Chapter 372: The Countess

"Are you one of them?"

What the fuck is her voice? It was soft and tender a complete contrast to the cold look she has on, it completed her outlook, her petty figure that felt like I could easily break with just a single hold.

Everything about this woman looks impossible... Vampires are meant to be deadly along with their nature and yet this woman before me looked like a temptress in the night.

"Right... even a beast doesn’t have words..." she adds, she sounded angry. "Get out!"

What happened next made me rethink the situation, glasses on the floor were raised as if by her command, and then it hit me that there was no way mere glass would have killed my Rogues.

I got the answer to my question when I noticed the supposed levitating broken glasses enclosed in red.

Is she using her blood?

Here I was admiring a beauty forgetting the reason why I was here and the next thing I knew was the force of the glass thrust my body until I collided with the wall hard stapled on it. The force wasn’t just from the glass she conjured to me, but with a mixture of her blood. It turned into a force to be reckoned with.

I have never seen such a thing before nor have I experienced getting my ass whooped for a second, I didn’t know vampires could do weird shits like this, they are known only by their super strength, enhanced senses, and their thirst for blood, but this before me contradict everything I knew.

What the fuck is she?

Her blood ran into me, and it was cold, too cold that it was taking over my body heat, now I know why those three died, the cold must have been too much for them to withstand, broke into their bloodstream, and numbed them to death.

An interesting yet terrifying way to die. Fuck, I feel like my body will melt, what is this? Her blood is too damn cold!

As if sensing her victory she was already backing away.

If she thinks this is enough to kill me then she must be dumb. With a sharp growl, I freed myself from the wall I was pinned to and my entire body phased as the glasses were pulled out of my body by the force. My wounds closed up instantly.

I heard her gasp and a look of surprise took over her features.

"Y-You should be dead"

Hate to disappoint, I only bellowed in response and it shook the entire building, and yet this vampire stood before me having no intention to run, her look was one of surprise because I broke free, but suddenly it turned into determination.

I have never seen a vampire as stupid as this, standing before me like she was gonna come at me again, my aura should be choking the life out of her. She’s definitely a royal because royal vampires are stubborn bastards.

I took a step forward and she assailed me again, I used my claws to destroy every glass that was sent to me and I kept coming, but she didn’t stop, she was ready and committed to keeping me down and I don’t have it in me to back down either.

She instantly stopped when she realized her little attacks weren’t doing a thing and a pleasant growl found me. I wanted her to be afraid and she was close to that.

She smiled, she fucking smiled not the faintest fear and it caught me off guard. With that same sadistic smirk on her lips, she raised her wrist and I noticed it was slit maybe by her, her blood was evaporating from it, my guess was how she controlled the glasses with it.

But I can’t think right now, even though I knew she was on the verge of attacking me, I can’t help but be amazed as her blood warped around her.

Is she doing magic?

She stretched her hand in my direction and her blood was shaped like the glass itself but purely made of her crimson blood, beaming the brightest red.

Royals should have black blood, so what the fuck is she?

She said an alien language and the rest was blank... one minute I was close to getting to her and the next I found my body being blown away by her blood, luckily it didn’t get to my chest but it still hurts like hell, like silver was passing through my skin, it was too cold.

But my heat has always been the hottest, I could easily burn through this.

I heard her movement... she was running...

Getting back on my two feet and rolling my back, I roared and dashed after her. She’s fast but I was faster, I caught up to her in no instant and pinned her down.

"Let me go!" She screamed at my face trying to move, but it was no use my grip on her wrist was far too strong for her, but that didn’t mean she stopped screaming at my face like a child.

She yelled all the curses that came to her mind and it was never ending.

I am forced to roll my eyes now, I won’t get anywhere in this form. Maybe I might die from her aggressive curses... so I reverted, my dark fur retreating and shedding off and my animalistic features reshaping to human structure, my bones snapping back in place as the shift took over.

It was suddenly quiet and by the time my shift was over I stared down at her with my dark golden eyes.

"Now you’re fucking quiet"

I was beginning to think she would curse me to death.

Her lips parted as she stared at me with wide eyes, like in a state of shock, I tilted my head to the side observing her with a raised eyebrow, her eyes gave a sense of intimacy, like she wanted to believe it was me and at the same time not.

Weird.

"D-Dace?"

My blood ran cold... my name, she said my name, I have been called by my name many times, and yet right now it felt like I was brought into a new connotation the moment she mouths my name in that voice of hers.

"You know me... good," I remarked, but I didn’t expect her to say my name with such intimacy. "Seems your Count has done the liberty of introducing me already" I added, grabbing her neck and she gasped.

Fuck! Why does this shit turn me on? With her soft green eyes on mine and her lips parted it was like she was offering herself in the most insane way possible.

"Tell me..." I began, pissed and with clenched teeth. "Are you the Countess?"

A nod only, she couldn’t speak but that was all I needed as I sank my teeth into her shoulders.
