Chapter 258: Get on 240, towards 4
Among Blind Spot Individuals, there are High-Frequency Blinkers, High-Level Sensors, and also potentially other various gifts that haven’t been discovered.
"Paine told me that he could hear strange sounds in the Blind Spot, and just by following the sounds, he could successfully get out. At first, I didn’t quite believe it. But right before my eyes, he suddenly entered a Blind Spot! Then he reappeared in an instant!"
Li Chengyi said earnestly.
"That’s amazing!" Rainbow Candy was shocked. "If his ability is real, then... isn’t it so that all Blind Spots can be easily escaped!? There’s no need to worry about safety issues then!?"
"I suspect that, like me, he also belongs to a special group of abilities among Blind Spot Individuals," Li Chengyi said.
"Got it, once we get off the plane and retrieve our equipment, I will follow up and observe!" Aware of the importance of the situation, Rainbow Candy promptly agreed.
Their equipment, including unmanned drones, weapons, and Li Chengyi’s Green Electric Greatsword, were all checked in the luggage. It’s currently inconvenient to use equipment for marking.
Turning off his phone, Li Chengyi looked back at Paine, who was sleeping soundly. His mother was comforting his brother, casually covering him with a thin blanket.
’If it’s really confirmed that Paine has such a rare gift... then... his importance could be no less than the Book of Record!’ Li Chengyi was clear in his mind.

Sutan Sharinpo.
Originally just a remote small city in the desert, it has now gathered batches of special explorers from around the world, thanks to the ancient artifact exploration event hosted by the Noel Group.
A funding reward of fifty million White units (the currency of White Star) is enough to make every explorer who participates incredibly rich overnight, with enough to not work for the rest of their lives, living in total relaxation.
It was now noon, the hottest time of day with direct sunlight piercing the desert.
A passenger plane from the White Star Stormy Sea slowly landed at Sharin Slope Airport.
As the broadcast sounded.
Groups of tourists followed the guides and disembarked one after another.
Among many tourists holding up signs, a group of men and women dressed in uniform dark blue military gear, with calm expressions, emerged from the jet bridge.
This group of people had a completely different style compared to the disheveled tourists around them. There were twelve of them in total, and leading the way was a woman with silver hair tied into a high ponytail, wearing a silver monocle.
If someone familiar with the Blind Spot circle saw them, they would recognize at a glance that this group was the famous Blind Spot Team from White Star—Sea Wolves.
The leader of the Sea Wolves is changed every two years, and the current leader is a silver-haired, well-built woman named Alisa Griffiths.
That was the high-ponytailed woman leading the front.
The Sea Wolves followed the majority and headed towards the luggage area, preparing to wait for the conveyor to deliver their suitcases.
Their main equipment was all in the suitcases. For this event, they had made thorough preparations.
However, upon arriving at the luggage area, they were startled to find their suitcases completely separated from those of other tourists, piled up in a corner, being opened one by one for inspection.
The individuals conducting the inspections were a team of airport staff wearing official black uniforms.
Around them stood a squadron of Sutan soldiers clad in yellow camouflage. They were covered in exoskeletons and wore heavy helmets, each person two to three meters tall, looking from afar like towering mechanical mantises.
The leader of these soldiers was a man with long red hair.
He had a slender figure, a smile on his lips, and in his eyes lurked a terrifying cruelty.
"I apologize, but in accordance with the local laws of Sutan, to address unstable factors, an emergency response plan has been specially devised," he said, turning around and bowing slightly to the rapidly approaching Sea Wolves.
He appeared very courteous, but the malice in those blue eyes wasn’t hidden at all.
"There’s no law that states passenger luggage can be opened by third parties after disembarking a plane!" Sea Wolves’ leader Alisa saw her underwear being pulled out of their suitcase by several people and carelessly tossed aside, and the fire within her surged up instantaneously.
"Are you trying to start an international incident!?" She stepped forward and pressed the red-haired man.
"Unfortunately, ordinary passengers definitely wouldn’t be an issue. But are you ordinary passengers?" The red-haired man smiled maliciously. "I am Agasha Mein, if you’re dissatisfied, you can file a complaint against me."
He stood still and lightly blew air towards the Sea Wolves’ leader.
"Or, you could choose to resist violently," he said, gesturing in a circle behind her.
"Look, your Sea Wolves have brought~~ so many people and so much contraband! What are you here for? Terror attacks?"
Sea Wolves’ leader Alisa’s face turned red as she looked at the dozen-plus exoskeleton soldiers behind him; clearly, the opposing side was prepared.
"Alisa, stay calm," a black-haired man behind her said softly, grabbing her hand that was reaching towards her back.
"I am calm... King," Alisa replied, looking at the valuable equipment being taken out from their suitcases and assembled by others. Her rage surged like waves, again and again, unstoppable.
Not just her, but the other members of the Sea Wolves felt the same. Seeing their beloved gear being tampered with and personal items being rummaged through, anyone would get furious.
"Would you like to aim here and give it a shot?" Agasha Mein said with a sinister laugh, pointing to his own throat.
Alisa and the rest of the Sea Wolves subconsciously clenched their fists tightly.
The atmosphere was like a powder keg, just waiting for a spark to set it off.
"Stay cool!" The black-haired man touched Alisa’s back again. "There are a lot of people lying in ambush outside!"
Alisa noticed this as well, casting a glance outside the airport with the corner of her eye and seeing groups of soldiers donned in bulletproof vests surrounding the airport in a dispersed formation.
All sorts of heavy weapons were faintly visible.
Drones hovered in swarms midair.
"Agasha Mein, is it? I’ll remember you!" Alisa pointed at him earnestly.
Boom!
Suddenly, she was struck by a flying kick, hitting her right in the abdomen.
The kick was forceful and sent her flying several meters away, crashing into two Sea Wolves behind her.
"You motherfucker!!"
The Sea Wolves were furious, rushing forward, ready to fight.
Click-clack.
A multitude of gun barrels lifted, all aimed at them.
The group instantly dared not move.
"Come on, do it! Fight! Come kill me!" Agasha Mein raised his hands high and burst into laughter.
"Come on, don’t be afraid, beat me to death!"
"Let’s go!" A black-haired man from the Sea Wolves helped up their leader Alisa and took over command with a grave voice.
"Get out of the airport first!" he whispered.
Suppressing their rage, with guns trained on them and without their gear, they could only walk out of the airport defeated, reaching the outdoor rest area to wait for the inspection to end.
Soon, the check was complete, all their equipment and weapons were confiscated from their luggage, leaving only their everyday clothes, now dirty and in disarray.
"These lowlifes! Fuck!" Alisa’s face was extremely unsightly.
"Blind Spot Individuals always get shabby treatment, but I didn’t expect Sultan to drop all pretense this time and move against us openly," replied the black-haired man in a heavy tone. "They’re targeting us, but it’s unclear if they’re just after the Sea Wolves or..."
"There are quite a few Blind Spot Individuals this time. Let’s wait and see what exactly they’re up to?" Alisa clenched her teeth, still in throbbing pain from the kick to her stomach.
The group waited in the rest area, barely containing their fury.
Before long, another passenger plane arrived.
Groups of tourists disembarked one after another. Among them, two small teams of three to five people each walked out.
Agasha Mein, who seemed to have precise intel, took his people up to them and quickly blocked off the Blind Spot Individuals from both teams.
"It’s Core Bullets! The Blind Spot Team from Yi Country!" Alisa recognized the members of one of the teams.
"The other is the Northern Shore Star from Xista Tower," the black-haired man added. "They must all be Blind Spot Teams drawn here."
There are many Blind Spot Individuals in the world, and naturally, there are many teams as well.
These teams are generally formed for one purpose: information sharing to increase their chances of survival.
Some are even formed purely because Blind Spot Individuals are marginalized and ignored by society, so they spontaneously band together for self-preservation.
"Core Bullets are a violent group with many madmen in it. I’d like to see how they handle this!" Alisa said sternly, focusing intently on the security checkpoint.
As expected, a burst of loud arguing began. Clearly, their checked luggage was also opened and confiscated.
The four Core Bullets individuals looked psychotic, with two of them starting a fight without warning.
One charged at Agasha, and another at an exoskeleton soldier nearby.
Pop, pop, pop, pop!
In an instant, a volley of bullets was fired.
Before they got close, the two were riddled with bullets on the spot, their blood gushing out like water from a sieve.
The remaining two were punched down to the ground by Agasha and another man, each with a light yet precise blow.
"These trash are the unstable elements of society, potential terrorists! Look, look!" Agasha raised his hands and laughed. "They dare to attack even our official soldiers, what won’t they dare to do?"
"Blind Spot Individuals are all trash! Do you see? Each one of them is an unstable bomb!"
"What? You’re not convinced?" He felt the unfriendly gazes from the three members of Northern Shore Star and turned his cold scrutiny on them.
"For the sake of maintaining local security and order, all Blind Spot Individuals coming to Sultan must have their luggage checked and all contraband confiscated!"
He raised his right hand and announced loudly.
Many tourists and local staff around them started to cheer in agreement.
"Can we go now?" The leader of Northern Shore Star, a tall man with a stern face named Lei Shan, asked.
"Of course... you’ve been very obedient," Agasha sneered maliciously.
Lei Shan nodded, leading his two companions out of the security checkpoint like ordinary people.
Their luggage contained expensive equipment and personal items, some of which were not even contraband, were confiscated, with some items stealthily taken by the soldiers.
"Boss, are we just going to put up with this?!" a woman behind Lei Shan couldn’t help but ask in suppressed anger.
"No worries, I can compensate you for the items later, let them do as they please. The attitude shown by Sultan Official is more important," Lei Shan replied calmly.
"Yes, it seems we’re not very welcome here," another man adjusted his AR glasses and responded in a low voice.
"No one welcomes us; in this world, the only one you can rely on is yourself," Lei Shan said. "The event is organized by Noel Group, yet Sultan Official is showing a severely unwelcoming stance, which clearly indicates a significant disparity between the Noel Group and the officials."
"But our equipment..." The only woman in the group was still not over it.
"I’ve already contacted locals and acquired enough substitutes. It’ll be tough, but later we can assemble them ourselves," the man with glasses replied.
"Let’s go. This time, we must find the Book of Record. If what Noel Group released is true, then finding the Book of Record could grant us each two more Crescent Moons," Lei Shan said indifferently.
Meanwhile, the airport’s loudspeakers activated once more, broadcasting a message in Sultan’s language.
The scrolling display also popped up with information.
"t7762 flight from Chaoyu City, Yi Country, passengers, please proceed to carousel number four to retrieve your luggage."
In the jet bridge corridor, Li Chengyi and others were slowly moving along with the crowd, heading out.
