Blind Spot -
Chapter 383 - 350 applications 2
Chapter 383: 350 applications 2
Li Chengyi had always enjoyed the purified power of the Evil Flower’s bloodline and the conveniences of the Holy Spirit Technique without any guilt.
But the reality was, could these powers of the Flower Language Technique really come without a price?
"Brother, I’m just making a suggestion, but your abilities are of great help to research. You could utilize them to build your own core strength," Yserine said.
"I understand, this matter, I really should start dealing with it later. Aren’t the countless wondrous phenomena in the Blind Spot endless resources? Exploring all the unsolved mysteries... turning them into nourishment for my own growth... I understand..."
At this moment, he thought of the Dark Floral Dress he saw when he first inherited the Evil Flower, which was damaged.
That Floral Dress clearly belonged to the previous owner of the Evil Flower, but now, he had disappeared.
If the Evil Flower could naturally develop the strongest power, then it wouldn’t have been his turn to inherit it.
Thereby, he must change, and carve out his own path.
Puff.
Closing his notebook, he slipped it into the pocket of his coat.
"Brother, the Blind Spot where you are is too far, too intense, and the interference is also significant, so I can’t keep in contact with you all the time. If there’s an issue, you just call me in your mind, and the psychic imprint I left will reconnect us," Yserine said.
"I understand."
Li Chengyi nodded.
He exited through the window and proceeded to search the other three towers.
The layouts of the three towers were nearly identical, but he only discovered two notebooks, and judging by the handwriting, they were clearly written by two different individuals.
After collecting the three notebooks, Li Chengyi finally headed to the central Angelic Structure.
He didn’t go straight to the rooftop from the outside but entered through the ground-level entrance as before.
Following the empty, ash-white stone hall, he ascended further up.
The intricate patterns on the floor, the distorted symbols on the murals, the Serpent Trees and Angels carved on the ceiling, all clearly displayed that many people had meticulously carved and decorated this place once upon a time.
First Layer. Nothing there.
Second Layer.
A row of long tables, neatly arranged in the middle of the hall.
In the midst of the densely packed stone chairs, sat a gaunt figure draped in a grey-white robe, head lowered as if in prayer.
The figure had its back to Li Chengyi, motionless.
Li Chengyi disregarded him, walking instead toward the staircase on the left that led up.
Click.
Halfway through, he suddenly stepped back.
Whoosh!
A grey, translucent flame brushed past him and violently struck the wall.
The wall suffered no damage, but the flame grazed the surface of the Floral Dress on Li Chengyi’s right hand, leaving a charred mark.
Li Chengyi glanced sideways.
The previously seated gaunt figure had now stood up.
Peering out from beneath his grey robe was a Skeleton face covered with a netting-like material of ash.
In his open right hand, a distorted grey flame slowly burned, translucent and flickering in his palm.
"Could it be, this is a Necromancer?" Li Chengyi was surprised.
He watched as the figure raised their hand again, ready to throw the translucent flame his way.
"If this is indeed a true Mage, could I learn the method of practice from him?" The thought made Li Chengyi’s interest surge.
The Seven Spirit Holy Technique belonged to a previous life’s Eastern style and, although powerful, it couldn’t help one establish a basic system of development and research.
If he wanted to carve out his own path, then... he must collect a vast array of techniques for comparison and study.
He didn’t believe that his wisdom alone could match the essence derived from the deep meditations of countless other wise individuals.
Therefore, collecting and learning was the quickest way to progress.
Having set his goal.
Li Chengyi’s figure flashed, disappearing in an instant, and then reappeared beside the gaunt figure.
"1+1=2," he said aloud.
Boom!
The gaunt figure’s legs instantly sank, embedding into the floor.
The incredibly hard grey stone surface was unable to stop his legs from driving deep into the ground.
At the same time, the grey translucent flame in the figure’s hand also snuffed out, vanishing.
"Alright, now we’re friends," Li Chengyi said with a smile. "Please impart the fundamentals of that attack technique you just used to me, and don’t refuse, or I’ll beat you up."
The Grey-robed Skeleton was taken aback, then withdrew its legs and walked to the left.
When it pressed the wall on the side of the hall, a hidden compartment slowly opened up.
Inside the rectangular compartment were some books, food and drink utensils, and spare clothes.
The Grey-robed Skeleton flipped through the books, picked out an old, grey leather-bound volume, and handed it to Li Chengyi.
"Thank you," Li Chengyi said, feeling even more astounded by the terror of the Power of Language, a technique of the Flower Language, as he watched the figure’s natural movements.
Despite how many times he’d seen it, the Flower Language Technique was so bug-ridden that it left him deeply astonished.
Taking the book, which was written in Xadelama language—he didn’t understand it, but he could learn from Yserine when he got back.
He must admit, meeting Yserine was one of the greatest gains since he became a Blind Spot Individual.
Otherwise, he would often have to return empty-handed from a treasure mountain.
Holding the book, he placed it in his coat pocket.
"Also, please help me find the Whispering Ring. Don’t refuse; I’ll get angry if you do, and I’ll beat you up if I get angry," Li Chengyi continued.
"....." The Grey-robed Skeleton was at a loss for words, indicating from his actions that he still retained some form of thought and consciousness.
After turning half a circle in place, the Grey-robed Skeleton found a direction and walked straight ahead.
Li Chengyi followed closely, anticipation rising in his heart.
The Skeletons before had no idea where the Whispering Ring was, but this one did; clearly, his rank was much higher than the previous ones.
Perhaps....
Soon, the two arrived at the stairwell leading to the Third Layer.
The Skeleton halted, pointing toward the third floor while looking at Li Chengyi.
"Is it on the third floor or above?" Li Chengyi understood its meaning.
Clearly, the Grey-robed Skeleton only knew that the Whispering Ring was somewhere on the upper floor, but exactly where remained unclear to it.
"Looks like there’s no avoiding it..." Li Chengyi sighed and patted the shoulder of the Grey-robed Skeleton.
"Thanks, buddy."
He took a step and headed towards the third floor.
Climbing the long stone staircase, when he reached the corner, he looked back at the Grey-robed Skeleton.
It had silently returned to the spot where it had been standing in a horse stance, its legs once again sunk into the position, quietly waiting for the Flower Language Technique’s time to pass.
Li Chengyi’s heart stirred slightly and he waited for a moment.
Calculating the time, about five more minutes later, the Grey-robed Skeleton finally pulled its legs out, looked around, and then sat back down in the center position.
"So that makes a total of twelve minutes?" Li Chengyi checked his mechanical watch.
After discovering that electronic devices were heavily restricted, he had acquired a mechanical watch that kept time as accurately as possible, convenient for use in Blind Spots.
"You’re much stronger than those common Skeletons below, so I’ll call you Skeleton Mage."
He withdrew his gaze and continued upwards.
Onto the third floor.
This was a wide stone corridor.
To the left was a terrace with no windows or doors, with just a turn and a sprint, one could leap down from the upper floor.
He walked forward a few steps, and soon he saw a figure in white Armor standing by the terrace, looking down at the view below.
That was the Juggernaut he had first encountered and fought against when he entered this place.
Clang clang.
The Armored figure turned, lifting its heavy sword and striding toward him.
"1+1 equals 2," Li Chengyi said aloud.
Boom.
The Armored figure’s legs sank into the ground, the heavy sword drooping, standing still on the spot.
Just as Li Chengyi was about to move forward, a thought struck him.
A slight smile appeared on the corner of his mouth.
"Please help me clear the way, knock down all those who block the path. If you don’t help me, I’ll get angry, and when I’m angry, I will hit you. You wouldn’t want that, would you?"
"...."
The Armored figure hesitated for a moment, then pulled out its legs and turned forward.
It actually started clearing the way for Li Chengyi!
"....." Li Chengyi too opened his eyes wide; it was just a trial, but it actually worked??
The Armored figure was very tall, about two meters and thirty or forty centimeters, taller than he was now, and its figure, due to the Armor, was much more robust than his.
Walking in front, it seemed to completely block him from view, making him invisible.
"Wait for me, or else I’ll hit you!"
Li Chengyi’s expression changed, and he quickly gave an order before turning back and rushing downstairs.
Soon, the newly dubbed Skeleton Mage followed him up the stairs, then walked behind the Armored figure.
"Let’s go. If you don’t want me to hit you, clear the path for me!"
Li Chengyi’s speech flowed more smoothly.
Continuing along the corridor.
Quickly, there was one, two, three, four...
More and more Armored figures joined Li Chengyi’s team.
They lined up in a row, leading the way, with the Skeleton Mage in the rear.
Li Chengyi stood at the end.
This Flower Language Technique... truly opened his eyes; who knew one could play this way!?
Five Armored figures in total, plus one Skeleton Mage, quickly reached the end of the corridor with him.
At the end, an Angel with grey-white Armor and wings silently sat on the steps, bowing its head in wait.
It was none other than the Balance Angel.
"Cut it down! Otherwise, I’ll cut you down!!" Li Chengyi pointed at the Angel.
Bang bang bang bang bang!!
Instantly, the Armored figures charged at the Balance Angel like bulls, brandishing their heavy swords.
The Skeleton Mage in the rear gathered a grey fireball and threw it forward.
The Balance Angel swiftly stood up, its wings unfurling and shining with white light.
It lifted its heavy sword and swung at the incoming Armored figures.
Numerous spots of white light converged on the blade and emerged.
Boom!!
A strong gust and shockwave exploded from the sword, filling the entire corridor like a large, distorted clear water mass, barreling towards the group of Armored figures.
Bang bang bang bang!!
One after the other, the Armored figures were easily knocked away like bowling pins.
The grey fire from the Skeleton Mage also collided with this distortion.
Boom!
The fire exploded, and the distortion faded somewhat.
At that moment, Li Chengyi had closed in to within twenty meters of the Balance Angel.
The range of the Power of Language was twenty meters!
"1+1!"
"Equals 2!!"
He shouted loudly toward the front.
If he could control the Balance Angel... have the Angel’s balancing ability confront the Silent Angel on the top floor...
To forcibly pull his own strength to match the opponent’s, Balance Angel versus Silent Angel, he was quite looking forward to seeing who was stronger.
