Chapter 282: Warzone (II)

While the front and middle of the battlefield became a blood-soaked arena of endless slaughter, where demonic beasts fell at a staggering rate, the true spectacle unfolded at the rear, where the thousand demon Champions clashed with the elite forces of the Xaos Kingdom.

These demon Champions were ferocious and powerful, their strength immense, enough to overrun entire cities or threaten entire nations. Yet, they were no match for the warriors who met them head-on.

At the forefront of this battle stood Freya, the viking princess, a storm of destruction incarnate. Each swing of her massive mace sent demon Champions flying like ragdolls, unable to withstand her raw power.

Freya was a High Champion in the Totemic Path of Power, and thanks to the infusion of Origin Force, her Level had risen significantly in the last few months. She moved with precision and speed, her martial prowess on full display. The ground trembled beneath her every strike, and the air hummed with the energy she unleashed.

When a demon attempted to flank her, Freya’s body twisted with cat-like reflexes, dodging the attack with grace. Using the momentum of her evasion, she spun on her heel, her mace trailing with totemic energy as it crashed against the demon’s skull, shattering it in an explosion of bone and flesh.

She never lost her rhythm, transitioning seamlessly from one attack to the next, all while channeling her Force to enhance her speed and power. Her battle skills were honed to perfection, and her movements were like a storm of violence, showcasing her superb martial prowess and brute strength.

However, even Freya’s overwhelming might and martial skill would have struggled to handle the onslaught of thousands of demon Champions alone. But she wasn’t alone. Fighting by her side was Ouroboros, whose power matched hers.

The Depravita of Greed was a blur of shadows and speed, his body engulfed in the dark energy of the demon soul caged within his heart. The A.I. Chip guided his every move, scanning the battlefield and allowing him to cover Freya’s blind spots. His speed and reflexes were beyond the comprehension of the demon Champions, who could barely track him as he darted among them.

Every strike Ouroboros delivered was precise, a deadly blend of martial arts and animalistic ferocity. He fought with his entire body—his fists delivering crushing blows, his claws ripping through demon flesh, and his legs launching devastating kicks that shattered bones. One moment, his fist caved in a demon’s chest, the next, his claws tore through another’s throat, and a savage kick blasted yet another to pieces. He fought like a predator, swift and unrelenting, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

The duo pushed their strength to the limit, their energy surging without pause. Normally, such an intense state would exhaust them within minutes, but the constant infusion of Origin Force from every kill allowed them to fight endlessly.

While Freya and Ouroboros led the charge, the battle behind them was no less fierce. Clasius, Mirena, Frank, Roman, and Amara fought with overwhelming ferocity and perfect coordination. Their battle formation was impeccable, born from deep trust and camaraderie forged through dozens of life-and-death encounters.

Clasius, the towering warrior, formed the first layer of the defense. After activating his Demon Master Ability, his body had grown to nearly three meters tall, his draconic scales gleaming in the dim light, granting him near-impenetrable defense. Every time a demon lunged at him, Clasius used his Gift to accelerate the speed of his shield by reducing its weight, blocking attacks with overwhelming force before retaliating with his sword, cleaving through the demons with ease. His sheer size and strength made him a walking fortress, his blows devastating.

Roman, with his demonic eagle wings unfurled, rained down arrows with unerring precision, his shots never missing their mark. Any demon that dared to approach was met with a volley of arrows that pierced their eyes, throats, or vital points.

When the demons got too close, Roman used his Gift to summon powerful gales with his wings, sending attackers flying backward. And even when that wasn’t enough, Roman would use his fists and legs to push them away, demonstrating that, though an archer, he was also a Warrior with a Devil Champion Bloodline.

After activating her Demon Master Ability, Amara resembled a living shadow, her movements almost invisible to the naked eye. No attack could touch her as she weaved through the battle formation, her daggers finding the hearts of demons with surgical precision.

The three warriors of the Royal Guards held strong, forming a circle and keeping the demon Champions at bay, allowing their spellcasters to strike with all their power.

Behind them, Frank and Mirena held the center, their power adding a devastating layer of offense to the group’s formation. Frank’s volcanic arms shot dozens of fireballs every second, keeping the demon Champions at bay with a relentless barrage of molten death. His arms glowed with fiery intensity, and every fireball exploded on impact, reducing demons to ash.

At the heart of the formation, Mirena controlled her metallic drills infused with dark lightning. With a wave of her hand, the drills surged forward, spinning through the air with terrifying speed, tearing through demon flesh as if it were paper. Each drill carried enough force to rip apart a demon Champion, leaving nothing but twisted, smoking remains in its path.

The combination of Frank’s firepower and Mirena’s precision strikes created a killing zone that no demon could cross.

The Royal Guards’ battle formation was a marvel to behold, born from years of battle experience and deep trust in one another. Clasius, Roman, and Amara formed the outer layer, protecting Frank and Mirena as they unleashed their overwhelming attacks from within. Every member of the formation trusted the others with their lives, and that trust was what made them so deadly.

It was an extremely exhausting process, but the massive waves of Origin Force allowed the Royal Guards to continue fighting. They used all their strength to kill demon Champions at an impressive speed.
