Chapter 124: Find Out the Woman’s Identity!

The Next Morning,

In the heart of Solhaven, a beautiful woman sat gracefully on a sofa in a luxurious penthouse, delicately holding a porcelain white teacup.

She was dressed casually in an oversized white shirt and black yoga pants, yet she still looked stunning. Her dark blonde hair cascaded down her back, enhancing her natural beauty. The woman was Serena Philips, an international movie star.

In front of her sat a man in a black bomber jacket, his expression weary, as if he had not slept well the night before.

Serena gestured for him to drink his tea, but he politely refused.

"Serena, I need to rush home. I’m so tired after waiting for Sawyer Jones and following him all night," he said, covering her yawn with his hand. "Sorry, Serena, but I really need to sleep now. I miss my bed! I won’t be able to stay here for long..."

"Thank you. That’s why I hired you. You are the best in this field, Detective Robby." Serena smiled as she gracefully set her cup of tea down.

"Thank you, Serena." Robby chuckled lightly while scratching his messy, dark, short hair.

"You mentioned that something interesting happened early this morning?" Serena asked again, eager to learn about Sawyer’s whereabouts.

More than a week after arriving in the city and visiting his parents’ house, Serena still hadn’t seen Sawyer. This made her curious, as she felt Sawyer intentionally avoided her when she desperately wanted to meet him and discuss their future.

After waiting several more days without receiving a call from him, Serena had no choice but to hire a private detective, her old friend Robby, to watch Sawyer’s every move.

She was delighted when Robby called her early in the morning to finally give her valuable information about Sawyer. She had been anxious to learn this.

"Yes, you will be shocked!" Robby calmly answered as he took out his cell phone and sent a few pictures to Serena’s mobile.

Serena’s eyes beamed, looking at Robby.

"Well, my friend, I have just sent you some interesting pictures. It’s not subtle pictures. You can check them out for yourself..." He leaned back against the sofa, eagerly watching Serena’s reaction.

She excitedly grabbed her cell phone and opened the pictures. Her smile widened when she saw Sawyer standing next to a car, looking handsome. She zoomed in to gaze at his striking features more clearly, tracing her delicate finger over his lips in the image.

After so many years apart with no contact, this was the first time she had seen his picture again, even if it wasn’t apparent. Still, she was so happy. In an instant, Serena felt a strong desire to meet him again.

All this time, she had only heard about him from his grandmother, who frequently updated her on Sawyer’s life. The fact that he had never had a woman beside him gave her hope; he was still single, which was enough for her to feel confident about starting their relationship.

’Sawyer, if you’re too shy to approach me, I’ll take the initiative, just like I did in the past,’ Serena thought with a smile.

However, when she clicked on another picture, her smile suddenly faded. A thin line formed on her fair forehead as she saw Sawyer hugging a woman.

At first, Serena refused to believe it was Sawyer. Still, after checking another photo, her heart began to ache at the sight of his face. It was him. She tried to zoom in on the woman’s face but couldn’t see it clearly.

Serena turned to Robby and asked, "Who is this woman?" She was eager to know how Sawyer could be hugging someone in a public space like that.

She knew Sawyer was the kind of man who didn’t show affection publicly; he was very private about his life. But now, he was hugging a woman—and she knew that woman, not his sister, Angela.

"If I’m not mistaken, that woman is Sawyer’s girlfriend. When I took that picture, they hugged for a while before he carried her to his car like a man carried his newly wedded wife," Robby explained, feeling sorry for how angry and jealous his friend was becoming.

"Don’t talk nonsense, Robby!" Serena’s voice rises slightly, her eyes shaking as she stares back at him. She can’t trust what she sees and needs to hear it from Sawyer to believe it.

"Oh, come on, Serena. Why did you scold me? I’m just saying something that obvious," Robby sighed deeply, feeling exhausted as Serena chastised him again. He wished he could vanish from the room.

Noticing Robby’s uncertainty, she continued to convince him. "Sawyer doesn’t have a girlfriend. I know this from his grandma. Okay, you’re your presumptuous shit. Can you please do your job properly and check the woman’s identity?"

"Serena, as your bestest friend, please don’t mind me saying this. Please, can you stop pursuing him?" Robby sighed deeply, seeing her anger directed at him.

As her best friend, Robby felt pity for her. Although she has a promising career and is set to become a national icon, she still longs for Sawyer.

"Can you move on? Sawyer obviously no longer dreams of being together with you, Serena. If he did, he would have reached out when the news of your return went online. Am I right!?"

"Robby, please. I’m asking you to investigate that woman as a detective and a friend who cares for me. Can you do that?" Serena’s eyes began to redden as she fought back tears, enough to convince Robby to agree to her plea.

"I see. Okay, I will check that woman’s identity and relationship with Sawyer. But because I will present you with facts, I can’t promise that my discovery will bring happiness to you, if I can discover her identity at all."

Robby felt uncertain. This early morning, he thought that Sawyer had noticed him, which is why he could not follow their car; someone had blocked his vehicle at the entrance.

Serena’s smile grew on her beautiful lips, "Understand. By the way, thank you for doing this, Robby."

Robby sighed deeply as he noticed how obsessed Serena had become.

"There’s no need to apologize. Just transfer the money to me. I need it! And if I find out who that woman is, what do you want to do about her?"

Serena was caught off guard by Robby’s question. She hadn’t fully considered it yet; she wanted to know the woman’s identity, and that was it.

If the woman were of equal status to her, she would worry. If not, she would just remove her from Sawyer’s life.

"I just need to know her complete identity. Make sure you get it to me quickly before I return to M Country," Serena replied calmly. However, inside, she felt anger rising against that woman.

’Whoever you are, I will find you! How dare you steal Sawyer from me?’
