In the aftermath of the apocalypse, the scene in Trigun City had dramatically shifted. The entrance to the largest and most impressive underground cave was now infested with demonic beasts. Despite numbering only a little more than four hundred—a relatively small horde—their overwhelming power made them a formidable presence.

These demonic beasts were enormous, their hulking forms dwarfing normal creatures. Among them were over twenty Champion demons, a staggering number considering the difficulty for ordinary demonic beasts to ascend beyond Level 5.

The demonic beasts frequently traveled down the passage leading to the underground cave, only to emerge hours later, their bodies brimming with newfound energy. The demon Champions, in particular, took turns guarding the entrance, maintaining a constant vigilance as if they were protecting a critical treasure.

It was the middle of the day as the pack of Champion demons on the surface went down the road, and it was just a matter of minutes before the other group would rise. However, right at that moment, a barrage of fireballs emerged from the broken buildings, striking the path that led to the surface, causing a massive explosion that blocked it.

The hundreds of demons were shocked by the massive explosion that sealed the underground access and trapped the demon Champions. Their eyes quickly turned toward the source of the blast, where they saw hundreds of figures emerging, all glowing with a radiant aura full of killing intent, marching forward without hesitation.

The demon horde, though initially stunned, quickly regained their ferocity and roared as they advanced. The humans were powerful, but so were they, and in a head-on clash, they believed they could kill many.

However, it was at that point that nineteen of those figures accelerated, leaving the rest of the human forces behind. Their bodies glowed with Runic Sets, and a monstrous bloodline force at the Champion Tier emanated from their flesh and blood.

The 19 Bloodline Soldiers had been entrenched in Trigun City for nearly two months, leading hundreds of soldiers into battle and killing tens of thousands of demons. Following the guidance of Overlord, they channeled their Origin Force into their bloodlines, evolving their Mortal Tier Devil Bloodline into the Champion Tier. This evolution granted them powerful Bloodline Abilities and a substantial boost to their physical power.

At the forefront were the Warriors among the 19 Bloodline Soldiers. Their immense power sent oversized demonic beasts flying with broken bodies with every strike. They maintained a tight formation, ensuring no flank or weakness, demonstrating power and teamwork that could only result from immense trust and rigorous training.

As they charged, the Warriors used a combination of brute force and tactical precision. They would form spearhead formations, breaking through the demon ranks with synchronized strikes. Some used their Bloodline Abilities to enhance their weapons, creating blades of energy that cleaved through demonic flesh effortlessly. Others employed defensive maneuvers, using their shields to protect their comrades while delivering devastating counterattacks.

Immediately after the Warriors opened a path, the Mages within the group unleashed their powerful spells. Despite the danger of casting spells from such close quarters, their armors and Runic Sets provided the necessary protection. The Mages conjured a variety of elemental spells, from fiery infernos to bolts of lightning, blasting demons in all directions and creating chaos and mayhem.

The coordinated assault by the 19 Bloodline Soldiers shattered the horde’s momentum, plunging them into confusion and shock. The demons’ feral instincts clashed with the disciplined and relentless assault of the human warriors, making them easy prey for the over two hundred soldiers charging with all their strength from the rear.

A bloody carnage took place as the 19 Bloodline Soldiers and the rest of their troops massacred the demonic beasts, attacking with all their power, using the Origin Force that emanated from their enemies to enhance themselves mid-battle.

"BOOOOMMMMM!"

A massive explosion occurred suddenly as the underground passage opened again, allowing nearly two dozen demon Champions to emerge.

The demon Champions’ eyes glowed with rage and killing intent as they saw the humans massacring their forces, and they roared as they marched forward with overwhelming force. They were ready to rip them apart and eat their flesh.

However, before those powerful demons could reach the normal soldiers, the 19 Bloodline Soldiers marched forward, intercepting their path. Their eyes glowed as their power grew, and they attacked with all their strength.

The battlefield rose to the next level as the 19 Bloodline Soldiers clashed with the demon Champions. Although the demons had higher numbers, they lacked true teamwork, so immediately the balance of the fight tipped to the human side.

The battle carried on for nearly half an hour before silence finally reigned. The 19 Bloodline Soldiers were exhausted, but there were wide smiles on their faces as they looked around, seeing their soldiers standing while the demonic beasts were all dead.

It was no surprise that the forces of the Xaos Kingdom won. They were individually more powerful, knew how to use tactics and teamwork, and with every enemy they killed, Origin Force would enter their bodies and make them stronger.

"Alpha, with me. Bravo, secure the position and analyze the state of our soldiers." A young man with brown hair and golden eyes spoke to the group, immediately dividing the 19 Bloodline Soldiers into two sides.

Seeing his comrades nod, the golden-eyed young man guided the Alpha unit into the underground cave. Killing the demonic horde was important, but figuring out what was inside the underground cave was even more crucial, as it could contain a treasure that could enhance them.
