BLOOD LEGACIES
Chapter 167: Wrong Impression

Chapter 167: Wrong Impression

I groaned, stirring awake, I felt so good that I didn’t mind sleeping longer but my stomach inwardly growling was killing me. I groaned once again shifting and I got more uncomfortable, I didn’t wanna wake up now but it seems I had no choice so I flicked my eyes open... the room was super bright and the loud sound of the birds chirping filled the room like a lullaby, along with the soft whooshing of the wind and the movement of plants.

I closed my eyes for a brief second hoping to adjust my eyes to the newfound brightness and then I tried to move but I felt locked in place like I was caged, I groaned wiping my lips followed with drool before moving again but it seemed like a futile attempt so I trailed my hand down and found a strong arm around my waist and that was when my senses awoken, I felt my back pressed against a large chest with heat slipping from it. Dace held me so firmly that I was locked where I was, unable to move or even turn if I wanted to, he just held him in his unconscious state like I was gonna run away.

Suddenly the strong urge to pee found me and I tried moving again but it just felt like I was making a fool of myself.

"Dace," I said, gripping his arm. "Dace?" but no answer just the soft sound of his breath blowing behind my hair, just how deep is he sleeping? Well, that can’t be good because I really needed to pee.

"Dace, please I need to pee" I felt him move but I wasn’t sure he was awake, he rubbed his face against my hair before falling to my neck and breathing my scent. I shuddered by his action because his hot breath was now directed at the crook of my neck.

"I will be back I promise" At least he could hear me right? Seems like he did because he finally released his grip and I grabbed my glasses quickly rushing to the bathroom to relieve myself, that was close.

I walked out rubbing my stomach and then I set my eyes on him, I almost giggled when I saw him, he was still fast asleep, lying on his back with one hand behind his head, he looked so deep in sleep, he must be so tired like he hasn’t had a wink of sleep, it made me wonder if he had any during his hunt because right now he was out like a log.

I took my seat on the bed watching him, this sight was something I want to imprint in my brain, perfection, the way his dark hair fell on his forehead in curls and just called me to move but I refrained from doing so, I didn’t wanna wake him, he looked too tired. Such a quiet sleeper. I heard a slight snore from him, or not! I snorted a laugh but I quickly covered my mouth so that I won’t wake him, definitely not a quiet sleeper.

My stomach growling again snapped me back, I rubbed it with a pouting face, I didn’t have anything to eat throughout yesterday and after our heated session, I didn’t either. I really need to put something in my stomach fast. So I went downstairs to his living room and opened the fridge. It was empty, just water and some canned drinks. No food or anything chewable, seems like I would have to locate the kitchen, but where was it? I haven’t set my eyes on it before, I would just wake Dace and tell him I was hungry but that didn’t seem like a good idea. The thought of waking him when he finally has a good sleep made me feel guilty, like I will have to find the kitchen myself.

So I walked to the door and swiftly opened it, as I stepped outside I heard vacuuming so I traced the sound to the next lobby and I spotted a maid doing some cleanup, well about 5 of them, guessing it was the weekend that’s why I saw most of them. It just seems like those movies when maids cleaned the castle, they looked properly dressed, hair packed in a bun neatly, and in full maid professional uniform.

One caught sight of me, she looked puzzled at first before she looked at me from head to toe. I just smiled nervously hoping to seem welcoming but she didn’t return it. She walked toward me with a stiff expression.

I don’t know any of the maids here, even when I was here before I stayed mostly in Emilia’s room or Dace’s with food brought in for me so she probably didn’t know me too.

"Can I help you?" she asked with curiosity in her tone.

"U-Um" I stammered without forming words properly, meeting new people was always a big deal for me, it was a mess!

"Why are you coming out of the young master Suite?" she asked again and she looked offended by it now, making me frown. I opened my mouth to speak but she was fast.

"You don’t smell like a She-lion, but different," she said with a scowl but then she sighed with hands on her waist. "Probably the young master one nightstand again" she mumbled but I heard her quiet well. "Odd... none have come for months now" she continued like I wasn’t standing in front of her.

"E-Excuse me?" I sounded offended now and hurt.

She sighed again. "You should leave, okay?" she noted eyeing me from head to toe and I felt my blood boiling. "Wear your clothes I will escort you"

"I’m not what you think I am," I said trying to remain as calm as I could. Even as I felt my chest heavy with every word she uttered, talk about judging someone without knowing them. Well, I won’t blame her toughness out here, just Dace’s T-shirt gave her the wrong impression.

She smirked. "Look I know you’re thinking you have some kind of pride because you fucked with our young master... I will advise you not to let it get to your head, you’re not his fe-" she paused but I knew what she was about to say but she seemed like she couldn’t because she was unable to determine what I was. "You’re not a She-lion then what are you?"

"HIS Female"
