BLOOD LEGACIES -
Chapter 179: Scenarios
Chapter 179: Scenarios
My green eyes were focused on the stone before me, floating at my eye level, I was heavily concentrated on it and not blinking even for a second. The stone spun slowly just above my palm, spinning like an orbit. A smile on my lips as I watched my accomplishment for it was a fruitful one for the past few days, but not until a headache shot through my head like a needle.
Holding my head I heard the stone dropping back to the table. I groaned.
"That was five minutes, good job Emma" Professor Colton said, checking his stopwatch before stopping the timer.
I tried to catch my breath which I did while still holding my forehead.
"So tell me... how does it feel now?"
"T-The first felt like my head was gonna split, now it’s just a headache"
"That got you breathing?"
"I-I’m really not a fan of pain," I said putting my glasses back on.
"I can see that," he mused. "At least now it’s just a headache that means we are improving, slight spells are what suit you best, if you work on that it will end you"
I nodded.
"How’s your vision without your glasses?"
"S-Still fuzzy"
He nods. "Now, Sophie... how are we coming along," he said moving to her and I followed with my eyes.
"Boring," she said in a nonchalant tone as the bricks before her split and reshaped into various forms, I just watched with wide eyes, she had it easier for her like a piece of cake. While spinning just a rock gave me a headache, she was doing twice what I did, and I couldn’t be amazed.
"The new spell must be coming through," he said.
Owen did the same thing, break, reshape, separate. I just found out that He and Sophie have the same element, Earth. Just watching both of them in front of their bricks with their two hands stretched out was a sight worth seeing.
Owen was fully concentrated on his and watching this side of him was quite enthralling... It was just like that day back in the garden when he wanted to show me a spell he was working on.
"Will you quit it?" Miles snapped at Henry, he was soaking wet now, Henry laughed at him while spinning the spiral of water just above his palm.
"Henry enough, this is a class, not a playground!"
"Sorry" he mused, despite professor Colton scolding he still had mischievousness in his tone.
"Fuck!" Miles cursed.
"Those two are always like that," Owen said without moving his gaze from his work almost like he could tell what was happening. "Henry is always up to something"
I can see that alright. I was left tongue-tied as I watched the water on Miles’s clothes extract out in droplets. Henry was wielding it, he separated the water from his body, and more was added to the spinning one at the top of his palm before forming into a circle.
"...Presšmi" he finished his alien language as the water settled"
"Miles..."
"Fire," Owen said like he knew what I was about to ask. "Just like the First. Fire, Earth, and water,"
"Ow!" Henry growled when his hand was burnt slightly by the little flame Miles conjured, he had a satisfied smirk on his lips running his hand through his shoulder-length dark hair.
My phone rang out loud.
"That is the 5th time, Emma Adams," Professor Colton said.
"Sorry" I mumbled, finally sliding my phone out.
"He’s calling awfully quite a lot," Owen said, reading the caller.
I quickly turned my phone off, I can’t speak with him right now.
"Will you two stop it?" Sophie snapped at them.
"Now to the next phase," Professor Colton said with a clap of his hand.
"He’s in full gear today" I mumbled,
"Yeah... summer’s over, classes won’t be this long"
"Or at all" Sophie cut in, I knew she was speaking to Owen and not directly to me.

I dropped the two big books on the table before taking my seat and adjusting my glasses. I released a sharp breath rubbing my forehead.
"Fuck!" I cursed quickly, sliding my phone out and turning it on. How long have I had this off? Hours I think, great! I quickly scanned my phone, and tons of messages flooded it.
"Oh, Dace" I moaned, we barely talked in the week I have been here, and even if we did it was when I retired back to my room, I always ended up falling asleep when we talked. I miss him and it was getting harder with all these super tight classes, but I knew there will be an end to it in due time. But am I that patient? Because right now I felt like going to him right now!
A video call distracted me from my thoughts.
"Fuck" I said with wide eyes. I don’t have a mirror here to check how I look, I just quickly shifted my glasses and slipped my hair down with my palm, pulling some loose strands from my bun behind my ear. I shakily slid the answer button and my breath was pitched when I saw him.
"Will you tell me why the fuck your phone’s off?"
I almost snorted a laugh seeing his angry face, for some odd reason he just looked so cute.
"Wait where are you?" I asked, suddenly seeing the trees around.
"I believe I’m the one asking a question here"
"I was in class, Dace, you almost got me in trouble"
"Are you okay?"
"Yes"
"Sure? Last time we talked you said you had a headache"
"I’m fine really, yes I had a headache today but it wasn’t as serious as before. Now, will you tell me where you are?"
"On my way to you"
"W-What?" I said with wide eyes and he laughed.
"Relax baby girl, you told me to play nice and I will. I’m doing some hunting"
"H-Hunting?"
"Yes with some others"
"Hey, Emma!" I heard in the background.
"Is that Lucas?"
"Don’t mind the idiot"
I snickered.
"God I miss you... just how long will you stay there?" he said with clenched teeth and I could already hear the growl next. "Do you have any idea how edgy I’m right now?"
"I-I can see"
"Good, because I have run fucking scenarios of coming to you"
Would it be weird if I said I did too?
