Chapter 100: Chapter 73 Annihilation_3

"I’ve been foolish!"

Ronan suddenly realized that at all times, his body was naturally emitting powerful spiritual power fluctuations.

It was as if a shark had suddenly burst into a school of sardines; there’s no way he could stay hidden.

His eyes flickered, and Ronan quickly pulled out a magic tool resembling a broken mirror from his waist storage bag, casually reflecting it onto a Level 4 wandering wizard nearby, reprinted the other’s strength.

The aura of an official wizard level expert was quickly concealed by the effect of the magic tool, and this time the situation improved significantly. Ronan darted into the crowd in a few steps, quickly blending in.

"Sigh—"

A frantic figure rushed over the heads of the fleeing crowd, sweeping up a powerful aura that made the people below look up.

"It’s an official wizard from the academy..."

Ronan, mingled in the crowd, watched the figure quickly disappear into the sky, his eyes slightly relaxed.

Seeing that not only he, an academic wizard, was fleeing, he felt reassured.

But before Ronan could relax for long, another figure emanating the aura of an official wizard level quickly swept across the sky.

This figure carried a thick scent of blood as it passed and casually threw something resembling a blood orb down toward the crowd below.

The magic exploded amidst the dense crowd, bursting out screams of horror.

The latter, seeing the carnage below, laughed heartily as he moved on.

"It’s the attacking black robed ones!"

Ronan clenched his teeth gently.

This latter black robe was clearly after the academic wizard who had fled earlier.

It seemed that being caught in the maelstrom, completely escaping from the battle group would not be an easy feat.

Luckily, he had just been promoted to Level 1, and his decision to escape was timely and decisive, otherwise he might have been targeted too...

Thinking this, Ronan with a cold face sped through the crowd and quickly left the town. He picked a relatively less populated direction on the field, where numerous dots scattered like ants from a broken nest, and ran forward at full speed.

After reaching the complete proficiency of expert level ascetic body refinement, he might look significantly older on the outside, but his physique was still powerful, even surpassing that of before.

His lean body worked like a high-precision complex machine, propelling him forward at an astonishing speed, kicking up a long trail of mud waves across the open field. To the uninformed, it might seem like he was employing some Earth element magic.

As he ran, Ronan felt more and more the strong vitality contained within his body, that was eager to break free yet locked up by something, unable to fully unleash.

Ronan ran to the edge of the wilderness, entered the forest, and continued for a while until he felt completely out of danger, then he stopped.

He stood at a spacious and elevated position, looking in the direction from which he had come.

Ronan saw that the sky above Hoddam Academy was now covered with a large thick cloud of blood, seemingly bigger than before, with lightning-like blood lights constantly falling from it.

The dark green associated with the Dean of Hoddam Academy was almost impossible to see.

It was evident that in this higher-level wizard expert battle, the attacking black robed wizard clearly had the upper hand.

Ronan felt a heavy heart, not out of concern for the academy, but rather at a loss as to where to go next.

If he had already obtained the inheritance of the first rank magic and the soul seal, it wouldn’t matter if he left now.

But it seemed that Goddess of Destiny liked to toy with him, choosing precisely this moment for disaster to strike, even if it could have been delayed by just a few more days.

Grace under the blue roof, such a kind and warmhearted girl...

Ronan felt tangled. He withdrew his gaze from the academy.

He walked aimlessly into the forest, pondering where to stay for a while.

Somewhere safe, yet convenient to keep informed about the situation at the academy...

Suddenly, Ronan’s steps halted.

The wind blew through the forest, rustling the leaves.

Ronan slowly looked up to see, a dozen meters ahead of him, a young man in a black robe, holding a short staff, silently floating midair, observing Ronan from a higher position with interest.

"So, even though I’ve been careful enough...

I’ve still been targeted, haven’t I?"

Ronan murmured to himself, a few stray white hairs at his temples lifted by the wind, his complexion gradually returning to calm.
