Chapter 424: 0424 Collision_1

Damien Frost looked at Lucy Wood incredulously, feeling as if she might have really damaged her brain.

Nevertheless, he said, "Our identities are special, and it’s not suitable for us to have girlfriends right now."

That was the excuse he found, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll go out first."

Lucy Wood arched her eyebrows upon hearing he didn’t have a girlfriend, but unable to find any other reason to speak to Damien Frost, she could only nod in agreement.

After Damien Frost left, she sat alone, sipping her soup, lost in thought.

Ellen Young and Ruffy Smith stepped outside, and Ruffy seemed in a good mood, "Did you just tell her you’re going back to Imperial City to record a program?"

Ellen nodded, "Yes, I can fly to Imperial City during the program recording."

Though it was just a short week, considering she seldom went to Imperial City, this was quite good.

Ruffy was about to say something else when someone in the hospital, who seemed to have recognized Ellen Young, became very excited. This person, apparently a hospital staff member, waved a pen and paper and started towards Ellen, but was immediately intercepted by someone.

Two members of the Special Force Team spoke sternly, "Hello, may I ask what you need?"

The girl who was stopped, intimidated by their presence, stammered, "Sor...sorry, can I get Ellen Young’s autograph, please? I’m a huge fan of Scholar Young—super fan!"

The Special Force Team members were unyielding, "Scholar Young is not a public figure, but merely a participant in the program, and does not engage in any autographs or photos. Scholar Young’s identity is special, and we hope you understand."

The girl seemed disappointed and could only regretfully say, "I see..."

But still feeling somewhat unwilling to give up, and considering Ellen Young was not far from her, she shouted loudly, "Scholar Young!"

The hospital wasn’t so large; her shout was loud enough for Ellen to look over, and seeing Ellen, she waved excitedly, looking ecstatic to the point of fainting, "Scholar Young, over here, can I get your autograph, just an autograph?"

Ellen shook her head, and Ruffy lifted an eyelid to look at the woman, his eyes carrying a slight chill.

Seeing it was still a no-go, the girl could only dejectedly lower her gaze.

"I’m going to see the photographer who saved Lucy Wood."

Although she didn’t need to, considering he had unhesitatingly saved someone, she felt obliged to visit on Lucy’s behalf.

"Go ahead..."

Ruffy was about to speak when his phone rang, "You go first, I’ll be right there."

After picking up a call, Ellen nodded and went on her own.

Ruffy stood outside a ward receiving a work call. Just as he was finishing up, he was about to head towards Ellen’s direction when a girl came out of the ward, looking distracted and pale.

As she was coming out, she wasn’t paying attention and bumped into Ruffy, who was passing by.

Ruffy turned his eyes, glanced at the person, and said coolly, "Sorry."

After saying that, he walked by without much concern, heading towards Ellen.

But when the girl raised her head and saw Ruffy, it took just one glance for his image to etch deeply in her heart.

In her previously dim eyes, a vivid color emerged, like a beam of light shining into her otherwise dark world.

She found herself unable to restrain from following after Ruffy, calling out, "Geoffrey!"

Because it wasn’t Ruffy’s name, he didn’t react at all and walked away quickly, forcing the girl to quicken her pace to catch up.
