Chapter 140: Killing the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental

Vlad focused on the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental, which could not believe what was happening, and his smile only grew colder. His right arm was crippled by the scorching damage of the lightning maelstrom, and he had suffered extensive damage on the right side of his body along with his internal organ, but his legs still worked and his left arm was full of strength.

"Boom!" He let go of Freya, his entire body bursting with strength, and he surged forward with explosive might like a comet, appearing in front of the elemental in a second.

The Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s eyes widened as it saw the young man appear before it, immediately trying to fight back. Unfortunately for the elemental, it had endured too much damage to its body and the backlash prevented it from moving or posing any form of resistance.

Vlad did not hesitate. With a cold smile, he used the momentum of his dash and punched right into the chest of the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental, his fist piercing through the rocky flesh as he grabbed the energy core.

"Good fight." That was the last thing the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental heard before Vlad ripped the energy core from its body, killing it!

A fierce sense of bloodlust emanated from Vlad’s body, but soon focus returned. While a Depravita gained power through chaotic and evil physical energy, one of the core aspects of their nature was their formidable mental fortitude. Unlike demons and devils, they were meant to rise above those feelings and emotions, not be slaves to them.

Immediately after killing the elemental, Vlad fell to the ground. That last dash and attack were impressive, but he had used all his strength in it, and now he needed to take care of the severe damage his body had sustained.

[Beep! The Host’s body has sustained severe burns, and damage to the cardiac muscles, and is in danger of respiratory arrest. There is severe damage to the nervous system and internal organs. The Host must secure medical attention immediately, or else the wounds will cause irreparable damage to the life force.]

Now that the fight was finally over, a more detailed analysis of the damage came from the A.I. Chip. Even Vlad could not help but frown as he saw the report. Damage to the life force was something extremely hard to fix and could hinder his potential and future growth, so he did not dare to take it lightly.

"Boss!" Just as Vlad was assessing his situation, a voice echoed across the mountain and Jormungandr rose back to the peak, his little face full of fear, only calming down after seeing that Vlad was alive.

Vlad showed a kind smile to the small yellow cat as he saw it running toward him, but did not lose focus. "Jormungandr, hand me your Rank 2 Alchemy Potion."

While Vlad had not dared to ask for Jormungandr’s potion before since this one might need it, now that all the enemies were gone, it would not be a problem, not to mention that he desperately needed to heal his body.

Jormungandr did not hesitate. He grabbed the space ring hidden beneath the fur of his neck and took out the potion, handing it over to Vlad, who immediately began to drink it.

As the liquid flowed down his throat and he felt the healing force ready to spread in all directions, Vlad commanded the chip, "A.I. Chip, focus the healing force of the potion on the wounds that might endanger my life force."

Not a second after Vlad sent the command, he felt the power of the A.I. Chip take control over the healing force of the potion, channeling it with surgical precision. Immediately, his condition began to improve.

[Beep! Redirecting healing force to life-force-threatening wounds.

...

...

...

The full power of the healing force has been used. The Host’s internal organs have been restored to stable condition. There is no longer a danger to the Host’s life force.]

Vlad was ecstatic to hear that. Had the healing force of the potion spread through every inch of his body, it would have healed his minor injuries completely, but it would not have been enough to push his internal organs to a safe state.

Of course, Vlad knew there was still a lot of healing to do, requiring a massive amount of vitality. After all, his right arm was charred, with every muscle, tendon, and nerve in it destroyed by the lightning power. If he were a normal human, the arm would have been as good as lost, but he was a Depravita.

Soon, Vlad’s eyes turned to the two figures walking toward him, and he greeted them with a smile. "It was hard, but we have succeeded. Here, this is yours."

Freya saw how Vlad threw her the Lightning Abyssal Blood Elemental’s energy core. Although, according to their original deal, she was the one who would keep the High Champion’s corpse, she did not know what to think, given that it was the young man who played the most crucial role in its death.

Vlad saw the expression on the young woman’s face and he just smiled. "A deal is a deal. Besides, I will take control of something much more precious to me."

Freya was a little confused by those words, and just as she wondered what Vlad meant, her eyes widened as she saw the young man marching into the pool of Molten Demonblood Essence!

"What are you doing!? Get out of there!" Freya shouted to Vlad, worry in her eyes, and she was not alone since Grey Hawk was also perplexed by the young man’s actions.

That Molten Demonblood Essence was made out of the blood and corpses of thousands of demons, and it was clear that pieces of their broken souls remained inside, carrying the corroding will of the Abyss. Even if one was resistant to demonic energy, the psychic chaotic force would twist their ego.

However, Vlad only smiled at the duo and kept walking forward, allowing the Molten Demonblood Essence to cover everything but his head.
