Blind Spot
Chapter 208: Ready 4

Chapter 208: Ready 4

"It’s different from the ones at Sutan’s place. You’ll know in a moment," Li Chengyi said with a mysterious smile.

"The technology from the thugs’ side is the most top-notch in the world, including direct brainwave communication, ultra-fine particle robotic assembly technology, biometric field integration technology, and so on."

He rattled off a series of terms he made up on the spot, bamboozling everyone into stunned silence, unsure whether he was serious or not.

"Really? That exaggerated? Can we really communicate through brainwaves now?" Rainbow Candy was somewhat skeptical.

"In theory, yes, but the Ethics Committee doesn’t allow it," Xindela replied, having been one of White Star’s capital partners and somewhat familiar with these matters.

"And what the hell is this particle robot? Do we actually have such exaggerated technology?" Rainbow Candy asked again.

"That does exist, and Yi Country has applied it to the manufacturing of Flying Yi. It’s just extremely difficult," nodded Xindela.

"Alright, stop guessing, everything has arrived here with me."

Li Chengyi smiled and stretched out his hand, in the palm of which lay five purple-red, round crystals.

Each crystal was only the size of a fingernail, and one could vaguely make out fine floral shadows within.

These were the Flower Language Ability that Li Chengyi acquired by choosing Purple Magnolia.

’Flower Language: Mother of Heart (After use, temporarily lend one’s own power to another person. In the beginning, it takes the form of a crystal. Once fully accepted, it will merge into the body and mind, and the corresponding Floral Armor’s power can be used with just a thought.)’

What was different was that after Purple Magnolia truly occupied the Divine Flower Position, the details of its Flower Language Ability were more elaborately described.

"This is the latest research achievement, each one represents a complete set of exoskeleton biometric armors. Most importantly, this biometric armor can naturally enhance your physical fitness as you wear it, because it and you exist in a symbiotic relationship,"

Li Chengyi explained.

"Symbiosis!?" Xindela was the first to frown. "Xiao Yi, are you sure you’re not joking? Symbiotic armors were a research direction that had been studied long ago but all attempts ended in failure. This is an entirely different research path!"

Not just him, Rainbow Candy and Xiao Zhong too changed their expressions, being somewhat aware of the situation and knowing what symbiotic armors represented.

This was an entirely new and different field.

Only Da Xiong seemed a bit clueless, not understanding the issue.

"Isn’t there also research on organ symbiosis in the medical field?" she asked, puzzled.

"It’s different from that. Symbiotic armors, also known as bio-armors, are about perfectly integrating material science with biology, and they were pathways that many in White Star and Yi Country once tried to succeed in but failed," explained Xindela.

"I’m not sure about the difficulty, but you’ll understand once you try it for yourselves."

Li Chengyi walked down the slope.

Everyone moved forward on their own initiative.

Rainbow Candy was the first to walk over and take a crystal from his palm.

"How do you use this?"

"Do you trust me?" Li Chengyi asked with a smile.

"Of course. Should I swallow it?" Rainbow Candy raised an eyebrow.

"No need. It’s already done," replied Li Chengyi.

Rainbow Candy was stunned to discover that the crystal in her hand had mysteriously vanished.

She hadn’t even realized when it had disappeared.

"Feel it with your heart, do not resist or be wary of it, and you’ll gain a lot," Li Chengyi said softly.

Next was Da Xiong.

She curiously reached out and picked up a purple round bead gently.

"It will enter your body and grow with you. Then, at a critical moment, it will become your strength," Li Chengyi explained.

Accept it with your heart.

This was a very mystical concept.

What does it take to truly accept with the heart? Perhaps everyone has their own answer.

"Thank you, Brother Yi," Da Xiong said sweetly, smiling.

Next was Dragon Gate Crane.

"Can I take two?" he asked with a mischievous grin.

"This is just a seed, no matter how many you take, only one will fully grow," Li Chengyi said with a smile.

"Alright then." He reached out and gently pinched a round bead.

Whoosh.

The bead almost disappeared the instant he touched it.

"Huh!?" Dragon Gate Crane’s eyes widened, suspecting he was seeing things.

"Stop looking. Next," Li Chengyi laughed, knowing well what this meant—it showed the other person’s complete acceptance of him, with no defenses and full trust.

Then came Xiao Zhong.

He reached for the bead, which also disappeared midway, leaving him to walk away with a look of wonder, continuously checking his palm and sleeves.

Last was Xindela.

"Actually... from the very beginning, I had some doubts. But I never expected you to reveal everything so soon."

Xindela looked at Li Chengyi warmly.

"Aren’t you scared?" he asked.

"Scared," Li Chengyi replied. "So now, isn’t it about strength in numbers?"

He held out, the last bead spread open toward the other.

"You’ve grown more than before," Xindela said as he reached out and gently picked up the final bead.

But before his hand fully retracted, the bead had already vanished.

"Thank you," Xindela said earnestly.

"Feel it, and you’ll get better," Li Chengyi responded.

In fact, after he had achieved the Purple Floral Dress, he was eager to wear it himself at once.

But the structure of Mother of Heart was complicated, and it took him a long time to fully understand it.

The essence of Mother of Heart was to replicate his Floral Armor and Flower Language, lending it to other people.

This replication doesn’t affect the strength of the original.

Based on the principle of energy conservation.

Those who accept Mother of Heart, the Floral Armors on them are mainly formed by themselves.

The Floral Beads split from Mother of Heart continuously draw energy from their bodies and minds to grow.

Until a certain point is reached, and then they form a type of Armor named Fantasia Floral Armor.

Fantasia Floral Armor, with protective strength and various qualities at only half that of the Floral Armor itself, also lacks the use of Flower Language Ability.

But as the user continues to cultivate the Fantasia Floral Armor with dedication and nurturance, it could eventually reach the level of the complete Floral Armor worn by Li Chengyi.

As for how effective this Fantasia Floral Armor actually is, Li Chengyi was unsure. Everything still needed to be verified.

The Flower Language Ability of the Mother of Heart is a process that takes effect over time, not something that happens instantaneously.

And this method of nurturing with heart made him feel that the Mother of Heart was more like a technique that could be cultivated or a bio-weapon that could grow in concert with the human body.

All effects would ultimately depend on how everyone used them.

After distributing all the Floral Beads, Li Chengyi withdrew his hand and watched as everyone excitedly began to discuss and study their feelings.

"Give everyone a day to adjust, and by tomorrow morning, we’ll head to the target location. Mr. Xindela...."

His gaze turned to the other.

"Although I am injured, I can still play a role within my abilities. If you are comfortable with it, you can leave your company’s affairs to me to manage." Xindela clearly had his role figured out and now offered a suggestion with a smile.

"I agree!" Rainbow Candy was the first to consent. "I’d be worried if it were anyone else, but Mr. Xindela is indeed the most suitable candidate. It’s just a bit of an under-usage of talent."

"I agree too! I don’t want to keep watching you guys move forward from behind," said Da Xiong earnestly. "I’m a Blind Spot Individual as well, and sooner or later I must face the Blind Spot alone. Staying behind without training, I may not hold out much longer."

"Mr. Xindela is indeed trustworthy," Xiao Zhong also nodded.

"I don’t mind, what everyone says goes," Dragon Gate Crane shrugged.

"Then it’s settled," Li Chengyi declared.

Deep into the night.

Everpeace Garden.

Dragon Gate Crane groggily climbed out of bed, fighting off the urge to pee, and groped his way towards the bathroom.

"Damn, drank too much during the day. Wanted to get Sister Tang drunk, and now I’m the one who’s crashed..."

With a helpless expression, he leaned against the wall and sat down on the toilet seat.

Hisss.

The inventory in his stomach rapidly emptied.

Slowly pulling up his pants, Dragon Gate Crane stood up and moved to the washstand to wash his hands.

The automatic faucet spewed water onto his hands.

The cool chill brought his consciousness gradually into clarity.

"Huh? Why do I feel... something’s a bit off?"

He lifted his head to look at himself in the mirror.

He had a nagging suspicion that something was wrong.

He raised his head closer to the mirror.

Closer still.

And closer.

He nearly pressed his entire face against the mirror.

"This isn’t right..."

Dragon Gate Crane was baffled.

The face in the mirror, with its fair complexion, large watery eyes, high bridge nose, and cherry-red lips.

"This isn’t me! This is Sister Tang!"

Dragon Gate Crane finally realized!

The person in the mirror was none other than Sister Tang!

In an instant, a chill ran from his crotch all the way to his crown.

"Sister Tang, stop joking around! I can see you when I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night; you must be playing a prank, right? I’m telling you, this kind of joke is not okay, it can ruin your reputation!!"

He quickly backed away, his face a picture of panic.

And the girl in the mirror also hastily retreated, her face similarly marked with a panicked expression.

"!!?"

Dragon Gate Crane sensed that something was definitely off.

He reached out his hand, grabbed his own face, and gave it a tug.

Yeah, it felt good.

Typical of Sister Tang, such a delightful face.

"Wait a minute! Just because I like Sister Tang doesn’t mean I want to become her!!"

Dragon Gate Crane finally snapped to his senses.

His face filled with horror, he rushed out of the bathroom, his first instinct to run to the full-length mirror in the bedroom.

He thought it was the mirror that was faulty, someone playing a cruel joke on him.

But in the full-length mirror, his reflection still showed Sister Tang’s face. What was more eerie, his body still retained its original shape...

A beautiful girl’s face on the neck of a 1.79-meter-tall man...

"What the hell are you doing making such a ruckus in the middle of the night, Dragon?" Xiao Zhong emerged from the room across the hall, rubbing his eyes.

At a glance.

"Who the hell are you!?" Dragon Gate Crane gawked at the other person.

Cascading over the shoulders were waves of golden hair, pale skin, sky-blue eyes, and a face enchantingly sophisticated; it all belonged to White Star’s famed movie star Milan Endaila.

"It’s me, Xiao Zhong," said the individual sporting the star’s face, blinking. "Sister Tang, what brings you here?"

"That’s not right... Sister Tang, how did you grow so tall overnight?"

"....." Dragon Gate Crane and Xiao Zhong stared at each other, utterly perplexed.

Aahh!!!

Suddenly, a piercing scream came from a bedroom downstairs.

The two of them felt a jolt and rushed downstairs.

Just as they reached the bottom, they saw the door to Rainbow Candy’s resting room open.

A petite girl in a nightgown stood in front of the dressing mirror, gazing blankly at herself.
