BLOOD LEGACIES -
Chapter 371: Raid
Chapter 371: Raid
It’s a full moon, which only makes everything perfect... the odds were in our favor and everything was falling into place, no one can stand in the way of a full swing of Rogues attacking from all angles. I trained them to be better than they ever were... and their connection with me runs deeper than any bond. At my will they will attack and kill without any mercy, they are my alter ego and I don’t even need to lift a finger to get the work done.
"You’re awfully quiet, Singe," I said, smoking the third cigarette since the raid began. I kept my stern eyes on the chaos arising in the mansion. It was well hidden, to be honest, but nothing technology couldn’t find. Humans evolve too just like we do but in a different way.
"It’s too easy," he replied and I grinned.
"Yes, it is..."
"Do you think this is a trap?"
"Nah," I said, flicking the last remaining cigarette on the ground, before cracking my neck.
"Then why is it too easy?"
"Do you still doubt the strength of the Pride?"
A faint smile flashed on his lips. "I don’t... just when you’re too powerful everything becomes too boring"
"This is why I like you Singe, we think the same"
"What happens when we destroy the vampire society?"
I shrugged. "Peace?" Even though I said the word it sounded foreign to me, it gave a bitter taste to my mouth, I don’t think I can ever find peace, that thing is too far reach for me, a sensation that has been with me for years. My wild blood, my violent nature... all I know and feel is chaos, I want to drown everything I touch in darkness and I was just getting started.
Maybe I will start with the witch clan when I’m done with the vampires, they have been getting on my nerves lately.
"Alpha!"
I darted my eyes to Singe, his eyes were flashing between his normal gray ones and gold, which could only mean a mindlink.
"Well, what is it?"
"The others can’t make it through the first floor... about three that went in haven’t made contact?"
"A royal?"
"There is no royal"
I smirked. "Then it’s this Countess"
"I don’t think-"
"Tell everyone to pull out, I will handle the rest," I said, already taking off my jacket and shirt.
"Yes Alpha"
Maybe this Countess wasn’t just a statue of treasure after all... able to take down three rogues? Rogues are known to be more violent and vicious than a regular werelion, regular vampires don’t stand a chance. This Countess is something...
As I walked towards the entrance I shifted, the terrifying sound of bone snapping as my height increased and my animalistic nature came forth, I felt my body assembling more heat and vapor emitting off me, I shook my head like I had something on it but it was just my lion taking over, I heard my bones splintering and reshaping, and I felt myself accumulating more heat and hairs growing in all parts of my body, my face taking the elongated shape of a lion.
My dark fur came forth covering my entire body, my feet were no longer feet but paws with sharp silver nails and my legs were not the normal straight form, it was reshaped like a lion, and my calf sticking out. My mane came forth and covered my hair, and I felt my saber tooth drop, knowing the transformation was finalized I stood like the pride creature I was, all hairy with a lion appearance and my whispers sticking out, my tail wagging back and forth behind me. Standing like a beast ready to bring wrath.
I march into the building all in tatters, blood on the floor, windows, door and everything in place destroyed. My dark golden eyes trailed to the top floor, I went on all fours and lounged up the stairs at speed, and it didn’t even take me a minute. I was on the top floor and I stood on my two feet, analyzing the area.
My rogues didn’t get past here and the ones who did haven’t come out.
Interesting...
Having that thought in mind I walked toward the remaining stairs and stepped into the top floor. It was cold and dark and the only source of light was the moonlight from the windows, windows that were broken and the glass was scattered on the floor. Judging from the way it cracked I knew my rogues didn’t do this, then who did?
I heard footsteps, making my eyes dart to it, the soft sound of tap tap. The assumed three rogues that came to this top floor, lay on the floor dead in the pool of their own blood, with glass sticking out their skin.
They are dead.
The approaching footsteps got closer and closer until it stopped, Bare small feet on the pool of blood, and my eyes trailed up.... exposed slender legs with what appeared to be a nightgown stopping mid-thighs, they barely covered anything, there was a nightgown robe but it was left open, leaving everything to the eye, transparent with nipples peeking out at the thin material.
I didn’t let my eyes linger as my dark golden eyes fell on her features... She has long strawberry blond hair kept in curls. Her face was directed to the window like she was watching the moonlight, her face with stains of blood, a weird contrast to her pale skin.
My normal primal instinct was to attack but the moment the harsh wind came from the window I paused, because it came strongly, a scent unlike any other thing I have ever sniffed in my life hit my nose and my body went numb.
That was when she turned to me and settled her cold green eyes on me, a hint of red swirled within them like little stars and it got me intrigued, I have never seen such eyes, holding two colors yet alone a mixture, it felt like I was sunk into tranquility and brought back into a storm. It was hard to explain but it was as if one look from her was enough to make my heart stop and yet beat again.
"Are you one of them?"
