Chapter 376: Chapter 203: Isn’t it... a bit too revealing?_2
"Oh," Jane Quinlan stepped forward when she saw that the store attendant was now greeting her because she was with him.
Jane thought to herself, how was she inferior that she still needed to rely on that arrogant boy’s presence.
When Kay Forrest went to try on clothes, he handed her his phone and other things: "Hold these."
Jane pouted.
The store clerk suppressed her smile slightly and Jane nodded and smiled back.
Soon, Kay walked out wearing a black and white checkered suit.
Jane was surprised, seeing for the first time a man wearing such flashy clothes so stylishly, he really looked like a clothes rack.
Kay walked in front of the mirror to straighten his collar and looked from side to side.
The store clerk said, "Sir, this suit fits you so well, it’s as if it was tailor-made for you."
Kay ignored her and walked back to the fitting room to try on a second outfit, a burgundy suit.
Just like the first one, he dazzled Jane again.
Jane felt her worldview collapsing a bit.
This man... he couldn’t be a model, could he?
He tried on four different outfits, and she couldn’t even tell which was the best.
After the fourth outfit, Jane stepped forward and asked, "Have you decided? Which one do you want?"
Kay turned his head to look at her, "Which one?"
"Which one doesn’t look good on me?"
Jane thought for a moment: "All are nice."
"Since all are nice, why give any up?" he finished speaking and told the store clerk: "Pack them all."
The clerk’s face was brimming with an enthusiastic smile: "Sure, sir, please wait a moment."
Damn, this man is crazy, Jane shook her head.
She leaned in quietly and asked the store clerk, "How much for these four suits?"
Just as the clerk was about to answer, she saw Kay’s hand suddenly land on her shoulder: "Come on, I’ll buy you a dress."
"I don’t need a dress."
Kay looked at her with disdain; how many women begged him to buy them dresses, this woman was so foolish.
He dragged her to the women’s section: "I don’t like owing favors to people, consider this a thank you for accompanying me shopping and being my driver today. Quickly pick one, don’t waste time."
"I don’t need one, you’re only here in such a sorry state because of me..."
Before she could finish, Kay pointed to a beige dress hanging high up and told the clerk, "Take that down and let her try it."
The clerk nodded and went to get the dress, while Jane looked at Kay, thinking she came here to act like a big spender.
She cautiously approached Kay’s side: "Hey, you aren’t playing me, are you? You won’t make me pay later, right? These clothes must cost thousands, and I didn’t bring that much money."
Kay struggled to suppress a smiling expression and directly pushed her into the fitting room.
The clerk handed over the clothes when Kay quickly yanked off the price tag.
This action was very quick, Jane’s attention wasn’t on him at the time, so she didn’t see it.
When the clerk handed the clothes into the fitting room and she closed the door, her first reaction was to look for the price tag to see how much it cost.
But she searched for a long time and couldn’t find it.
She murmured, "What a shoddy piece of clothing – not even a price on it."
She remembered Fangfang buying a similar type of dress, which was six or seven hundred.
At most six or seven hundred, well, then she might as well try it, especially since she had just gotten out of a breakup and hadn’t treated herself yet.
She gritted her teeth, and decided to try it.
Outside the fitting room, Kay handed his credit card to the clerk: "Pay for the clothes inside together."
"Yes, sir," the clerk went to swipe the card, returning shortly with a machine for him to sign.
"Sir, it’s all done, totaling 370,000."
"Ok, you can go now. Oh, and if that woman later asks how much the dress costs, just tell her, five hundred."
Five hundred... "Uh, okay."
The clerk glanced into the fitting room and suddenly felt a bit envious of that woman.
This woman’s luck was just too good.
The door to the fitting room opened, and Jane stepped out timidly.
She covered her heart with her hand, standing a couple of steps ahead of Kay, somewhat awkwardly, "Is it... a bit too revealing?"
Kay looked at Jane in front of him, unable to suppress a slight curl of his lips.
To say that this little woman had shockingly impressed him would be an exaggeration.
After all, Kay Forrest was a man who had seen countless beauties.
But her current appearance was unquestionably more than just a notch above her previous one.
At the very least, she looked much more pleasing to the eye now.
Indeed, clothes make the man as the saddle makes the horse. This morning when she was on top of him, he already sensed that she had a good figure.
