Chapter 197: Chapter 112: Not Enough, Nono Pelin (Requesting Guaranteed Monthly Ticket)_3
After speaking, Ronan left without giving Nono Pelin another glance.
Still maintaining his outstretched hand gesture, Nono Pelin’s sincere and hopeful smile solidified on his face.
He watched Ronan’s fading figure, his smile gradually receding and his eyes growing darker by the moment.
Standing in the shadow of a round metal building with a pointed top, there was no longer any light around him; he seemed to completely merge with the shadows.
It’s hard to say how much time passed.
Expressionless, Nono Pelin stepped out of the shadows, resuming his bright and dazzling appearance.
He walked in a certain direction. In the distance, a duel was still ongoing at the Battle Square, but he bypassed that bustling area and headed towards a quiet, deserted area.
This place was the very bottom of the Seventh Magic Ring’s Silver-white Tower, from where one could clearly see the square-shaped tower body flashing with countless Rune Formations.
A serene blue light filled this area, touching every inch of land with the Mysterious essence of runes.
Upon entering, even one’s spiritual power felt much livelier.
Nono Pelin closed his eyes and greedily inhaled the air of this region.
He didn’t approach the Silver-white Tower but walked towards the ten grey-white towers standing next to the Giant Silver Tower, arranged in a circular pattern.
Each tower had a huge, operational blue Light Ball Array floating at its top, and the surrounding blue light emanated from these Light Balls.
Nono Pelin’s gaze lingered on each of the grey-white towers, revealing a thick mixture of jealousy and desire in his eyes.
He slowly moved past several towers, finally stopping in front of the sixth tower.
Approaching closer.
A raspy, low voice soon sounded.
"How did it go? Did your plan work?"
The voice came from the top of the grey-white tower; Nono Pelin squinted, barely able to see the towering figure of a man in short clothes, looking down from above.
He shook his head, responding, "That kid’s Talent is stronger than Benny’s, and he is much smarter than Benny... I couldn’t deceive him."
"Even you, Nono Pelin, found someone you couldn’t deceive..."
A cold laugh, either a sigh or a sneer, came from the top of the tower.
Nono Pelin remained unfazed, saying lightly, "What do you plan to do now? Deal with him personally?"
"You must be insane," the raspy voice from atop grew colder, "You expect me to stand atop the tower and challenge someone below?"
"So, you just wait for him to challenge you?"
Nono Pelin frowned, "He’s only Level 1; he wouldn’t make such a foolish decision. By the day he dares to challenge you, he will definitely be tough to handle... Don’t forget the initial Benny!"
"So now you are the best candidate," the silhouette atop the tower spoke lightly.
"Impossible."
Nono Pelin shook his head directly, "I have no reason to antagonize him, and I’m not confident I could incapacitate him in a duel... His Strength is truly not weak, with Dual Magic Domains Stacking, and he even has a control over an extraordinarily effective and bizarre type of Extraordinary Magic Domain Power that can easily tear through Magic Domain Force Fields, I..."
"Not even that much confidence, you’re only fit to forever cower outside the high tower!"
The silhouette atop replied bluntly, "If your betrayal of Benny is exposed, do you think you can escape his vengeance?"
Nono Pelin’s face turned ugly, his gaze flickering uncertainly.
At that moment, suddenly, a red Light Ball descended from the top of the tower, heading straight towards Nono Pelin.
Nono instinctively caught it and examined the object in his hands, his face immediately showing intense excitement and surprise.
He looked up sharply at the top of the tower, "This..."
"This was obtained from a Genius Wizard at Melt Crystal Lake, its attribute fits you quite well, doesn’t it. In the second round, find that boy, ’accidentally’ incapacitate him, and I promise to lend it to you until the end of this selection... If you’re willing to bear the consequences of accidental killing, I might even consider giving it to you..."
Nono Pelin gripped the red object tightly in his hand, his expression rapidly changing as he shifted his gaze between several grey-white towers before him.
Eventually, without a word, he clutched the red object and hurriedly turned and left.
High atop the tower, a tall young man with long hair over his shoulders and a scar running from his brow to his mouth like a centipede stood calmly. The invisible force field around him turned slowly, like a giant grinding wheel, continuously crackling with dark brown sparkles, emitting a terrifying presence.
The young man narrowed his eyes watching Nono Pelin’s retreating figure, his eyes coldly surging.
"Benny... don’t think you can come ’back to life’ in any form in front of my eyes."
