Chapter 410: April 10th Tense_1

"Grazed?"

Michael was a mechanical arm; the abrasion wasn’t very serious, but it also broke the skin.

Because the movement was too fast.

As Ellen Young was covering her chin, Ruffy Smith took her hand away first. While he was looking at her sudden injury with red-rimmed eyes, he suddenly heard her calm voice, "Why has the image generation capability gone?"

Michael had a certain avoidance behavior towards objects in front of it.

Just like a robot, it would generate an image in its brain when faced with people and any object, much like human visual recognition, and would avoid both people and objects.

Therefore, it shouldn’t have exhibited any actions that would cause it to collide with objects.

But this scrape was clearly a mistake.

It knew Ellen Young was in front of it and should have made a reasonable avoidance maneuver instead of just getting up.

Michael was not human; it wouldn’t have any panic reaction, so it was only planning to stand up and walk away as usual.

It looked like it was planning to chase Blackie.

Ruffy Smith, looking at Ellen Young, almost couldn’t help laughing through his frustration, "How could this have gone wrong?"

Looking back at Michael, his eyes were as if he wanted to dismantle it.

"It’s nothing."

Ellen Young brushed off Ruffy Smith’s hand, covering her chin, then said to him, "You turn off Michael’s switch first. It’s having a performance error and shouldn’t be left on."

Ruffy Smith immediately turned off Michael as she had instructed.

Michael, having been switched off, stood motionless on the spot.

Seeing that it wasn’t moving, Blackie barked at it repeatedly.

Ruffy Smith then turned back to look at Ellen Young. The abrasion was noticeable now, with a thin line of blood visible. The mark on her porcelain chin was particularly striking, and Ruffy Smith felt a twinge in his heart, "Does it hurt?"

His voice carried an obvious concern.

"It’s just an abrasion, it’s fine."

She was an experimenter, and while her status was precious, occasional injuries from experiment errors were inevitable. It wasn’t the first time anyway.

But most of the time she was careful, and she would make full preparations for particularly dangerous experiments.

Moreover, most of her work involved computer information. Aside from preventing equipment leakage or accidental explosions, there usually weren’t any other issues.

Getting scraped by Michael’s mechanical arm was indeed unexpected.

She stood up and said, "There is ointment in my room."

Even if there wasn’t an issue, she was always prepared with these things, just in case.

Ruffy Smith stood up and followed her, pursing his lips with a gloomy look in his eyes, "Let me help you."

When the two of them entered the house one after the other, the program crew and Damien Frost outside were also taken aback.

If Damien Frost hadn’t confirmed that Ellen Young was just grazed, he probably would have immediately classified Michael as a dangerous entity and charged at it.

Seeing that Ellen Young was alright, they were relieved.

It was better not to appear on camera unless necessary.

With the sudden injury to Ellen Young, the cameras certainly wouldn’t turn their way.

The program crew was also surprised, "It’s just an arm abrasion; is it serious? Should we go check on her?"

"Someone’s with her. I don’t think it’s a big deal."

The director was always attentive. Even though Ellen Young was a Scholar, they would be overreacting if they made a fuss over a mere abrasion, especially since even Ellen Young herself said it was nothing serious.

It’s just a scrape. If they went, the most they could do was call someone to apply some ointment.

What else could be done?

Felicia Frost saw Ellen Young decisively instruct Ruffy Smith to turn off Michael, and she breathed a sigh of relief, then she heard the agent beside her say, "This person seems very anxious about Scholar Young’s injury."
