BLOOD LEGACIES
Chapter 364: True Origin {2}

Chapter 364: True Origin {2}

"Rumors spread about this... within the vampire society about a bloodline that was not recognized," Luther said, uncrossing his leg from the other and leaning forward, allowing his arms to rest above his kneecap. "But I wasn’t sure of it not until I met your sister months ago, I dug further and it all came to light, that said bloodline was half vampire half witch blood" he rose from his seat and walked to me.

My mind pondered everything revealed to me, It was hard to believe... too hard and I felt like my head was playing tricks on me but I knew in my heart he spoke the truth, but I didn’t want to believe it. What is real? What is false? I don’t know anything about my father upon joining the Adams, my own foster father rejected me when he found out I wasn’t his real son.

All those years of love and smiles were given to a ghost and upon finding out the truth the white mask dropped on me and I knew where I stood.

I didn’t want anything to do with the Adams or Yeagers after that experience, I wanted to be isolated knowing my entire life had been a lie. But it was Emma who pulled me out of that darkness, she was the light that came to me, She kept trying to connect to me and before I knew it I was welcomed into the home of the Adams, got to know my real mom even though it was hard, but it came just as simple because one smile from her eased me.

She stopped her celebrity job just to be closer to us, and I found out I had an aunt who was weird just as Emma says... All these, all these memories built in the span of a few months felt like a lifetime and it all came to be when I met Emma.

I awoke from a dream when she walked into my world... a world I knew only of blood and weapons, monsters and hunting, I got to experience what it means to be an actual teenager.

I felt a cold liquid stream down my cheek and I turned to Emma’s cold body on the bed, sniffing. Seeing her like this... in this state, in that darkness, it made my heart ache. It must have hurt right, Emma? Someone you love taking your life, I could only imagine the torment she has to go through. It must have hurt knowing you caused something you would have stopped, unable to protect your relationship and the one you love losing his sanity to the point of no return.

It must have been hell...

"The vampire nature that lies in a hybrid can only be awakened by death"

I looked over at Luther now standing in front of me but he had his eyes on Emma. "But only by the blood of a Royal" he adds.

I flinched, Emma wasn’t completely dead, I could sense it now, she’s fighting, in a nightmare, cold, lost and broken. In that darkness the last thought is the man you love taking your life... It must be painful, right Emma? Or have you found peace? Do you feel at ease now that you don’t have to weigh the world on your shoulders? I have observed you these past few weeks and I knew you were drowning in a state of sadness, Being apart from the one you love must hurt but completely broken by bond must be worse.

"I’m guessing you’re a Royal?" I said not taking my eyes off Emma.

"Of course isn’t it obvious?"

Now I remember that name ’Zalatoris’, I heard my foster dad speak about it once, about an old family with royal vampire blood.

"Do I have my choice?" I asked, facing him and he smirked. "What if I tell you no?"

"Then it will be a waste, won’t it? You have a chance to bring your sister back to life and yet you don’t, It will be hell thinking about it, knowing that you had the chance but you let it slip away"

I gulped.

"Tell me Grayson... What is worse? Living a life of regret for your entire life and having to face your family or you just save her from her darkness, the worse?" he sighed.

"I don’t get to decide that for her"

"There was no choice in the matter" he rolled his eyes. "That part was already dominant, already within, just a few drops of blood gets to bring it to the surface, I’m not changing her, I’m awakening her"

"What’s the catch?" I asked because I knew he would gain something. He’s tricky since the moment I met him.

He shrugs with his hands in his pocket. "What to gain..." he mouths, staring into space. "Other than upholding a status of having Hybrids in my possession I don’t see what greater gain there is..."

I don’t trust him... but I can’t let Emma suffer anymore, I want her nightmare to end and even if she awakes and hates me for the rest of her life I will take it because I’m making a promise to myself right now.

I rose to my feet, dragging my body up.

I will never let her get hurt again... I will always be there for her, always and make sure she doesn’t have to go through this again.

"I will let you do it under one condition"

"And what’s that?"

"You don’t own the both of us"

"Hmm," he made a sound only as he unbuttoned his sleeves and rolled it to his arms, before bringing his wrist to his lips and taking a bite. "Did I not mention"

"Mention what?" I said darting my eyes as he brought his wrist close to her lips and I watched as his black blood dripped on her pale lips.

"I only know as far as awakening her with my blood, whatever happens next I have no notion"

"Should I take that as a bad thing?" I asked sternly.

"Depends... but there is one thing"

He wants to mention that now?

"Doing this will activate your father’s blessing"

"You didn’t say anything about that!"

He chuckled. "Like I said before, no one knew how Cassius Morelock’s mind works. I met with the nurse who was responsible for switching you at birth" he redirected his wrist and the wound closed up instantly. He darted his black eyes at me.

"What blessing?!"

"I don’t know, She refuses to speak, but maybe when she sees you herself she might just spill it out"
