Chapter 1159: Chapter 1159: Seeing Through (Congratulations to Alliance Leader Hongyun Feihu)

Feng Jun turned around and leisurely started walking toward the direction of the county town. With so little happening back in the Earth Realm, he needed to kill some time here on this side.

Otherwise, it would raise unnecessary suspicions if, in just the blink of an eye, he managed to bring an Intermediate Level cultivator of the Dust-Free Stage to the brink of death—there were only so many methods that could produce such a devastating effect.

If someone figured out that it was caused by Weimian’s Force, it would put him in an extremely vulnerable position.

Feng Jun wandered around the county town for a while. It wasn’t until the sky was almost dark that he hurriedly returned to Mount Zhige.

Nangong Youjiu had been waiting for him to come back. Seeing Feng Jun appear alone, Nangong couldn’t help but ask, "Where’s Master Fu?"

Feng Jun tilted his head and gave him a strange look. "I had him handle something for me... What? Do you have any objections?"

Upon hearing this, Nangong Youjiu immediately clammed up. At the moment, there was no point in bringing up his status as a Golden Core Family member—useless. After all, he was merely one of Feng Jun’s experimental subjects.

Feng Jun rested for the night. The next day, he once again entered the depths of Mount Zhige.

Finding a secluded spot, he exited the mobile phone realm, and before his eyes reappeared the unconscious Master Yang.

Initially, Feng Jun’s plan had been to allow Master Yang to recover in the Earth Realm. He had even gone as far as Chaoyang to keep away from prying eyes.

However, when it came to the actual execution, he realized—it was simply impossible to leave a Dust-Free Stage cultivator, especially an Intermediate Level one, on Earth. Even the slightest negligence could lead him to endless regret.

As a result, he borrowed a Dust-Free Stage Spirit Beast Bag from Kong Ziyi. Now, with just a flick of his hand, the unconscious Master Yang was sealed inside the bag.

Just as he finished storing him away, he heard a startled gasp behind him.

Turning his head, he saw Zhang Caixin covering her mouth, her wide eyes filled with astonishment as she looked at him.

Feng Jun smiled at her. "What is it? What did you see?"

"I saw someone... being put into the Spirit Beast Bag," Zhang Caixin blinked her large eyes. "He looked like a man in ancient robes with long hair, still alive, and I could feel spiritual energy fluctuations from him..."

"Alright, alright," Feng Jun waved with a smile. "You’re very observant, I know that. No need to show off so much, though."

Zhang Caixin smiled proudly, then suddenly asked with a more serious expression, "What do you plan to do with that person?"

"Testing a few things," Feng Jun answered casually. "Alright, Teacher Mei, no need to keep hiding now."

Feng Jing walked out of the room and stared at the Spirit Beast Bag in his hand, dazed. "Is that... another Spirit Beast Bag?"

"That’s right," Feng Jun said with a smile, inwardly marveling at Teacher Mei’s acute spatial awareness. "It’s a Dust-Free Stage Spirit Beast Bag, used for storing cultivators of the Dust-Free Stage."

Feng Jing nodded silently, while Zhang Caixin gasped audibly. "That person earlier... was a Dust-Free Stage cultivator?"

"Yes," Feng Jun nodded impassively once again. "Intermediate Level."

"Intermediate Level... Dust-Free Stage?" Zhang Caixin’s gaze grew unfocused. Then she glanced sideways to see that Teacher Mei’s expression was unperturbed. Surprised, she asked, "Sister Mei... aren’t you shocked?"

"Not shocked," Feng Jing shook her head and replied flatly. "Why does Luohua have more resources than other Daoist Sects? Because every bit of it was fought for with Elder Feng’s life. Dust-Free Stage cultivators? He’s killed more than one."

Zhang Caixin fell silent, unable to process the revelation that Luohua’s smooth success was built on such perilous struggles. Wasn’t Feng Jun the only Dust-Free Stage cultivator in the world?

She had always aspired to become the second Dust-Free Stage cultivator in the world. If possible, she even wanted to surpass him and become the top cultivator among Daoist Sects. But now, hearing that Feng Jun had already killed multiple Dust-Free Stage cultivators, and that the man who had just been put into the Spirit Beast Bag was an Intermediate Level one—it was too much for her to digest at once.

If I surpass him, would I also have to shoulder the corresponding responsibilities and obligations?

Zhang Caixin silently wished that Teacher Mei was just making things up, but her rational mind told her otherwise.

Elder Feng occasionally cracked a joke, but Director Mei rarely did. The two of them joking together? They weren’t that bored!

After a long while, she snapped out of her trance and instinctively asked, "Where do these people come from?"

Feng Jing remained silent, so Feng Jun answered, "Your main focus right now should be on cultivation. Don’t let irrelevant matters disturb your Dao Heart. When the time comes for you to know, you’ll naturally find out."

Zhang Caixin rolled her eyes at him, then turned toward Feng Jing. "Sister Mei, you and my sister have been there, haven’t you?"

Director Mei hesitated briefly before nodding. "It’s a very dangerous place. Elder Feng doesn’t want you to know too much, and it’s for your own good."

"How dangerous?" Zhang Caixin couldn’t help but feel a surge of defiance. If you two could go, why couldn’t I?

However, recalling Feng Jun’s phrasing, she did her best to calm herself. "What’s the highest cultivation level there?"

After a moment of hesitation, Teacher Mei answered truthfully, "The highest I’ve encountered... would be a Golden Core Master."

Golden Core Master... Zhang Caixin’s large eyes narrowed slightly. After a long pause, she sighed softly. "I thought I was doing pretty well, but it turns out Brother Jun has always been shielding us from the storm."

Feng Jun shook his head. The reason he revealed even this much was that Xiao Caixin had been acting a bit overconfident lately. Being the second strongest fighter in Luohua, a dose of reality would be beneficial for both her and the sect.

So, he added, "Keep this to yourself. Don’t mention it to anyone. I just want you to understand the weight of your responsibilities."

This kind of talk—when responsibilities were laid on her shoulders—was always Zhang Caixin’s favorite and this situation was no different. She tightened her expression and nodded earnestly. "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure none of them feel any of the pressure."

Seeing her reaction, Teacher Mei couldn’t help but chuckle softly, earning a slightly resentful glare from Zhang Caixin.

"Alright," said Feng Jun, patting her on the shoulder as he handed her the Spirit Beast Bag. Not wanting to hurt Xiao Caixin’s pride, he said, "Come with me for a bit."

Once out of the courtyard, the two entered a wooded area. When Feng Jun was sure there were no prying eyes around, he put an arm around Feng Jing and resolutely entered the mobile phone realm.

The two appeared back on Mount Zhige. Being an experienced traveler, Feng Jing quickly recognized her surroundings and found the location suitably desolate. She softly complained, "Xiao Caixin’s getting a bit full of herself."

"That’s normal," Feng Jun replied with a chuckle. "At her age, having some justice and responsibility is a good thing. Besides, her path has been rather smooth so far. That’s what an idealistic young person should be like."

As he spoke, he took the Spirit Beast Bag from her, dropped it on the ground, and smiled.

Feng Jing sighed lightly, knowing she was about to be sent back. She couldn’t help but plead softly, "Let me stay a while longer, okay?"

Feng Jun gave a bitter smile and answered in a low voice, "It’s really inconvenient."

Feng Jing’s eyes locked onto his as she licked her crimson lips with the tip of her tongue and spoke huskily, "Fine, I promised Sister Hong. But... it’s just yoga. Don’t you want to reconsider, boy?"

She had been working with Sister Hong for a long time, and they didn’t get many opportunities to spend time alone with him.

Feng Jun’s heart raced inexplicably, but ultimately, he lowered his voice and said, "Forget it. That person is still here, and if she finds out you came back midway, it’ll create trouble."

Understanding the situation, especially with a terrifying Golden Core cultivator residing at the foot of Mount Zhige, Feng Jing sighed longingly.

After returning Feng Jing, Feng Jun grabbed the Spirit Beast Bag, ascended into the air, and shot like an arrow beyond the manor grounds.

Nangong Youjiu had been endlessly trying to find out where Master Fu had gone. When he saw someone flying from Mount Zhige, he didn’t have to guess who it was. But although Feng Jun didn’t like him, the feeling was mutual. Nangong simply observed without a word to see where he was headed.

Feng Jun, unwilling to cause a public spectacle in the Mortal Realm, quickly descended after leaving the mountain gate, flying close to the ground instead.

Flying around thirty miles, he found a pavilion on a mountainside and landed to take a rest.

Then, with a motion, he released Master Fu from the Spirit Beast Bag. Seeing that he was still unconscious, Feng Jun activated a Spirit Restoration Array.

Nangong Youjiu dared not use his Divine Sense to monitor Feng Jun, but the unmasked presence of intense spiritual energy fluctuations within the Mortal Realm soon caught his attention.

He decided not to go himself but sent two Qi Refinement Realm subordinates. "You two, go and see what’s happening over there."

The pavilion had excellent visibility, which also meant it was in clear view from lower down the mountain.

When the two subordinates caught sight of what was happening, genuine fear overcame them, and they ran back in a panic to report to Nangong Youjiu that Feng Jun and Master Fu were in the pavilion—but it seemed that Master Fu was dead.

Thankfully, Nangong Youjiu had enough wits to reason that such intense spiritual energy fluctuations could only mean that Feng Jun was doing something purposeful. If Master Fu were truly dead, would he make such a spectacle?

Thus, he immediately approached Bai Li and presented two talismans, asking him to accompany him as a witness.

Bai Li, hearing that he only needed to bear witness and wouldn’t have to lift a hand, agreed without issue, but decided to also call in Huang Fu.

Yes, now Huang Fu Wuxia was formally referred to as Huang Fu.

When the three of them mobilized, even Master Sumiao, quietly residing in her humble quarters within Mount Zhige, noticed.

Typically, she wouldn’t actively monitor the surroundings from her spot. Otherwise, nothing within a hundred miles would escape her senses.

This time, as her Divine Sense spread outward, she quickly discerned what was happening. "Oh? Interesting... So he’s started experimenting already?"

She had no interest in joining the crowd to watch—out of respect for Mountain Master Feng.

Every sect had its own unique secret techniques. She only needed to know the results.

When Huang Fu Wuxia and the other two arrived at the pavilion, Master Fu had yet to regain consciousness, but his body was starting to show some reactions—proof of the impressive resilience of an Intermediate Level Dust-Free Stage cultivator.

The three arriving cultivators of the Dust-Free Stage weren’t ones to overlook details. Though Huang Fu Wuxia had only recently advanced to this stage, she had the Treasure-Appraising Eye to aid her.

Seeing Master Fu’s body showing some responsiveness, all three of them relaxed simultaneously—at least no one had died.

Feng Jun, however, lifted his gaze to them and glared fiercely, his tone icy. "What do you want?"
