Chapter 288: Chapter 210 The Blood Relationship between Luna Fisher and Clara (1 Update)_3
"Will he take the bait obediently?"
He held her in his arms, "Don’t be too nervous. This matter isn’t as complicated as you think.
To handle Walter Hansen, we first need to destroy everything he possesses.
Go back and tell Richard Townsend not to get too emotional.
I’ve arranged everything. Tell him to stay calm, not to startle the snake, and certainly not to say anything reckless."
Faye Townsend closed her eyes, breathed out, and nodded.
Indeed, now is not the time to panic. Since Hunter Warren has his plan, and it doesn’t allow her participation, she would just wait for his good news.
Under Hunter Warren’s reassurance, she first returned to the company to find Richard Townsend.
Having heard that Walter Hansen was back, Richard Townsend initially was very agitated, insisting on dragging that bastard to the police station.
Faye Townsend couldn’t hold him back no matter how hard she tried, so in the end, she could only call Eliana Brooke at the door to come in and help restrain him from going out.
It was Eliana Brooke’s words that eventually persuaded Richard Townsend.
Listening to Eliana Brooke reason with Richard Townsend, who then sat calmly and listened to everything,
Faye Townsend was genuinely surprised.
When did Richard Townsend ever listen to anyone so nicely?
Indeed, Eliana Brooke seemed to have a trick up her sleeve, as she unknowingly managed to reign Richard Townsend in.
In the afternoon, after Hunter Warren finished meeting with Walter Hansen, he called Faye Townsend.
He knew Faye Townsend had been thinking about this matter, so he naturally called her first to put her mind at ease.
"What did you two talk about today?"
"He was very curious about why I would get involved with his company affairs.
I said I wanted to tap into the Malaysian market, and he was the best stepping stone.
My purpose was simple, to collaborate with him.
And I particularly mentioned that we are sort of acquaintances.
I even brought up the previous misunderstanding between him and Richard Townsend.
Being frank, he wouldn’t suspect much."
Faye Townsend clenched her fists, "So, did he agree? To work with you?"
"It seems there’s no reason not to agree."
Faye Townsend breathed a sigh of relief, "So, you settled him?"
Hunter Warren smiled, "I invited him to our place tonight. You need to act composed and don’t reveal any flaws."
"Tonight?" Faye Townsend bit her lip, "Did he agree?"
"I will become his biggest financial backer in Anchester; he doesn’t dare not agree."
Faye Townsend laughed speechlessly, wondering if this was considered bullying with intelligence.
In the evening, Faye Townsend returned home early, arranging for Uncle Rivers to take Darnley and Miya to Hunter Warren’s place next door.
Since a ’high-profile guest’ was coming, she naturally had to be well-prepared.
By the time Hunter Warren got home around half-past six, the dining table was already laden with dishes.
Seeing her happily commanding in the kitchen, Hunter Warren didn’t interrupt her.
After going upstairs to change clothes and coming back down, the doorbell soon rang.
Walter Hansen had arrived.
Hunter Warren and Faye Townsend personally went to greet him. Walter Hansen’s driver didn’t enter; he came in alone carrying a gift.
Seeing Faye Townsend in a pink short dress, he was momentarily reminded of her youthful appearance.
At that time, her room was all decorated like a pink princess’s.
"Walter, it’s been a long time."
Faye Townsend linked her arm with Hunter Warren’s, smiling lightly at him.
Walter Hansen pursed his lips looking at her, "Yes, since we last met in Malaysia, some time has indeed passed."
"Knowing you two are old acquaintances, but let’s not stand here chatting; come, let’s go inside."
The two invited Walter Hansen into the house.
Looking around, Walter Hansen curiously asked, "I heard you have adorable twin children; why haven’t I seen them?"
Faye Townsend smiled softly, "Those two are quite busy now, busier than both Hunter and me.
They go to kindergarten during the day and have after-school classes in the evening.
Tonight they have piano lessons that won’t end until ten."
Walter Hansen raised the gift in his hand, "I wasn’t sure what they liked, so I just randomly picked some toys that kids like nowadays."
Faye Townsend took the toys, pleasantly surprised, "Walter, your random choice is spot on. This Barbie doll is my daughter’s favorite.
She will surely be thrilled to see this tonight."
"That’s just great."
Faye Townsend handed the two boxes of toys to the servant and pointed at the dining table, "Look, I prepared a table full of dishes, especially for you."
Walter Hansen looked at her, "Am I being a bother?"
"Not at all, absolutely not."
Hunter Warren remarked to Walter Hansen, "Knowing you were coming, Faye was so excited she came home at four to start arranging dinner."
Faye Townsend pouted playfully at Hunter Warren, "Walter is having dinner with me for the first time in ten years — how can I not be excited?
Come on, Walter, have a seat. Your timing couldn’t be more perfect; the food’s just ready."
Walter Hansen walked to the dining table, eyeing the full spread of dishes, frowning slightly.
Faye Townsend looked at him curiously, "What’s wrong? Why not sit?"
"Huh? It’s nothing, just... it’s been a long time since I’ve had such a sumptuous home-cooked Eldorian meal; I feel a bit moved, thank you, Faye."
"Oh, you’re so polite with me now.
We did have some unpleasantness last time in Malaysia, and after such a long reunion, we didn’t even get to have a meal together."
Hunter Warren arranged for the three of them to sit down, and the servant poured a small glass of wine for each of them.
He led the toast, "Truly, meeting across a thousand miles is fate — who would’ve thought we’d reunite after all these years? Let’s drink to that as a welcome."
Hunter Warren and Walter Hansen clinked glasses and drank, but Faye Townsend didn’t move.
As Walter Hansen drank, her gaze grew deeper and colder, and her eyes were filled with a chilling intent.
