Chapter 370: She is going to die_1
"A person with whom I’m not very close."
If it were just an ordinary dream, it would matter little, but that dream brought some colors with it.
Upon asking this question and hearing Clinton White’s answer, Ellen Young knew that Clinton White might not understand it either; asking him was essentially pointless.
"Maybe it’s just that you’ve been thinking too much about something you dreamed about?" Clinton White thought for a moment, still focusing on the main point, "Who did you dream about?"
If it’s someone you don’t usually have much contact with, it doesn’t matter if they appear in your dreams, right?
Why is the BOSS suddenly asking about this?
Clinton White vaguely felt that something was off and added another question, "Who did you dream about, and what was the content?"
"..." Ellen Young fell silent for a moment, "It’s nothing."
But when it came time to actually say it, it seemed somewhat inappropriate.
Clinton White didn’t take it to heart either and said, "It’s natural to have any sort of dreams, BOSS, you shouldn’t overthink it, dreaming a lot is normal."
Clearly, he couldn’t imagine what kind of dream Ellen Young would have and didn’t see it as something outrageous.
Ellen Young just responded with a "Hmm."
Clinton White reported a piece of news he found quite satisfying, "The Wood Family has not been having an easy time lately."
Ellen Young paused for a moment.
It was normal for the Wood Family to be struggling; they were all still abroad and had not returned.
It was about time for Daniel Wood to make a move.
In just a short two months, things had turned out this way; who could have anticipated it?
"Then they shall struggle."
After all, weren’t the Wood Family’s problems brought on by themselves?
The crux of the issue was what Edward Wood did, dragging the Wood Family down was a matter of time; the current situation only expedited the inevitable.
Who could guarantee he wouldn’t get into trouble when he went abroad the following year?
Such a person would always be a target for exploitation, no matter where they were.
However, Clinton White did mention one thing, "Lucy Wood’s grandmother’s health has been declining recently, she might be passing away soon."
She was already of age, and repeated shocks from recent events had landed her in the hospital, causing her health to collapse more drastically than David Wood’s.
Olivia Johnson couldn’t be bothered to take care of her, leaving only Daisy Wood to watch over her in the hospital every day.
The Wood Family wasn’t lacking the money for hospital expenses at the moment, but the recent turmoil was indeed disrupting Daisy Wood’s studies and life.
It’s likely that once this passes, the family will drift apart.
Ellen Young simply said indifferently, "It has nothing to do with me."
When her grandfather passed away, she didn’t even see his last moments and only hurried back to keep vigil for one night.
She was too busy; some choices had to be made.
She believed the only thing she owed in this life was to her grandfather, and with other people, no matter the blood relation, they had nothing to do with her.
Whether Carol Sean lives or dies, what does it have to do with her?
After hanging up the phone, Ellen Young continued to busy herself with her own affairs.
Yet Carol Sean’s health truly deteriorated to the point of no return; even if Ellen Young could ignore it, Lucy Wood, upon receiving the news, had no choice but to see the other for one last time.
Together with Daniel Wood.
The critical condition notice came from the hospital; initially, they thought that the first to have issues might be David Wood, but no one expected it to be Carol Sean, who always seemed full of life. Just by the vigor of her scolding, people thought she’d live a few more years, yet illness struck like a falling mountain. With her precious grandson in drug rehabilitation with no set release date and facing legal liability, David Wood also ended up in the hospital. After being tormented by the police station for a few days, she lost her once overbearing attitude.
All that was left was regret.
Had it not been for her grandmother’s failing health, the police station would probably never have released her.
When Lucy Wood received the news, she had to ask for a few days off from the crew and, accompanied by her assistant, made her way to America.
