Chapter 297: Chapter 213 Do You Have the Ability to Bear the Consequences of Making the Secret Public? _2

"This kind of thing tends to be a bit troublesome, but I, Owen Lennon, have yet to encounter a case I can’t win."

Faye Townsend smiled. Confidence is a good thing; it made her feel much more secure.

"What I mean is... wasn’t the startup capital for Walter Hansen’s business originally invested by Sebastian Sheldon?"

Faye Townsend spoke with a slight raise of her brows.

Owen Lennon immediately understood what she meant.

He clicked his tongue twice in admiration, "Faye, your quick thinking is impressive.

This point is indeed worth considering.

If this money were to be returned, then Walter Hansen’s company should belong to his grandmother..."

Faye Townsend smiled and nodded, "That’s exactly the point."

"I need to discuss this matter with Hunter for a bit.

I can’t promise you a quick answer because there will be challenges."

"No worries, I was just mentioning it; I’m not sure if it will help in the future."

The dishes were served, and Owen Lennon had ordered mostly a seafood feast for her.

"Eating seafood won’t make you gain weight, so eat more."

He said, helping her by cutting and peeling the Australian shrimp, then handing it to her.

"Sebastian Sheldon’s main purpose today was to provoke you, wasn’t it?"

"Yes, after divorcing Lucas Warren, she suddenly seems radiant.

She probably forgot how desperately she wanted to marry Lucas Warren back then."

"That’s why it’s said that women can be truly terrifying creatures sometimes."

"And aren’t men terrifying too?"

Faye Townsend shook her head and took a bite of the shrimp. "Now that I think about it, if Lucas Warren comes to disrupt my life as a free man in the future, it gives me a headache."

"If you just ignore him, he can’t really eat you up, can he?"

Mischief shadowed Faye Townsend’s eyes briefly.

He couldn’t eat her up, but he could certainly pressure her.

"Ah, let’s not talk about that couple anymore, just thinking about them gives me a headache."

Owen Lennon shook his head, chuckling. "By the way, have there been any updates about Henry Sullivan lately?"

Faye Townsend shook her head. "No, ever since Isla got married, he seems to have vanished from existence.

I’ve called his unit many times, but the response has always been that he’s stationed at the grassroots level.

They simply refuse to disclose Brother Henry’s whereabouts."

"The kid probably wants some peace and quiet on his own, but it’s been so long, he really can hold his composure."

"He’s not just holding his composure; he needs time to calm himself.

He searched for Isla for so long but ended up like this in the end.

Anyone would find that unbearable.

Brother Henry is surely in a lot of pain right now, which is probably why he’s chosen to torment himself in this way."

Thinking of Henry Sullivan made Faye Townsend’s heart ache intermittently.

She had always regretted not keeping Isla’s news to herself back then.

If he didn’t know, he would still be out there searching for Isla.

At least that way, he’d have a glimmer of hope and expectation in life.

But now, it seems she crushed his dreams, forcing him to face these awful realities.

Isla became someone else’s bride, and she could never return to his side again.

Faye Townsend put down her chopsticks after eating a few bites. "Forget it, I don’t really have an appetite today.

With my current state, eating would really waste these meals."

"Had I known, I wouldn’t have mentioned Henry, didn’t mean to affect your mood."

Faye Townsend pursed her lips with a small laugh, "Not at all, it’s just that I miss him a bit.

Besides, I truly don’t have an appetite today."

She wiped her mouth and stood up. "I’m done. I’m heading home now.

Later, make sure to tell Hunter that I ate a lot, okay?"

"Alright then, let’s go, I’ll walk you out." Owen Lennon stood up as well.

"Oh no, I’ll go on my own. Just get me a driver, it saves you the hassle of going back and forth."

Owen Lennon thought for a moment. "Alright then, Hunter did tell me to come back early tonight, I still have some work I haven’t finished. In that case, I won’t see you home, but I’ll walk you to the door."

"That’s fine."

Faye Townsend walked out with him, and by half-past six, more and more people were in the bar.

Halfway through, Owen Lennon looked towards a corner and shook his head, "Tsk, look, Oliver Turner is here again."

Hearing the name Oliver Turner made Faye Townsend instinctively turn her head to look.

Upon seeing Oliver Turner, Faye Townsend could hardly believe her eyes. Was this really the Oliver Turner she knew to be steady and reliable?

She stared at Oliver Turner, while Owen Lennon remarked beside her, "Director Turner has been coming here to drown his sorrows quite often lately.

He used to come occasionally, but never in this sort of state.

It’s as if he’s bewitched or something.

I heard from Hunter that you have a good relationship with him; what’s going on with him?"
