Chapter 130: Her Life Changed Drastically
Abigail was utterly shocked. How could he have suddenly assigned a bodyguard to her? And now this man would be driving her around?
She frowned, clearly perplexed by this sudden arrangement, as Sawyer had never mentioned anything.
"Miss Snow, it’s an honor to meet you and to be your designated chauffeur," Vincent said, slightly bowing.
"Hello. It’s nice to meet you, too, Vincent. But please, call me Abigail," she replied with a smile, correcting him. Hearing her last name brought back unpleasant memories of her distant father.
Despite her confusion, Abigail decided not to show her hesitation over Sawyer’s arrangement. She would talk to Sawyer privately later when his people were not around.

Abigail said nothing on their way to the hospital. Sitting next to Sawyer, her attention was focused on the street outside, and her mind was filled with all that had happened over the past few weeks. It still felt surreal to her.
She had imagined that her life would change when she started dating Sawyer. Still, she never expected the changes to happen quickly and in an unforeseen direction.
A lot has happened since they began their relationship. Now, she was living with him under the same roof, even though they never intended that to happen. She also received protection from his people. He even gave her a car and a chauffeur.
Abigail was puzzled about whether she should feel happy or worried. She felt confused, as she had never received this level of attention from a man before—neither her ex-fiancé nor her father.
"Did yesterday’s incident trigger Sawyer to become overly protective?" she wondered.
When Abigail was lost in her thoughts, Sawyer suddenly took her hand. She was surprised and looked down at their hands before glancing at him.
With a smile in his eyes, Sawyer made her feel more relaxed, and her worries about the changes in her future gradually faded. She smiled back at him but froze when he slipped his other hand behind her and pulled her closer.
Fearing that he might suddenly land a kiss on her, she leaned in and whispered, "Sawyer, we are in the car with your people in it!"
Sawyer smiled playfully and replied, "So?"
Abigail sighed and turned to look at Vincent and Brody, the two men in the front seat. They appeared tense but remained silent.
She turned to look at him again, surprised to see he was still staring at her. A faint smile framed her lips as she whispered to him, "We need to talk after my MRI, Sawyer!"
Abigail’s firm expression is enough to make Sawyer feel tense, knowing what she wants to discuss.
"Hmm, we will..." Sawyer no longer tries to tease her. However, his hands still gently held her, pressuring her to sit close to him as if he worried about losing her.

Century Hospital.
It was four in the afternoon when Abigail had just finished what she thought was an unnecessary complete medical check-up.
Feeling exhausted, she sat beside Sawyer on a cozy sofa in the lounge of the VVIP wing—a luxury section of the hospital that caters exclusively to patients who have purchased a costly membership.
Abigail had heard about this VVIP facility on the news in the past and had always wanted to visit, but she had never had the chance until now. Not only was she finally seeing the luxurious environment, but she was also experiencing it as a patient.
Looking over at Sawyer, she noticed he was busy reading an email on his phone. She waited for him to finish, but he remained engrossed in his screen after a few minutes. To distract him, she leaned her head on his shoulder.
Sawyer turned his head to see her face more clearly and asked with concern, "Are you alright?"
"I’m not alright, Sawyer. I feel tired and want to go home to sleep," she said weakly, adjusting herself to face him. "How long are we going to wait here? Can we just go home and wait for them to email us the results?" she pleaded.
Abigail knew she was fine and felt no discomfort, so she didn’t want to stay any longer. This unnecessary examination felt like a waste of time and money.
"I actually prepared a room in case you feel tired like this and need to rest," Sawyer replied, tucking his phone into his pocket. He took her hand and stood up from the sofa. "Let’s go, Abby..."
"What room?" Abigail asked, confused. Still, she followed him down the long, empty corridor. Not a single patient or hospital staff member was present as they approached the room.
"Abby, this is the patient room. I’m sorry I’m bringing you here so late," he explained as he opened the door.
Abigail was no longer surprised by his explanation; she didn’t refuse to enter the room since all she desired was to lie down and rest her back.
However, when she looked inside the room, she was stunned to see that the interior of the patient room in this VVIP facility was utterly different from the patient room in the hospital she usually visited when her mother and grandmother were hospitalized.
This VVIP room resembled a hotel presidential suite: it had two bedrooms, a vast living room, a modern kitchen, and a dining room with ten chairs arranged around it.
"Wah, this feels more like a hotel room than a hospital," Abigail whispered, causing Sawyer to chuckle.
He didn’t comment but led her to the bedroom, typically used by families accompanying their sick relatives.
"Abby, you can rest here while we wait for the results," he said, showing her the bedroom. It contained a queen-sized bed in the center, a sofa in the corner near the large glass window, and a bathroom across from it.
Abigail was amazed at how large the bedroom was—it was comparable in size to her house on the rooftop. As she slowly entered the room and looked around, her eyes were drawn to the soft bed. Before she realized it, her feet were leading her toward the bed.
