I don’t know why, though. I had the money, more than enough even, yet he still took me. I called Zion for help, but it seems he didn’t make it in time." She sighed, feeling a bit sad and frustrated. "I hope my family is okay."

"If it makes you feel any better, he left immediately once he received your call for help. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if he took your family back to his home for the time being. He’s a nice guy once you get over the fact that he’s a noble."

"I’m slowly learning that now." Alice smiled. "What about you? How did you end up here?"

"Don’t know. I was just relaxing in my dorm after having sex- I mean, after hanging out with Zion. Once he left to help you, someone attacked the academy. They broke into my room, fought against me, Aurora, and Zion’s maid Lacey, but ended up beating all of us. Then I work up here."

"I see. It also seems like we aren’t the only victims." Alice pointed out as she motioned to six other people still knocked out on the ground.

"Unfortunate. Well, since we have nothing better to do, why don’t you tell me about yourself? I’m Lidia Brightburn. Nice to meet you."

"Um, I’m pretty sure I know who you are, and outside of our situation, I’m surprised you care enough to get to know me."

Lidia tilted her head. "Why is that?"

"That’s fair, I would feel the same way if I were you." Lidia sat as well. "I wonder how long it will take for Zion to find us?"

Alice raised a brow. "You think he’ll be able to?"

"Heh, do I? That boy will do anything and everything possible to find me, no matter what it takes. It’s not a matter of if but when."

Hearing Lidia talk about Zion like that made her smile. Knowing that she had someone to rely on was definitely comforting. But even then, she still saw Lidia grip her hands tightly as if she didn’t truly believe in her own words, or maybe it was the thought of never seeing him again that ate away at her mind.

"So, what now?" Alice asked

"We wait until those extras wake up and see if they can shed any light on this situation. Until then, let’s talk about what we’re gonna do when you join the family." Lidia grinned

Alice blushed uncontrollably, her face completely red, while steam escaped from her head. "I-I’M NOT JOINING ANY FAMILY!"
