Chapter 179: Chapter 106: Teleportation Array, Tearing Lady Luck’s Skirt!
"Cold Ice Armor!"
"Frost Spear!"
Defensively and offensively, Ronan quickly summoned and threw out two spells in the direction of the incoming transparent figure.
As First Rank Ice Magic used to construct anchor points for the "Despair Domain", they were all cultivated to Master Level by him. Even when cast alone, they were quite formidable, sending out intense magical fluctuations.
The frost-wrapped Ice Crystal Spear materialized in the blink of an eye, then whooshed out, leaving behind a visible white trail to the naked eye.
"Boom!"
The Master Level Frost Spear was intercepted midway by the swiftly moving transparent figure, bursting into a shower of ice fragments.
Ronan’s gaze sharpened slightly. The strength of this transparent figure was stronger than he had anticipated.
He didn’t hesitate any further, turning abruptly toward the direction of the white chairs and tables and charging.
Powerful physical strength surged, muscles in his legs exploded with force, and with a "boom", Ronan was propelled forward.
But he had only dashed a short distance before colliding head-on with something.
"Crack—"
That sensation of spatial disorientation returned, the air in front of him twisted slightly, and the scenery before Ronan’s eyes blurred. Suddenly, he found himself almost back where he started.
No, even further back than before, and the transparent figure that had been rushing at him with extreme speed was now almost within reach, about to collide with Ronan in the next second.
A sudden sense of alarm flooded Ronan’s mind, his brow feeling as though it was being pressed against by an extremely sharp blade, with a horrifying premonition of being split in half in the next moment.
In his vision, the speed of the transparent figure was fast enough that his eyes could only barely catch a hint of the ripples in the air. The "Cold Ice Armor" Ronan had summoned earlier didn’t offer the slightest resistance before shattering completely.
In an instant, Ronan entered the "Pure Body" state, and the Frozen Soil Seal within his Consciousness Space flickered urgently twice, with endless cold and deep blue Northern Lights emanating from his body...
"Despair Ice Seal!"
"Boom!"
Under the sudden eruption of extreme cold and snow, a swiftly moving white blur became visible in the air, its speed seemingly slowed a fraction.
Ronan’s body was bathed in a fiery white glow, his Silver Mist Dual Swords wrapped in Flame of Break Magic, his eyes blue as stars capturing the precise location. Underneath his magic robe, the muscles on his symmetrical arms rose and fell like mercury, unleashing the vast physical power... The dual swords crossed in a horizontal slash!
"Clang!"
As Ronan’s sword struck, it was like hitting something extremely hard, the recoil instantly numbing his hands.
His pupils then contracted as he helplessly watched the middle section of his Silver Mist Dual Swords, made of Second-tier Magic Nightmare Tungsten Steel and reinforced with Silverization Runes, be cleanly severed in two as if cut through rapidly by something.
He used his weapons to strike the enemy... and the one getting cut turned out to be his own weapons?!
How sturdy and sharp must the opponent’s body be to accomplish this?
Ronan found it inconceivable. The severed Demon Nightmare Dual Swords liquefied and retracted up his arms. Instinctively, he made an evasive maneuver.
"Swish—"
A transparent distortion flashed by, silently cutting a piece from the fluttering hem of his robe, which then dispersed into the tiniest of specks on the lush green grass.
Ronan took a cool breath, his eyes flashing with profound emotion.
So far, this might be the most powerful and dangerous opponent he had faced. Even with all his strength unleashed, he was nearly unable to contend with the foe head-on.
He quickly picked a direction to run. Under the influence of the Despair Domain, traces of cold energy flowing in the air became unusually chaotic.
Ronan narrowed his eyes, noticing faint glimmers of light flitting through the air like currents of electricity.
Again, that spine-chilling premonition struck him like a blade at his back.
Ronan pursed his lips and, in a swift decision, flung a swath of metallic silver beads in all directions, detonating them with "High Energy Crucible" to outline Rune Formations... which then quickly faded and vanished.
"So that’s how it is!"
Ronan’s eyes lit up, unable to enjoy the excitement of unraveling the "mystery". He stomped hard on the ground, dashing straight toward a remembered location of a Rune Formation.
"Swish—"
The returning transparent figure grazed by his back, leaving a clear cutting mark in the air...
"Bang!"
Ronan landed, his first instinct to confirm his own position.
A vibrant apple tree quietly stood beside him, golden sunlight filtering through the gaps in the branches, casting fragmented patches of light on his face.
"Even farther..."
Ronan glanced at the position of the white table and the vine chairs with a solemn expression, pondering how to approach the target location, and what kind of pattern might exist between these Space Transmission Arrays...
The sense of crisis surged once again as the transparent figure bore down on him.
"Forget it."
Ronan bit down on his teeth and made a quick decision, "I might as well try my luck."
He casually flung a large number of silver metallic beads, releasing "High Energy Crucible" to trigger the metal explosions. After outlining the Rune Formation traces, he bumped into a random array’s position.
"Swish—"
Ronan’s figure shifted again, this time appearing right in front of the lawn where Ponytail Witch’s team had originally picked up the Mirror Magic Tool.
