Chapter 365: 0365 Kitchen Killer_1

After getting out of bed, she proceeded to wash up.

Since they were already in the midst of a live broadcast outside, she wouldn’t carelessly appear in front of the camera.

After straightening herself out, she didn’t need to put on makeup, simply took care of her skin, and changed into a casual outfit before leaving the room.

The scent of cooking wafted from the kitchen, clearly Lucy Wood and Melissa Chan were making breakfast.

This morning, they were quite surprised to see that Ellen Young hadn’t woken up yet, and coincidentally, the program team thought this was a highlight, so they let them prepare breakfast themselves.

They were willing to do so since there were ready-to-cook ingredients in Ellen’s refrigerator. Melissa knew how to make porridge, so she did that, while Lucy stir-fried some green vegetables and fished some radishes out of the pickle jar.

The two of them looked quite professional while cooking, and when Lucy served the dishes, she saw that Ellen had woken up and was a bit excited, "Ellen, you’re awake?"

Melissa also came out with a bowl of rice, seeing Ellen, she said directly, "That’s great, we just made breakfast, wash your hands quickly and have breakfast. We only made some simple dishes, so don’t be picky."

Ellen nodded her head. She certainly wouldn’t be picky about ready-to-eat food.

But she was somewhat curious, "Do you two know how to cook?"

She didn’t know about Melissa, but as for Lucy, she had never seen her cook a complete meal during all the time she had been there.

A perfect example of the saying, ’ten fingers not besmirched by spring water.’

Ellen had only asked her to help prepare some ingredients once.

Melissa smiled, "I know how to make porridge."

Lucy also happily said, "I’ve recently learned a little, just in time for you to taste my cooking skills."

Ellen nodded, and Melissa brought out the porridge pot and served Ellen a bowl with chopsticks and a spoon.

Lucy had stir-fried a plate of green vegetables.

Although they didn’t look very appealing, probably because too much soy sauce made them look dark and uninviting as opposed to fresh and tempting, they still resembled a dish, so Ellen and Melissa didn’t think too much about it and both took a bite with their chopsticks.

Suddenly.

"Pfft!"

Ellen: "..."

Her expression turned strange as she placed the vegetables back in her bowl.

Melissa was less polite, spitting her bite out directly onto the table.

Lucy’s expression changed momentarily when she heard Melissa’s criticism, "Oh, my dear Lucy, it’s both bitter and salty. How did you manage to cook this? Did you confuse salt for sugar while you were cooking?"

Lucy was extremely embarrassed, her face turning red at once, "I... it was my first time stir-frying, I thought it was okay..."

If the food was indeed awful, forcing someone to eat it would be downright cruel.

Ellen wouldn’t mistreat her own stomach. If it was disgusting, it was truly disgusting, and all she could say was, "It’s overcooked, and indeed there’s too much salt."

Lucy, looking dejected, said, "It’s my first time, please be understanding. If it’s disgusting, just don’t eat it. Let’s throw it away later and eat the radishes instead. Ellen pickled those, they are definitely delicious."

Melissa sighed, "Ah, I was even thinking of properly cooking a meal with you this week, but now I think it’s better not to. I’m not scared, but I’m afraid Ellen might get food poisoning."

Lucy: "..."

How could she be so mean!

By this time, the live broadcast audience was already convulsing with laughter over their cooking debacle.

After all, everyone had seen Lucy busy herself all morning.

Given that both Melissa and Ellen gave such candid reactions, the audience could imagine just how bad the dish must taste, fearing they would spit it out even on camera.

Needless to say.

Some kitchen killers even claimed that this was all part of the learning process, encouraging Lucy not to be disheartened and to try again!

But for now, they couldn’t see that.
