Chapter 465: God vs Leviathan Lord (II)

The clash between the God and the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord grew even more explosive as the battle continued, the man and the monster seeming to feed off each other’s immense power. With every collision of blade and claw, their brute strength soared to new heights, producing kinetic blasts that spread around them in violent waves.

Rocks and debris shot into the air while the very ground beneath their feet fractured and split open in jagged lines. It became impossible for anyone below the High Champion Realm to get anywhere near their duel, as the forces unleashed threatened to tear weaker beings apart from sheer pressure alone.

"ARGGHHHHH!" A scream of utter rage erupted from the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord’s throat, the sound reverberating through the battlefield. Its massive body trembled, veins bulging, and a sudden surge of power burst from its chest as if it were triggering some hidden reservoir of strength.

The God’s eyes remained closed, yet a faint frown appeared on his otherwise serene face. The slight change in his expression revealed that he sensed something had shifted. He detected a massive chemical reaction within the monster’s body.

In response to this internal shift, the arms of the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord began to bulge alarmingly, growing even larger and more muscular. Their power, already overwhelming, now ascended to a higher threshold, surpassing what it had shown before. The flesh and muscle of those limbs took on a dark, metallic sheen as if they had transformed into living metal. Realizing the danger, the God stepped several paces back, narrowly avoiding the monstrous arms as they hammered down upon the ground. Each strike hit with such force that massive craters formed on impact, scattering dust and stone in colossal plumes.

Freya, Grand Marshal Anglius, King Viserin, and all the other powerhouses on the battlefield took in this horrifying display. They watched the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord’s brute force spiked to unimaginable levels. Solemn expressions adorned their faces.

Even Freya, whose pride and determination had carried her through countless hardships, felt a bitter twinge. The Leviathan Lord had held back some of its trump cards against her. She recognized that this newfound transformation was not something the creature could have triggered without cost. Yet it still stung her pride to know she had not forced the monster to show its full hand.

"Hmph." A sneer passed Freya’s lips. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, she allowed her rage to fuel her further. She dashed forward with ferocious vitality, obliterating every Levithan in her path. She crushed them underfoot, cleaved their bodies with whatever weapon lay at hand, and reduced them to nothing. Her relentless fury served as a rallying cry. Seeing Freya fighting on, despite the monstrous power displayed by the Leviathan Lord, emboldened the human forces. If the Viking princess could continue, they had no excuse to falter now.

Confusion and awe at the Leviathan Lord’s transformation faded. The humans threw themselves into the slaughter with renewed purpose, tearing through drones, aerial units, and insect-humanoid hybrids. Sword and spear, spell and fire, muscle and will—everything combined to produce a symphony of destruction that dwarfed their earlier efforts. If the Leviathan Lord grew stronger, so did their determination to eradicate every Levithan in sight.

Meanwhile, the God continued to dodge the metallic claws of the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord. The barrage forced him to yield ground. He moved swiftly and gracefully, yet he found himself retreating from the storm of blows. Sparks flew as occasional glancing strikes chipped at his defense. The pressure became so intense that cuts appeared on his body, golden blood seeping from these wounds. He needed to break free from the defensive and take the offensive. Yet the onslaught was unrelenting, leaving him no easy opening.

The Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord’s bloodthirsty grin widened when it noticed the God’s predicament. It drove the God back and back until he stood before a massive mountain of shattered rock. The natural barrier behind him cut off the escape route. Any attempt to jump into the air would expose the God to a barrage of lethal strikes. It seemed the Leviathan Lord had cornered its prey, leaving no avenue for retreat. The looming threat of death intensified. The hive mind, lurking behind the Leviathan’s instincts, sensed victory at hand.

Freya and the other humans watched with bated breath. The God who had saved their champion and instilled new hope in the battle now found himself trapped. If he fell, what chance did they have against this enhanced monstrosity?

"SHRIKKK!" A shriek of bloodlust and savage joy escaped the Leviathan Lord’s maw. It savored the moment, confident it would crush the God against unyielding stone. But then, just as he was about to be crushed to a pulp, the God opened his eyes.

Those eyes were unlike anything seen before: no iris, no pupil, no whites, just endless streams of something resembling computer code, cascading and shifting. In that instant, it was as if the world had slowed down. The Leviathan Lord’s confusion flickered through its savage mind, but it would not hesitate. The hive mind demanded action, and the monstrous arms continued their deadly arcs, all converging on the God’s position.

Now the God moved. He dashed forward, displaying skill and dexterity that seemed truly divine. He weaved through the lethal strikes as though he could predict their trajectories before the Leviathan Lord had even begun its swings. Each claw missed him by millimeters, each crushing blow falling on empty air. He slipped between arms and dodged every attack, always just outside the monster’s reach, like a phantom dancing through a storm of blades.

Within moments, the God stood directly before the stunned Leviathan Lord. Trapped between its own arms and the unbreakable calm of its foe, the creature could not comprehend how he had reversed the situation. Before it could recoil, the God unleashed his Divine Force. Concentrating all his energy into the sword, it shone like a miniature sun, brilliant and blinding. He began to slash at a shocking speed, faster than thought, leaving deep and large lacerations all over the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord’s body.

"AHHHHHH!" The Leviathan Lord howled in agony. The sword strikes sliced through its armor as though it were mere paper. The God targeted the creature’s weakened joints and cracked plating. A few heartbeats later, three of the Leviathan Lord’s mighty arms lay severed, flopping uselessly to the ground. Blackish blood gushed from the stumps, painting the terrain in grisly hues.

As soon as the sword barrage ended, the Multi-Arm Leviathan Lord, wounded and disarmed—both figuratively and literally—did not even consider continuing the fight. Realizing victory had slipped through its claws, the hive mind commanded the creature to flee. Without any thought of vengeance or dignity, it dropped into a crawling stance and launched itself away at shocking speed. It moved so fast that it created a gust of wind behind it, trying to vanish into the distance before the God or any human could finish it off.
