Chapter 597: Clue 547 Chapter Three (Thank you Alliance Hierarch EIvin2016 for the reward)

"Criminals? The era must be very distant, then? Is there still a way for people to enter and exit that space now?" Li Chengyi’s question had a clear purpose—to understand why Paine had gone there in the first place. After all, that place was definitely not a haven of safety, and he even took so many people with him.

There had to be a reason.

"That’s unclear, but I guess someone is definitely still tossing people into the Shadow Dragon Prison," Liedeman laughed.

"Without going into detail, our Hunter Headquarters and the Sunlight Council, when we encounter opponents too difficult to kill and resolve, will use some special and strange objects to throw them into these kinds of prison spaces. Actually, there isn’t just one of these prisons."

"Understood...." Li Chengyi nodded, "Then, is there a way for us to freely enter and exit as well?"

"There’s only one way for that, and that’s to wait for it to open on its own," Liedeman shook his head.

Li Chengyi fell silent; there had to be a reason Paine went to that place with people for no apparent cause.

Now that he had completed the furnace of the Eighteen Seals, he had also gotten a partial understanding of the approximate strength levels within Anze.

"Thank you for the intelligence, Minister. With that said, I shall take my leave early today," he said, standing and cupping his hands in thanks.

Liedeman thought to himself wordlessly, no contact when nothing’s amiss, but rushing to ask questions and leaving right after when there’s something—he really took him for a tool.

But what could he do? Who was he to argue with someone so powerful?

He held back his reluctance and quickly returned the gesture.

With a flash of dark light, Li Chengyi instantly disappeared on the spot.

The next second, he was already standing in a roadside forest outside the Hunter Division.

’It seems it’s time to eliminate some of the other noise in the city.’

He looked up at the sky, turned his figure, and once again vanished with a flash of dark light.

Several minutes later.

New Moon Congregation, Bilia Manor.

As the largest New Moon gathering place in Ludian City, aside from the castle on the outskirts, this was the second largest hub for the congregation’s members.

Surrounded by a large green lawn, the pure white, mountain-shaped manor stood imposingly.

With parasols, tables, chairs, a swimming pool, and a tennis court on the lawn, about a dozen members of the congregation were scattered about, moving to and fro.

Inside the manor, a cold and elegant blonde woman with red eyes, dressed in a simple white lace lingerie revealing a perfect figure, stood by the window, utterly unconcerned about exposing her body to the eyes of the congregants outside.

She was Morf, one of the count-level powerhouses within the Church Group, and one of the two lords of the New Moon Congregation in Ludian.

As members of the Blood Tribe, their long lifespans made them quite indifferent to many of the world’s doctrines.

To them, romantic pleasures were merely a spice of life; indeed, Morf was a fearsome being within the entire congregation.

She enjoyed toying with the opposite sex, killing handsome individuals during moments of agony and ecstasy by draining their blood in an instant.

As for whether these individuals were members of the congregation or not, she didn’t care.

So, despite her striking beauty, no one dared to truly provoke her.

After watching the scenery outside for a while, she leisurely turned around and walked towards the sofa in the living room.

Passing by the bathroom, the open door revealed pure white bathtubs containing the pale corpses of men.

They were lascivious men she had seduced the night before.

As long as they made the first move against a member of their congregation, even if it violated the Sunlight Council’s rules, they were permitted to dispense with such offenders at will.

So, as long as she was the one being actively pursued by these lustful individuals, killing any number of them would not be considered a breach of the rules.

Casually straightening her golden tassel-like hair, Morf was about to pick up the ritual documents on the table, which were related to the revival application for Lord Mosang.

Ludian City originally had three lords... But the previous mysterious disappearance case resulted in Mosang’s strange vanishing, leaving only his ashes and remnants of his gear at the scene.

And the revival application had been sitting there for a long time, but she had not approved it, waiting instead for the return of the Bishop, her father.

But suddenly...

Whoosh...

A gust of wind blew past, causing her skin to shiver.

"Who’s there!?" She sharply turned her head, her beautiful eyes narrowing as she looked towards the window.

But the window was empty, only the cold wind lifting the black curtains, causing them to sway gently.

With a furrowed brow, she turned back around, only to suddenly have her pupils constrict.

Right there on the sofa in the living room sat a man in a black tailored trench coat with white hair.

His long hair draped over his shoulders, his long legs casually crossed as he held Mosang’s revival application, flipping through it nonchalantly.

This was a very handsome, well-built man, whose eyes were not the common brown of the Ludian people but a mysterious black with a hint of gold.

"Who are you?" Morf’s alertness shot up to its maximum.

For someone to have entered her room unnoticed, sitting so close without her realizing, indicated a terrifying level of skill.

"Last time, a Blood Tribe member named Mosang told me that the Blood Tribe was the fastest group in the world, so out of curiosity, I popped in to have a look," the man said, revealing himself to be the resolved Li Chengyi.

He put down the document, stood up, and looked towards Morf.

"Could you let me witness that speed of yours?"

"...I hope you won’t regret this..." Morf didn’t know who the man was, but since he dared to break in here, it meant he was surely an enemy.

And an enemy...

Hiss!!

In an instant, she broke the sound barrier, appearing behind Li Chengyi as a blur, a claw ready to strike at the back of his neck.

Unfortunately, that claw didn’t complete its strike.

Because a finger was already lightly touching the center of her chest, hovering just above her heart.

"So weak...." Disappointment flashed in Li Chengyi’s eyes.

"Since you can be revived, there’s no need to kill you.... So..."

The newly evolved Wisteria Flower’s Language was suddenly activated.

’Flower Language Technique: The Hand of Silence (Upon touch, it immerses the target in a powerful illusion of their own making, from which they cannot escape. With a significant disparity in mental strength, it can last until they age to death.)’

Morf’s mouth had already grown vampiric fangs, as she summoned all her strength in preparation to fight to the death.

But it was already too late.

A massive swirl of psychic energy instantly absorbed her consciousness completely.

There she stood, motionless, her eyes devoid of life.

Li Chengyi withdrew his hand, admired her figure for a moment, then sat back on the sofa and waited quietly.

The immersive illusion of the Hand of Silence could be awakened at any time.

Ultimately, the New Moon Congregation was still a church group, and in this world with a God, Li Chengyi did not wish to rashly confront the most powerful organization head-on before he found the person he was looking for.

So, he chose to take control.

The New Moon Congregation had existed for over a few thousand years, certainly accumulating sufficient resources and records.

There might be more information about the Shadow Dragon Prison.

About ten minutes later, Li Chengyi finally snapped his fingers.

Pop.

Morf’s distracted gaze gradually focused as she slowly awoke from the illusion.

Her breathing suddenly became rapid, then quickly slowed down.

Her pupils fixed on the spot where Li Chengyi stood motionless.

The brief encounter just now had proven that she was far from his match.

"What do you want? My affiliation with the New Moon Congregation shouldn’t have crossed you, right?" Her tone was calm, the reality of everything in the recent illusion making her fully aware of the immense gap in strength between herself and Li Chengyi.

"Tell me about the Shadow Dragon Prison," Li Chengyi said.

"The Shadow Dragon Prison... an ancient jail discovered by the Dark Religion thousands of years ago. Inside, the spaces grow larger as you ascend in number or go deeper. The higher the number, the stronger the prisoners. We also seal and imprison some of the most heinous wrongdoers from within our own congregation," Morf replied swiftly.

Her cool temperament right away led her to the conclusion that she must fully cooperate with his demands, or else there could be dire consequences.

"And the method of entry?"

"Once every three years, through a fixed entrance that cannot be altered," Morf answered.

"Is there no other way?" Li Chengyi frowned.

"That... I’m not sure, but the madmen of the Hades Congregation are knowledgeable. Perhaps they might know of other ways," Morf suggested with a calm gaze.

"Good. From now on, you will work for me," Li Chengyi nodded in satisfaction and pointed his finger.

A Consciousness Seed penetrated Morf’s forehead.

Instinctively she wanted to resist, but then a slap resounded across her face.

A mighty force viciously struck her left cheek, spitting a mouthful of blood onto the ground, splattering.

The force was so great that it sent her flying, crashing sideways into the wall with a dull thud.

"Resist again, and you’ll stay forever in the dream," Li Chengyi said with a smile.

"....." Morf got up, with intense anger and frustration flashing in her eyes.

Just wait until her father returned; then she would deal with this man before her... Her pride in her speed and abilities was utterly useless before him.

"My information isn’t difficult to find. Remember not to expose my identity. Don’t bother me on regular days. I will come to you when I need you," Li Chengyi instructed casually.

As he became more familiar with the place, he gradually let loose in his actions.

"Do you understand?"

"Yes..." Morf bowed her head, filled with humiliation and hatred.

Once this man left, she planned to pray and signal other formidable members of the congregation for help.

Thinking to control her with some unknown method? Ridiculous. As soon as she recovered once, she could completely rid herself of any restraints and control.

Hatred +2.

Hatred +4.

Hatred +3.

Continous Evil Thoughts kept flooding into Li Chengyi’s mind, then dissipated slowly as they had nowhere to be stored and were not converted in the end.

This was also part of his plan—having had this idea since his time in Earth-Moon, he intended to build a private team solely comprised of gangsters, letting them hold grudges against him, and making them resent him to absorb Evil Thoughts at any time.

"Very well, I look forward to our next meeting."

Li Chengyi smiled faintly and abruptly pointed his finger.

In an instant, a bloody red eyeball appeared in the palm of his hand.

Then, with a flash of black light, he disappeared from the spot.

Only Morf, who had regained her composure, was left clutching her left eye in agony, screaming in distress.

The Hades Congregation.

Ludian City boasted a comprehensive underground drainage network, but what lay beneath was not just a system of subterranean sewers.

Outside the city area, in an adjacent underground space, lay a vast cavern, long since excavated, containing orderly rows of black rock structures.

Figures clad in black robes, with silver chained books hanging from their waists, moved constantly in and out between these buildings.

Swish.

Black light flickered.

Inside the largest compound,

Li Chengyi appeared out of nowhere in front of the grand doors carved with Rose patterns. He was somewhat puzzled.

Because where he Flash Appeared wasn’t here, but further inside. Yet a faint mysterious force had guided him here.

’Interesting... it can limit my Shadow Flash,’ he mused and knocked on the door.

Thud thud.

"Come in. It’s rare for a guest of your stature to visit," an unpleasant and shrill voice came from inside.

Li Chengyi grasped the doorknob, about to push open the door.

Suddenly, the corner of his mouth curled, and he hesitated.

As if realizing something, but without further delay, he proceeded to push the door forcefully inward.

Click.

As the door swung open,

with the sound of clicking, a barrage of purple-red lightning struck from inside, hitting Li Chengyi hard.

Hiss hiss!!

Amid the intense sound of electrical paralysis, Li Chengyi’s body was almost wrapped in a web of purple-red electricity.
