Chapter 202: Large deployment (I)

It took several hours, but Vlad managed to fully engrave the Demonblood Ironhide Runic Set into the body of Ouroboros without a single flaw. The duo rested for an hour before Vlad raised his runic pen again to work on the bloodline matrix.

"The devil bloodline I will grant you will provide immense physical strength and endurance. According to the A.I. Chip, the Bloodline Ability that can be born from it will allow your body to adapt even better to the battlefield. Are you ready?" Vlad spoke with a broad smile, thrilled by the power-ups that Ouroboros was about to receive.

The Depravita of Greed immediately nodded, feeling the thrill of rising power and unable to get rid of the excitement.

Vlad nodded and, without uttering another word, placed the runic pen on Ouroboros’ skin and began implanting the bloodline matrix. His abilities had grown with each task, so it didn’t take long before an entire red matrix appeared across the body of the Depravita of Greed.

Only once the last line was engraved did Ouroboros relax, allowing his body to shake off all the pain. Although his face was pale, he smiled as he felt the radiation from the bloodline matrix slowly changing his body. He was sure it wouldn’t take long before a red orb materialized in his Soul Dimension.

"Go back with Mirena. They will soon march out of the Silent Wind Military Base, and you should be with them." Vlad paused, a solemn expression appearing as he gazed at the Depravita of Greed. "Don’t be arrogant because of your power. There are dozens of ways one could perish. Listen to the people who are more experienced than you and learn from them as much as you can."

Ouroboros did not dare to take those words lightly and solemnly nodded. There was a sea of knowledge in his A.I. Chip. There was a myriad of creatures on Terra whose power could easily crush him.

"I will make sure to learn from the veterans, Master, and will do my best to keep them safe." There was a meaningful light in the eyes of the Depravita of Greed as he uttered those words and performed a small bow toward Vlad before leaving the underground level.

Vlad smiled as he watched the white wolf leave. The way Ouroboros behaved made him very glad he chose him as the Depravita of Greed. His eyes then turned to the alchemy laboratory and saw Jormungandr emerge. "Haha, did you just wake up?"

"Hmph." The small yellow cat sneered before waving his hand and throwing a gray rocky cube. He had been working on it for the last few days and had finally finished.

Vlad caught it and smiled at the small yellow cat, knowing it was a new Thunderstrike Obsidian Armor. The one he had used before had shattered during his last assault on the Strong Hammer Military Base, so he needed a new one. Without wasting time, he placed the rocky cube on his chest, and this one began to expand in the next second, covering his entire body in the mighty armor that enhanced his lighting powers and demonic abilities.

"They are preparing for a large deployment?" Jormungandr asked in a sleepy tone. He was tired, but his A.I. Chip showed him the movements of the soldiers above the ground. The level of activity clearly indicated that it was not just a simple drill.

Vlad did not answer immediately, focusing on the energy pool at the center of the underground level of the Xaos Tower. "Overlord, what is happening?" He was no longer in charge of mobilizing the troops of the Xaos Kingdom, and that responsibility had fallen on the A.I. Chip Clone.

As soon as Vlad uttered those words, the voice of an old man echoed in his and Jormungandr’s minds. "Answering the Prime Master’s inquiry. The forces of the Xaos Kingdom are currently mobilizing with the goal of rescuing refugees and prisoners from Triggun City, Canvas City, and Knight City. This is part of a larger plan to take control of the entire eastern region of Constantine Country."

Vlad and Jormungandr were struck by the complexity and thoroughness of Overlord’s plan. As the detailed, step-by-step plan echoed in their minds, the duo couldn’t help but glance at each other with a newfound respect for Overlord’s strategic prowess. Once completed, this plan would undoubtedly bolster the power of the Xaos Kingdom.

Overlord’s plan was not just detailed, it was meticulously thought out. It included the deployment of multiple battalions, each with specific roles and objectives. The first wave would establish forward bases, ensuring secure supply lines and communication networks. These bases would be equipped with defensive measures and medical facilities to support the advancing troops and rescued civilians.

Specialized units were designated for infiltration and liberation missions. These units, trained in guerrilla tactics and urban warfare, would move ahead of the main force to neutralize key enemy positions and create safe corridors for the refugees. They would also gather intelligence on enemy movements and potential threats, feeding this information back to Overlord in real-time.

Overlord had also devised contingency plans for various potential obstacles, including natural disasters, enemy counterattacks, and logistical challenges. These plans ensured the mission’s success under different scenarios.

"Boss, should we join the soldiers?" Jormungandr knew the forces of the Xaos Kingdom were powerful and well-trained, but with the addition of the two stronger Depravitas, they could steamroll over any horde or enemy in their path.

Vlad considered things for a moment before softly shaking his head. "The goal of this mission is to rescue people and obtain death row prisoners. It would not be fast and would take months of marching." As he looked into the distance, a sharp and meaningful light appeared in his eyes. "There is something we can do that will be even more beneficial for the kingdom."

Jormungandr’s eyes widened as he focused on the direction of Vlad’s gaze, realizing it was toward the Azarin Empire.
