Chapter 486: 0486 Warning_1

Ruffy Smith stood still, his tall and slender figure looming as he looked at his father with amusement, "Are you about to pour cold water on me again?"

Taylor Smith pressed on his temples, "When did you get together with Ellen Young, and why didn’t you tell me about something so important sooner?"

"We’ve only confirmed our relationship recently," Ruffy shrugged, knowing that James Moore was already aware, and his father would inevitably find out too. He no longer hid the truth, "It’s just been a few days. I was planning to formally introduce her to you on your birthday."

Taylor Smith looked at Ruffy incredulously, "This is the only thing in my life where I’ve misjudged."

Hearing this, Ruffy’s face darkened immediately, "Are you saying you think I couldn’t win over Ellen Young? You’re my father, don’t you have any thought of supporting me?"

Taylor Smith said, "This is just a logical conclusion."

He glanced at Ruffy nonchalantly, "Not many people would believe you if you told them, but now that you’re really dating her, you should be aware. If you mess around outside, I won’t be able to save you when the higher-ups come looking for trouble."

If he dared to be with Ellen Young, he had to be mentally prepared.

The higher-ups would definitely investigate Ruffy’s ancestors eighteen generations back, but the Smith Family had a clear heritage and weren’t afraid of this. Still, Ruffy’s life would undoubtedly be subject to some surveillance from now on.

After all, the person he was with was Ellen Young; this was not something that could be easily brushed off.

Ruffy just sneered and then said, "I’m off to the company."

This time, Taylor Smith didn’t say anything, just watched Ruffy leave. After a while, he chuckled softly, revealing a trace of a smile on his face.

Ellen Young openly revealed her identity to Mr. Moore, making it clear to him that since Ruffy was her boyfriend, naturally, as his girlfriend, she could not possibly watch him spending time with other women.

It wasn’t a question of whether it was appropriate or not, but rather that it was an utterly preposterous situation.

With Ellen Young standing firm, Mr. Moore, no matter what, couldn’t find any reason or excuse anymore.

Not being his biological granddaughter, anyone who heard about it would think Mr. Moore was acting quite preposterously.

After making a phone call, Ellen Young was informed that the matter ceased to be a concern once Mr. Moore left. She had other matters to attend to. Lonely genius Ryan Henderson sent her a message—he was returning to the country.

He was scheduled to arrive the day after Taylor Smith’s birthday, as previously agreed upon.

However, with Ryan Henderson returning to the country at this juncture, he was bound to attract some attention. He said his cellphone had begun receiving strange warning messages; the sender didn’t reveal anything, nor did they clarify if it had to do with Theodore Hailey. They left an ambiguous statement, and then the message self-deleted.

For someone skilled in computers, creating a simple program wasn’t difficult.

They hadn’t even given Ryan Henderson a chance to gather evidence, which indirectly proved that the situation was indeed more serious than they had anticipated.

There was someone behind Theodore Hailey, and they did not want to make a big fuss about this matter, now having started to issue warnings to Ryan Henderson.

If Ryan Henderson really was just an ordinary student, talented or not, he would be controlled and forced to compromise. But Ellen Young happened to be involved in this matter.

Ellen Young stayed at home in the morning, spending some time on her experiments. She made a simple lunch for herself at noon. After eating, she poured a cup of coffee and placed it on the table, then picked up her cellphone to check the latest messages on Twitter.
