moment.

"Do I still have a chance?"

Ronan murmured softly, his voice rough and hoarse, his saliva dry.

Perhaps...

He tremblingly took out another bottle of God Burning Potion from his waist pouch.

The last bottle.

This one would be enough.

This God Burning Potion was different from the ordinary ones; it had a deeper red color with a mysterious hint of purple flowing through it.

"With your talents, you’ll need this."

A face of a man, neither handsome nor ugly, appeared in Ronan’s mind, wearing a meaningful and devilishly charming smile.

"Angelie.."

Ronan softly murmured the name, his emotions stirred.

Soon, he returned to calmness, using the last of his strength to twist open the Potion bottle cap... and drank it all.

...

"How many days has it been?"

Doby stood at the windowsill, pushing aside the thick ivy vines, curiously looking next door.

The small dormitory, from the outside, seemed deathly quiet, as if no one lived there.

"Three days now, why hasn’t there been any movement?"

"Could he really be dead..."

Doby held a small piece of paper with three or four names scribbled on it, mumbling softly.

It was rare but not unheard of for Level 9 Apprentices to die from failing to advance to Official Wizard status at the academy.

If it happened to the person next door, it would seem reasonable.

Doby had inquired previously; the next-door neighbor was a Wandering Wizard who was recruited to the academy for meritorious deeds during a mission.

So, although he was an Apprentice Level 9, he was still unfamiliar with many common knowledge aspects of the Wizard World.

It was said that when the Wandering Grey Robe went to choose a mentor after his Qi Hua, not a single mentor wanted to take him under their wing...

God, how poor could his talents be.

Doby thought critically and glanced once more towards the next-door hut, then thought for a moment and crumpled the paper with names and tossed it into a nearby trash can.

Just as Doby completed this action, relaxed, and was ready to turn away from the window...

"Boom!"

A massive yet invisible burst of spiritual power suddenly erupted from outside the window, spreading inward, causing the white curtains on both sides of the windowsill to whip up fiercely.

Doby quickly looked outside in alarm.

In a moment, he thought he saw a white "Sun" slowly rising from the small building next door, its brilliant light dazzling and harsh, carrying the majestic and noble demeanor...

"This..."

Doby stared blankly at the sudden appearance of the "Sun", feeling its imposing presence, his eyes shocked and incredulous.

"Did he really break through?!"

The next second, as if suddenly remembering something, he quickly turned and lunged desperately toward the trash can...

...

"..I recently found that using the nectar of Night Shadow Flower and Moonlight Grass Seeds together can extend the duration of the Invisibility Potion..."

"Please, why are you still researching this stuff, weren’t you warned by the old lady once before?"

"No one can stop my great Magic Potion invention, not even the Pharmacy studies mentor.."

On the small path in the academy dormitory area, two young wizards in Apprentice Magic Robes were chatting and walking.

As one of them was animatedly gesticulating, suddenly...

A vast and powerful presence erupted from a little house next to them!

The two immediately ceased their conversation and instinctively looked to the side, then simultaneously covered their eyes with their hands.

In their view, the small house was emitting a blinding and burning light, as if a small "Sun" was rising from within.

A look of shock crossed both of their faces, quickly turning to deep envy.

"Ah, another Apprentice has successfully advanced to an Official Wizard."

"So, Elvin... give up those boring studies of yours earlier."

As the presence and light from the small house spread further and further, more passersby felt it and stopped in their tracks, and even those further away caught this leaking presence.

Many exclaimed in amazement, their faces showing envy and joy.

They understood, from now on, Hoddam Academy had gained another figure at the Official Wizard Level.

...

In the small room, the violent airflow swirled like a vortex, causing the furniture to rattle loudly.

At the center of this vortex quietly stood a figure.

Under the fluttering long Magic Robe was a very lean and tall body, and above that, snow-white long hair danced with the robe.

"I’ve broken through.."

Ronan stood quietly at the center of the room, feeling the changes inside and out.

"Whirl-whirl—"

The windowsill filled with the flapping sounds of wings.

Countless owls flew in carrying envelopes.

One bold owl darted up to Ronan, almost ingratiatingly placing a beautifully framed gold-threaded card in his hand.

Ronan opened it, seeing just one line written—

[Welcome to the world of Mist!]
