Chapter 203: Large deployment (II)

For the last few days, the entire Silent Wind Military Base burst with activity as soldiers prepared for a large-scale deployment. Finally, the day came, and three massive battalions marched out of the base, each displaying an imposing might that reflected their crucial missions.

Grand Marshal Anglius, a colossal figure nearly four meters tall, led the largest battalion. Clad in resplendent golden armor, with a shield on his back and a formidable machete in his right hand, Anglius’s aura was imposing.

He led a battalion of nearly six hundred battle-hardened Warriors and Mages, averaging Level 3. The battalion moved with synchronized precision, its footsteps echoing like thunder. This force’s sheer size and disciplined formation exuded an aura of invincibility.

Their destination was Canvas City, the closest city to the Silent Wind Military Base and one of the most populated in Constantine Country. Their mission was to secure the largest town, rescue any survivors, and fortify it as a stronghold against potential threats.

The mission was the most time-consuming and required a massive military presence, which was why the battalion carried so many soldiers. It was meant to guide the city’s inhabitants while asserting the might of the Xaos Kingdom.

The second battalion, a force of two hundred and fifty elite warriors, was led by nineteen soldiers in ominous black armor. Their bodies exuded a formidable bloodline aura, and runic lines etched into their skin glowed with an eerie light.

19 Bloodline Soldiers were no longer just words but a title given to the elite troop. Their eyes were sharp as they guided their forces, each step resonating with power and purpose.

Their mission was to penetrate Trigun City, the former epicenter of the high demonic horde led by Arasbus. The number of survivors there was expected to be minimal, and the primary objective was to eliminate any remaining threats, gather valuable materials, and kill alien life forms to gain Origin Force, enhancing their own power. The battalion’s deadly efficiency promised to cleanse the city of any lingering dangers.

The final force, though the smallest with only sixty soldiers, radiated an overwhelming presence. This battalion was a force to be reckoned with, led by five warriors in radiant golden armor, each exuding a brilliant bloodline force, and accompanied by a massive two-meter-tall white wolf.

The soldiers following the Royal Guards and the Depravita of Greed were handpicked by Overlord for their immense potential and strength, just below the 19 Bloodline Soldiers in power. Their armor gleamed under the sun, a symbol of the Xaos Kingdom’s elite forces.

Their destination was Knight City, the farthest from the Silent Wind Military Base. According to soldiers’ reports, that city was a nightmare, plagued by large packs of Monsters and mighty hordes of demons, making it the most perilous of the three targets.

The battalion’s mission was to secure the city, rescue any remaining survivors, and establish a stronghold. Given the distance and danger, they would need to rely entirely on their strength and resourcefulness, with reinforcements being virtually impossible.

Grand Marshal Anglius, the Royal Guards, and the 19 Bloodline Soldiers exchanged nods of solidarity before marching down the mountain, each heading in a different direction. Their disciplined march and unyielding resolve signaled the beginning of the Xaos Kingdom’s expansion.

Vlad watched the forces leave with a solemn light in his eyes from the peak of the Xaos Tower. There was great danger in this mission, but he trusted Overlord’s insight, knowing that the A.I. Chip Clone prioritized the safety of the Xaos Kingdom’s people over expansion.

He then assessed the Silent Wind Military Base’s current power. Less than two hundred well-trained soldiers were left. If Vlad remained in the city there would not be a problem, but he had other plans.

Fortunately, Vlad no longer needed to worry about this, as Overlord could handle any incursions that might arise. The Xaos Tower could unleash destructive power with High Champion Spells, and magical traps surrounded the entire mountain. Unless an army of twenty thousand strong, led by several High Champions, attacked, the base would be secure.

"It is time for us to march as well." After glancing at the Silent Wind Military Base, Vlad flashed across the streets, ensuring no one noticed his presence before jumping over the east wall.

Two people awaited the Depravita of Wrath. One was a small yellow cat covered in a blue and red magic robe, and the second was a beautiful woman with a fierce aura clad in impressive armor inspired by the viking race.

Vlad smiled and nodded to Jormungandr and Freya before they marched forward, heading into the massive mountain range that acted as a natural border between Constantine Country and the Azarin Empire.

The goal of this incursion into the Azarin Empire was not assassination, but it still required utmost secrecy.

That was why Vlad chose only Jormungandr and Freya to accompany him. Each of them was more than capable of handling any potential threat, and in case they split up, they had the power to survive on their own and escape.

Jormungandr lay on Vlad’s shoulder, and the Depravita of Wrath and the viking princess moved through the massive mountain range at a breakneck speed. As they got deep inside the mountain range, a meaningful light appeared in the trio’s eyes, and they all turned to the right.

"¡BOOM!"

"ROAR!"

Explosions and bestial roars echoed in the distance. The Depravitas and the Viking exchanged glances before performing a small nod and silently heading into the area. Immediately, their eyes widened as they saw what seemed like two massive bears, each larger than a house, fighting against each other.

The fact that they could hold energy in their flesh and blood marked them as Monsters, and the kinetic blasts they unleashed with each strike made it clear they were very powerful.

Usually, people would be filled with dread seeing such massive beasts, but Vlad, Jormungandr, and Freya smiled as they found their dinner since there was nothing more delicious than Monster meat.
