Chapter 102: Chapter 102 - Attack of the Demons Part 2

"Knights! Heed my command! Slay anyone who such as sympathizes with these bastard demons!" Ignis command

"Yes! Ma’am!"

"Mages! Ready your spells! Kill all who wield demonic energy!" Julian ordered

"Yes, Sir!"

"My Royal Army! Protect the citizens! Don’t let these demonic bastards destroy our home!" King Zircon yelled, holding his sword up high.

Every other important official besides the leaders leaped into battle to protect the kingdom.

Anastasia smiled. "Go." She said, ordering the demonic humans and demons who were with her in the air to slay everyone.

"We’ll stay and help you fight!" The leaders of the other kingdoms agreed, talking to Zircon.

"What’s that behind them?" Zaleena asked.

"Something we need to stop right now. It’s a cocoon that can summon a demon from one place to another, bypassing any restriction that would normally prevent inter-realm travel. Judging by the energy it’s giving off, they plan on summoning a very powerful high-ranking demon." Drakoth informed everyone.

"Haha! So we just need to destroy that cocoon! Easy!" Belywin lept into action without a care in the world!

Kaien appeared before him, punching him right across the face and sending him crashing into the stands.

"Heh, a lesser beast dares to stand before me?" Kaien asked, his voice laced with arrogance.

"Suck on this you ugly bastard!" Bromir slammed his massive hammer against Kaien, only for it to be caught by his hand.

"Haha! Nice one, Bromir! We’ll attack him together!" Belwyn yelled, getting back into the action.

"Zircon, help me with that one over there," Melina asked, floating toward Demera.

"With pleasure!" He pulled out dual blades and took a stance.

"Do you mortals have no fear?" Demera asked, her body appearing as if it was shimmering in and out of existence.

"I don’t fear anything," Zircon said with a straight face.

"You will, once I’m finished with you."

"Enough talk. Prepare to die, demon!" Melina shouted as the three of them engaged in battle.

"Anastasia?" Olzak asked

"Fine, but if you fail..."

"I know!" He cut her off. "I’ll make sure to kill that little bastard!"

"Lord Drakoth, my sister and I will handle these two demons! You try and stop that cocoon from hatching!" Zaleena yelled.

He nodded.

"You all can fuck off! The only person I’m interested in is this bastard right here!" Olzak shouted as he blitzed past everyone, grabbing Zion by the throat and slamming him into the ground before launching him up into the air.

"Zion!" Zaleena yelled with worry!

"I’m fine! Handle them! I’ll handle this!" Zion reassured her.

"Think you can handle me?!" he snarled, driving his fist into Zion’s gut and launching him higher into the air, only to rocket after him and slam him back down into the ground.

Zion was barely able to get up when Olzak’s fist was already in his face. But he managed to react quickly, blocking the punch and countering with an uppercut that sent Olzak flying backward into the stadium.

"Nice punch." Olzak complimented

"The fuck do you want with me?" Zion asked

"Seriously? You’re asking that as if YOU weren’t the reason why I died!"

"Please! Sure, I landed the killing blow, but it was my mother who was the reason why you died, so why aren’t you going after her? You scared? Pussy." Zion mocked

"You-!" Olzak pointed with anger.

"Yes, me. Why does everyone say that when they have nothing to say? Just get angry and growl or something."

Olzak paused, shaking his head. "Your feeble power doesn’t frighten me, human. Once I’m done with you, your mother is next."

"Sure." Zion powered up to maximum without holding anything back. "I’ve killed you before, and I’ll kill you again." He took his stance. "Let’s dance, you pathetic excuse of a demon."

"Good!" Olzak transformed into his final state, his bat-like wings and two alligator-like tails growing from his body. His scales darkened, and his horns curved back. "I’ll use your head as a decoration on my wall."

A single heartbeat passed.

Then Olzak moved.

The demon’s black-scaled body blurred, and before Zion could blink, a monstrous fist crashed into his gut.

The impact was so violent that the stadium cracked beneath Zion’s feet. His body arced through the air like a ragdoll, slamming into a stone wall hard enough to crater it.

Zion groaned, staggering forward, only for Olzak to be on him again, relentless, brutal.

A tail smashed into his ribs, wings battered him like a storm, fists like meteors rained down. Zion’s body suit flashed with impacts, but even the Zionite armor couldn’t fully absorb the ferocity behind Olzak’s onslaught.

Zion tried to counterattack, hands sparking with aura-clad flame — but Olzak swatted the fire away like an afterthought and drove a knee into Zion’s jaw, sending him flying across the arena, tearing through stone pillars like paper.

The fight spilled outward.

They shattered through the coliseum walls, and the kingdom itself became their battleground.

Buildings crumbled. Streets split. The sky itself churned with the force of their clashes.

Every time Zion tried to rise, Olzak was there, slamming him down harder. Every punch, every strike, carried the weight of pure hatred — the rage of a demon thirsting for revenge.

At one point, Zion actually managed to duck a strike and fire a blast of mana — only for Olzak’s tail to whip around and slam him into the earth, forming a deep crater.

Zion coughed blood, staggering to his feet, a grin flickering on his bloodied face.

"That’s all you got?" he rasped, spitting blood onto the ground.

Olzak’s red-tinged black scales gleamed as he landed in front of Zion, claws crackling with demonic energy.

"No," the demon growled. "This is."

Before Zion could react, Olzak’s fist shot forward, but this time, it wasn’t just brute force. It was precise, more than a normal strike.

The world exploded into white light.

Pain, unlike anything Zion had ever felt, ripped through him. His mana shrieked inside his veins, buckling and thrashing like a wild animal. His body seized. His heart skipped a beat.

He hit the ground hard, the world spinning.

Olzak casually dusted off his hands.

"Thunder Strike," he said, voice low and vicious.

"Find the spot where your mana’s weakest... hit it at the perfect time, with the perfect force." He crouched beside Zion’s crumpled form, smirking.

"Only a 0.01% chance of pulling it off. But as a demon, our demonic energy can forcefully make gaps in your defenses. So for you, five strikes sounds perfect."

Zion’s golden eyes widened, just as Olzak drove his fist into him again.

White flash.

Again.

Again.

Again.

Each Thunder Strike cracked the earth deeper, sending shockwaves tearing through the streets.

The sky darkened. The city trembled.

Zion’s body convulsed, his mana going haywire. It was Mana Backlash.

For a horrifying moment, he couldn’t even feel his mana. It was like drowning inside his own skin.

But somewhere in the chaos of agony, Zion’s mind sharpened.

He saw it, felt it, the rhythm, the flow, the pinpoint timing.

He planted a hand on the ruined ground and forced himself up, muscles shaking.

A slow grin spread across his bloodied face.

"I understand it now," he said, voice low but clear.

Olzak sneered. "You understand nothing."

Zion cracked his neck, rolling his shoulders. His body flickered with a new kind of energy, a savage precision behind his casual demeanor.

He vanished from sight.

The next thing Olzak knew, Zion’s fist smashed into his jaw, sending him spinning through three buildings.

Zion blurred again, appearing above him mid-flight, slamming a kick into his back that drove him straight through the city gates.
